Abeer

Have you ever made strawberry jam? Well Abeer smells exactly like those first five minutes of jam making, when the strawberries are still bright red but just a bit sweeter. This oil is very good. The strawberries smell real and slightly sweetened. The musk is clean and a bit powdery. There is a hint of florals which I guess is from the lotus flower note that is listed. There is also quite a bit of honey, mainly in the drydown. Longevity is superb, 12+ hours. Sillage is moderate, at arm length for about 5 hours and close to the skin after that. I could however get occasional wafts of honey and musk even after 12h. I would say that Abeer is a feminine/unisex scent, but if you like strawberries you'll love this no matter what! I've worn this in early summer, but I think this might be a winter fragrance for me. I'm not all that fond of sweet scents - and i still want this! If you're the least bit curious - buy a sample on Al Faransis website! They are very affordable and well made. I have several samples and a few bottles, all of which I like. But I prefer the minty Musk Minoun, rosy Hind or the aquatic Abyss to this. Don't get me wrong - I'll be wearing Abeer - just not in summer. Sidenote: I agree with "ptilda", let your oil rest. My bottle smelled a bit odd the first days, a weeks rest left it perfect.

This is my second test of the oil. At first, it was overwhelming, but that might have been a result of my overambitious application. Second try I applied considerably less and rubbed it around. It still started off very strong. It's almost straight honey. The other notes are all present, but it's the honey that dominates. Also, there is a metallic note that is present, and also a fleshy note. . . Not sure what that is? Probably a combination of the musk, strawberry and lotus. But in the drydown, this is really lovely. Fresh and realistic. It certainly would work well as a layering oil as well. I'll have to work to get the balance down, but if you're into honey scents, this is absolutely worthy of a try. FYI, when I received these samples, they were pretty awful. A few days rest made a big difference. If yours arrive smelling "off," consider letting them rest. UPDATE: About 2 or 3 months later I came back to this and the other samples from this house, and they are now absolutely perfection. All the weirdness is gone. This is a truly unique and lovely honey scent.

This is a truly rich decadent honey with the sweetness of freshly picked strawberries straight from the garden. Even though it is not in the list of notes on opening I get a Cinnamon, Bubble gum burst. But... then your skin is enveloped with the warmth of honey, real honey, we have a hive and this is what it smells like. Golden warm honey seeping from the hive and the bees have been feeding on Strawberry blossoms. Underneath all this natural flavour there is a light skin musk and a slightly sharp, sweet fragrance from the Lotus. This reminds me of Spring where I live.

I have this perfume in its EDP version Absolutely LOVE IT!!! Its deliciously sweet , the smell of Honey is realistic mix with strawberry. Always get compliments :) perfect for Spring and Summer :) Its a must have for sweet perfume lovers ! Long Lasting with a moderate sillage.

Oh my Goddess, this is the strawberry musk of my fantasies. Perfect volume, projection and longevity for sociable wearing. Nice honey notes down the back. 10/10

A strong synthetic strawberry note to begin with. You know, like candy or Bonne Bell Lipsmackers we had in the 90s. It fades, and then there's a musk that doesn't seem to do well on my skin. Whatever musk it is that he uses, it's either always a bit foul, or it just doesn't like me. All in all, a bit bathroom-freshener without reminding me awfully of a bathroom. Just not something I want to wear.

Smells exactly like strawberry wine

I purchased 5 samples from this house and decided on a 6 mL bottle of Abeer due to the rave reviews. Abeer is definitely my favorite of the line, so I'm glad I got the larger size, and only samples of the others. I did like Kayseri though, but not as much as Abeer. And the others were just okay. I think the perfumer tends to go pretty heavy on musk in almost everything (and it's not my favorite musk) so the drydowns can smell pretty similar. The musk is not really an animalic type musk, but more of a fresh cotton type of musk. But onto Abeer- first sniff after application is pure strawberry, but that quickly fades into a honeyed musk. The strawberry is still there for a bit but I find that after an hour or so, the berry is completely gone. You are left with a slightly powdery, musky honey. It's a nice scent, really. It's definitely not the best attar I've smelled, by far, but I think for the inexpensive price, it is good. I also would not really compare it to attars I have tried because this comes across as more of a scented perfume oil, as it is very thin in consistency, so I think it has a decent amount of carrier oil, or the components are more diluted before mixing. But the quality is comparable to the price I think. The scent lasts about 4 hours. I don't know how it's possible that people get longer than that unless they absolutely slather it on. But for a normal sized application, I put it on at 10 am today and it is 3 pm and I can barely, just barely make out that I have anything on. Overall, I give this a 7.5/10. Definitely a nice scent for the price, and I am glad I own it but I prefer a richer, deeper, higher quality attar such as Sultan Pasha (however that costs a lot more, so not great if you are on a budget).

This s probably the sweetest perfume I've ever tried. But since it's not an artifical lollipop sweetness but a very real and pleasant one, I really enjoy it. It's a very beautiful combination of thick honey and fresh flowers that make a perfect blend that is able to develop. Strawberry is present, specially in the frst few minutes but then fades and stays in the background. This is a gourmand perfume that is very enjoyable if one loves the sweet smell of honey. Probably suits to men wth the rght chemstry and style but personally, I find it very feminine, almost girly on my own skin. My children love t! Edit: this perfume has grown on me, I found that on the rght pulse points it blooms the most beautifully. It's addictive, beautiful and so realistic..... a pure joy. I ordered a full bottle already and I'm sure I will order more....

very sweet and fruity up top, dries down to a sweeter sundus with a bit of a raunchy base (the honey?). i like sundus better, but this is really nice, too.
