This is the perfect fragrance when the air turns cold... It goes on sweet and you can smell the bourbon vanilla right away. The sweet creaminess stays with you the whole time and the barest hint of fruit reveals itself after the perfume dries a little. As it fades away, it leaves only the memory of vanilla and the sweetness of amber. This perfume has pretty amazing staying power on me...I can easily still smell it the next morning. It's *almost* cloying at first, but not quite, and that goes away pretty quickly. This smells absolutely divine worn under a comfy sweater, peeled off to reveal the delicious smell. This is one of my favorite winter fragrances ever!

I used to wear this scent all the time when I worked at Abercrombie (switched between this and Fierce). I was young at the time and didn't know too much about fragrance notes. All I knew is that it smelled like sophisticated Fruit Loops and crayons if that makes sense,lol. Despite not being the target age for Abercrombie anymore, I still wear this scent because of nostalgia and because it's just so pleasant smelling overall. I always receive compliments on it. It's a nice blend of vanilla, musk,and fruity notes. No, it's not one of those overtly sweet, teeny bopper fragrances. This perfume surpasses the test of time ;)

This one is an oldie but a goodie for me. I used to be obsessed with this perfume in college. It just smells so yummy, sweet but also fresh and clean and bit powdery. It has crazy sillage, I remember my friend used to wear it, and you could smell her as soon as she entered the room (in a good way!). I still have a bit left, and wear it occasionally. Nothing really reminds me of this perfume, it's quite unique smelling and really pretty. The bourbon vanilla is a really interesing note. Oh, and I read somewhere that Taylor Swift used to love this. Kinda funny. :)

Abercrombie & Fitch’s website states the notes are “The perfect combination of floral with a bit of edge, the essences of peach, jasmine and warm sandalwood come together seamlessly.” Not only do the notes on Fragrantica not match the description, but this has no Smell of grapefruit, orange of any kind. I love this perfume and it is definitely not citrusy. The peach plays a role in the background, but I don’t even consider this a fruity floral at all.

I'm such a gourmand gal but this has been my go to fragrance since I was a preteen. I've tried so many perfumes over the years but nothing compares! It layers so well with my body sprays and lotions and is the perfect accent. I love the musk in it, I think if the other notes were more prominent, I wouldn't love it as much! Something about Abercrombie's perfumes are just so unique, you'll never smell anything quite like them

This has gotta be one of my best blind perfumes, as i caved in after reading so many rave reviews, as well as heeding recommendations from friends. Love the fact that it has vanilla, which has to be my favorite note in any perfume. As a fan of sweet scents, i have to say that this falls in line with my scent preferences, and the sillage is at the right level, it is not too light nor too heavy. Makes a perfect gift <3

PERFECT winter scent. the bourbon vanilla is such a unique note and it's one of the most noticeable, yet inoffensive fragrances that can really cut through the cold air. one of the best sillage that i've yet to come across in a fragrance. my friend wore this and i could smell it on her as soon as she entered the room. it smells sort of like the clothing store except with vanilla :P

I believe the introduction year is wrong above---it was released at least as early as Spring of 2002 because my boyfriend at the time bought me the 100ml bottle when we went away on spring break that year. Still one of my favorites, for nostalgia's sake.

Reminds me of College, this was my signature scent, A compliment getter and so nostalgic. It’s a very clean inviting cashmere type scent. Think Warm cotton and sunshine. Unisex but I would say more feminine leaning. Year round I’d also say.

I really like this. Smells like fresh sunscreen. No coconut here, just fluffy musk, sweet citrus, powder, and a 2000s melon note. Very clean and uplifting. I see myself wearing this one to work.

Hands down the best winter perfume out there. It's kind of zesty--I smell soap and oranges with a beautiful vanilla, powdery dry-down. Plus it has surprisingly good staying power.

I just got this perfume and I love it! Absolutely love the spicy-vanilla smell. It smells... POWERFUL. That's how I describe it. It's more of a winter scent :)

Where did Fragrantica get those notes from?!?!?? The official Abercrombie site says : GINGER AND RICH PEACH NECTAR COMBINE WITH SUBTLE HINTS OF JASMINE PETAL.

This was my signature scent in College, curca 2005-2008, fresh and comforting in the best way, musky skin scent. All year round and inoffensive

I went into store to revisit this one, like many others I had a fling with this perfume years ago and smelling it was definitely nostalgic. To me it’s a very simple perfume, nothing super complex or deep about it. I don’t know if I’d say this is a “sexy” perfume oddly enough even though it is from Abercrombie. It definitely smells clean which I guess some could interpret as “sexy”, fair enough. It almost reminds me of Sea Cotton Island from BBW. It’s not a dupe by any means but it’s the type of perfume that makes me think of clean laundry. I’ll be generous and say it smells like “sexy” clean laundry. Despite how fragrantica is describing it to my nose there is absolutely no citrus in this. It is sweet but not like a candy sweet or a gourmand in general sweet, I believe there’s peach that gives it sweetness but it also doesn’t smell fruity like a summer time perfume. I agree this has more of a fall/winter vibe but I think it could also be worn year round. Is this a mind-blowing perfume? No. I honestly forgot about this one, but I still appreciate this one for what it is. I have memories attached but I’m not gonna be buying a bottle, I’ll just appreciate what we had from a distance.

I was able to snag a half used bottle (square, silver top, simple design) of 8 from eBay and after the blast of alcohol which I assume is from it being old, you’re left with a soft, floral skin scent. It actually reminds me of a Philosophy perfume, something in the family of Amazing Grace. Very clean and inoffensive but pretty at the same time!

Wow this smells great! I’m unsure if I have the new formula or the old one because I bought it secondhand but it smells really beautiful. I definitely smell white musk but there’s also a little freshness to it, which is probably the citrus that I smell. I’m pleasantly surprised!

A friend wore this and it was DIVINE! I fell in love with it. I bought some and sadly it just wasn't the same on me. Not bad, just not clean and fresh on me. It was heavier and sweeter. I don't like sweet perfumes.

One of Abercrombie's better female scents (after my favourite Wakely). Hard to describe actually. It's sweet but not cloying, the citrus balances this one out well. Easy to wear, daytime scent.

The bourbon vanilla is such an unsual scent at first spray to my nostrils. Almost off-putting since I'm not used to it. The dry down is indeed very sexy, though! I really like it.

It has been reformulated and comes in a wider bottle. Im sure the notes have changed. To my nose, its powdery and unisex

It was an impulse buy that I regret. I liked it in the store. It smelled so feminine and light. Now I regret it. It's a better room spray...maybe. It's too powdery and sweet for me now.

Abercrombie & Fitch is not a brand that many Australians are familiar with as this designer brand has never reached our shores. I am only familiar with this brand due to the hype that often surrounds their perfume range. Abercrombie & Fitch 8 is one such fragrance from this brand that has a significant following. It's a bit of an androgynous scent, and I was surprised to find it marketed to women as I personally consider it quite unisex. At times it even has a cologne-type smell. Vanilla is rated as one of the most dominant notes in Abercrombie & Fitch 8. I'm not sure if this is a feature of the newer formulation of 8, but from my decant of the older version, vanilla is barely discernible. I smell a subtle blend of orange and sweet melon on a base of white musk, soapy freesia and vetiver. It's a clean 'grab and go' fragrance with moderate sillage and longevity. Nothing out of the ordinary, but pleasant nonetheless. I would recommend Abercrombie & Fitch 8 for casual Spring and Summer wear. You could easily wear this fragrance to the office, to the gym or whilst running errands. It's not a special occasion scent by any means, but the ease of grabbing this fragrance when you don't know what to wear makes it very appealing. It reminds me of L'eau par Kenzo Pour Femme, (just less metallic and salty). Seeing that the Kenzo is much cheaper than tracking down vintage versions of Abercrombie & Fitch 8, I would highly recommend choosing the option that won't tear a hole in your wallet.

Fair warning, I've read online that the formula has changed since the original 8 perfume came out. The bottle I had/am currently envisioning is a small square 1.7oz bottle with a silver cap. Very simple detailing. It's 2010 and I was deep into my first legitimate relationship. I was 17 years old and experimenting, as I didn't know if I was into women or men at that point. My girlfriend (at the time) mailed me some soft cookies for my birthday, along with a '100 reasons why I love you' handwritten letter. She sprayed her letter + the envelope with this fragrance. Most people question the longevity of this perfume but the scent lingered in my home for about two days. I immediately texted her and asked what perfume she sprayed on the letter. She thought it was adorable that I paid so much attention to her detail, and I was impatient to find out what the name of the fragrance was. This was officially my signature scent a week after this event. I clung to this scent for 5 years on and off. I'm afraid if I buy it now, it'll take me back to a time I wish I could start all over again. Soft, noticeable, sweet, but strong.

Anyone else wear Abercrombie Now in the early 2000's? I couldn't find it in the database here but it was a clean floral, a little spicy and attracted so much attention when I wore it. The bottle was an oval shape with a silver cap and I would love to get my hands on one. One of my friends in college wore 8 and I remember her smelling nice but not like the notes listed here. I got floral, a little sweetness with a hint of powder. Reminded me of Fierce for her.

Bought this after smelling it on a friend. It smelled so soft and pretty on her. It was the taller style bottle which apparently is no longer available but I found it on amazon. It's nothing like what I smelled on my friend. I get a generic watery, perfumes smell. Absolutely no vanilla or powder. Most of the descriptions I am reading here describe what it smelled like on my friend. Wondering if there was a reformulation even before the shorter bottle.

Abercrombie&Fitch has many stereotypes and it's assumptions, but the perfume 8 is truly a gem and one of my favorite fragrances of all time. Powdery, warm, spicy and a bit sweet. Very sexy casual, how Abercrombie like. Like a pair of jeans that fit just right and a T-shirt. The girl next door type of sexy.8 is just that. There's no other fragrance like this, unfortunately I cant find any dupes. I hope Abercrombie&Fitch never discontinues this!!!

It's so strange. I like sweet citrusy smelling perfumes but this one is just OKAY. Something in this perfume is a little off--it almost gave me a headache. It smelled light fresh airly cool & girly but not womenly. Hence it's no where close to being sexy. Would be great for young teen girls. Also it would have made a very sophisticated bathroom cleaner scent. Short live for its price. I mailed it off to my sister oversea :o)

Abercrombie 8 reminds me of high school, such a sweet and amazing scent. I have a bottle left and I am concerned it is going to be discontinued as it is not available on the website. I did head to a local store where I was able to find a few. I asked the employees if it was being discontinued and they said they are not sure but it appears to be. Please don't discontinue my favorite fragrance.

I believe this was released even as far back as 2000, as I bought my girlfriend at the time a bottle of this (at her request, to replace a bottle she had just finished in December of 2000) in early 2001. I was not a fan of anything Abercrombie-related, but I had to admit I found this fragrance pleasant.

ahh, smelling this reminds me of high school :) we all wore abercrombie and fitch and loved going into the stores because it'll smell exactly like this. so good. a classic scent, easy to wear and super casual and nice.

was squeezing in between 2 people in line at a bar on the weekend and had to ask the 1 girl what she was wearing. It was this! She let me smell her shirt twice. Intoxicating sexy fragrance!! mmmm

i have this perfume and abselutely love it! and so does everyone else! i would recommend this for the people who like the smell of abercrombie and fitch :)
