never throw away a perfume bottle you blind buy right away. i had few experiences where i didn't get the notes i was supposed to then after i forgot about the bottle for few weeks the notes magically appeared EDIT : i purchased a bottle of this recently simply because it went to 20$ deal which is a steal for 100ml , i couldn't ignore the need to try the grape note in it because someone online told me it has a very natural like and light grape note , and i couldn't get what he meant till i went thru 1/3 of the bottle , now i could definitely get it . remember that in most perfumes what you can smell on yourself right away or after few or many tries is in most of the times not what people smell on you . i don't think the notes shown above by this website are accurate because i think they got mixed up with reviews from another oil based crazy expensive perfume by the same name which is why this got renamed to simply " the black " in a nutshell this smells exactly like you got up took a shower using a black grapes flavored bar of soap except the grape scent is not synthetic at all like in soap but rather natural and ripe but also light enough to be manly. of course the soapy note is there and it's the base of it , but the grape note is always at the finish and very noticeable in air filtered/conditioned areas .

Clean, soapy and floral with a touch of grapes. A very simple composition with good performance in my skin. My first impression was like I was smelling and old lady, but with time I start to appreciate The Black a lot more. Its lightness works perfectly on summer. If you can buy it for $20 it is a bargain.

Soapy and fresh, absolutely unisex, I like it alot, but will not buy a bottle - I have a sample - glad I tried it.

This was given to me as a gift by an elderly Arabian. ASQ are one of the most prestigious Arabian perfume houses with some truly outstanding oud oil fragrances (dahn al-oud). They also produce some top perfume sprays. This EDT fragrance is at the lower end of their offerings. It opens with a burst of grapes but it isn't cloying at all. This is a fragrance made for the heat. The heart notes have a soft iris note gently playing in the background. On the dry down the base notes are a delicate oud and sandalwood. It is a very safe and inoffensive fragrance which has universal application. 6/10
