Abyss

The most successful marine perfume I've ever smelt in my life. The first reaction when I applied was a massive smile on my face; couldn't believe someone captured this feeling in a bottle. It doesn't smell of see food or fish or any other smell like that but it almost sends wind in your face as you inhale the scent. It's light, refreshing, uplifting... gorgeous. Holiday, happiness, lightness or heart in a bottle. Wonderful. I can't comment on the longevity just yet as I've just applied but will update my review later. The advantage with the house of Al Faransi is that you can buy a sample, which i did, and then you can order the bigger bottle straight away, which i'm going to do now! This is not normally the type of fragrance I would go for because they're so gentle I'm never sure they match my personality but this one takes me on an amazing trip so yes,I'm wearing it!

Bought a bottle of this recently and been testing it for the last few days in moderate weather. When first applied it reminds me of clothes softener with oud, which doesn't last for long as the perfume develops. Once it develops on skin, it gives off this amazing aquatic aroma that smells different to other marine perfumes I tried,including bvlgari aqua and creed millesime imperiale. Oud is always present but it's very tamed, and I believe the purpose of it here is to bind the notes together and act as a base, rather than front player. The overall scent is very delicate and soft. I recommend you sample this one if you want a different take on aquatic perfumes.

To my nose this was like western designer aquatic scents for men plus some green notes. Watery melons, a green soap, warm sand.
