Boukhour Blend

It's one of the cheapest oils from Abdul samad al qurashi, but I like to wear it from time to time, and especially to the mosque to pray, it's definitely an oriental fragrance, what I smell the most it's musk, vanilla and flowers with a woody/ambery base, it smells quite "clean" and comforting to me, the sweetness of vanilla is different than the usuall western combo of vanilla tonka coumarin that I can't stand anymore. @Mick_Trick talks about mimosa and yes it's close to it, the mix of vanilla and flowers is reminiscent of mimosa. I'm not sure this is a scent that everyone will enjoy, but I like it. It's very different from what you can smell in a Western perfumery and that's what I like the most in the end.

This is a fairly light oil that starts with a musky floral lilt running though it which feels like mimosa, sweet but with a vein of tart bitterness. It sits quite close but leaves a decent scent trails in its wake. Quite interesting progression with this one though as the tart aspects increase over time giving the impression of the oil emitted from a squeezed grapefruit skin adding a bracing freshness to the composition. At the beginning I wasn't too sure, but as the tart 'grapefruit' accord developed and a woody accord entered I found I enjoyed this quite a bit, in the end it actually morphs into a nicer version of Malle's Eau de Magnolia, sharp and refreshing unsophisticated fun. Worth checking out especially as the price is very reasonable.

First although Bakhour is "incense" in arabic, there is no incense at all in this formula. however, it creates a nice warm aroma around you, very sexy. a mixture of musk, amber, cedar wood and vanilla combined with jasmine, iris, lilly and gardenia. gardenia is dominant, together with cedar wood it forms the heart of this unique perfume, sort of fruity, exotic and very interesting. although targeting both genders, it leans more to the feminine side.
