Shamia Blend

This is my first perfume review. I do not know how to describe notes, but I can say that it smells like no other perfume. The smell intensifies in heat so it is excellent for summer but also it wears beautifully in cold weather. Longevity is several hours and sillage is 2 to 3 meters. It is an oil so it can stain clothes. I also apply it very very sparingly to the ends of my hair when still wet and this way it stays for the next day, I can even smell it on my brush for the next few days. I feel it is more to the feminine side. It is fresh and deep at the same time, there is definitely white flowers and some kind of fresh citrus? but it is a deep and projecting scent with much more than that.Told you, can't describe notes. I can not smell oud in it inspite being an Arabic perfume house oil. I think the first reviewer described the notes much more accurately. I have been asked many times about what was I wearing, mostly by other women and have wrote it down for people on a piece of paper. This was in several countries in Europe so it must be appealing for Western noses. I have been never asked about it in the Middle East but I wear it anywhere. The bottle is very small and travel friendly. It is a small glass bottle with a plastic stopper from which a small plastic rod is protruding and is immersed in the oil. This is how it is applied by dabbing it on the skin. The oil itself is not viscous or thick. You can buy it from Abdul Samad Al Qurashi house. They have these small glass bottles of different sizes you can choose from. The seller decants the oil from a larger bottle for you. What I experienced is that when you buy a certain amount , they offer you a free gift of one of the oils in the smallest glass bottle which is a nice touch.

This perfume was called “Al Shamiya” because of its scent that reminds of the authenticity of Al Sham land(Syria)...best types of roses and herbs (bergamot, jasmine, orange blossom...) are gathered with fresh fruits (mango, peach, caramel and coconut) in addition to sandalwood, cedarwood and patchouli

floral, fruity and woody notes.al Shamia blend, the literal meaning ( Damascene lady)reflects the beauty, softness and delicacy of that deep-rooted Syrian lady who was inspiring for the nose behind this blend, so no wonder it is more feminine.
