Woods 2010 Edition

Nothing like what you'd imagine an Abercrombie and Fitch fragrance would smell like. Unquestionably the best of the fragrances they've ever sold (IMO) and naturally never sprayed around the store (go figure). This was my signature scent from 1994-2010. It is perfect for nearly any occasion. I have never had a person tell me they didn't like this. It projects well and longevity is adequate. The lavender, musk and vetiver blend perfectly (regardless of whether they are synthetic or not). This is now discontinued, which is sad. It was easily wearable by men (and some women) between the ages of 17 - 110. It doesn't offend and draws people near. If you can find a bottle of this (and the vintage is even better) do yourself a favor and get it! This one gets a bad rap because it is associate with A&F. Don't succumb to that logic! Good luck! For the original formulation (not pictured) the darker juice with the blue label, you know the one that goes for up to $300 for a 3.4oz still, why? Bc it's my story of how my fragrance journey began. It was my first real bottle of cologne. I loved it. It disappeared and here we are 16 years later and I find a full bottle with cap and box for 130$. This stuff has so many memories tied to it. This why I love this hobby. I love the woods and freshness to it. As for the last formulation as the one pictured, I have never s,Ellen, some say it's similar and some say way different, I'd agree with different so far since the colors are way different. Scent 10/10 old school quality Projection 8/10 Longevity 8.5/10 Overall 9 out of 10. I'd reccomend the orig. formulation but not for $300, only if it's a good deal

While Fierce is by far the most popular A&F cologne to date, Woods is arguably their most well done. True this one was discontinued for many years, but I cannot tell any difference in the scent, longevity or projection of the new issue. All three of these measures are solid with Woods. For age and situational appropriateness - consider when and on whom a lighter, less aggressive Aramis would fit. I've found it fits all seasons and occasions, except the hottest of summer days and gym time...projection amplifies past acceptable levels. Try it before it is gone again!

This one is amazing. Perfectly well balanced notes of entry, a little bit lineal the smell, but is just perfect. A real mixture of fresh and woody accords. Amazing, a very good option for someone who is young enought for being at college and want to use some woody cologne. Very good longevity (upper than 6 hours). I think this must be the signature one from Abercrombie & Fitch. A very good fragance.

I've had it for about a year and I like it, the stuffs a little strong but that helps it last longer and I would recommend it.

My brother, who's ten years older than me, wore A&F Woods when he was in high school back in the late 90's/early 2000's. Honestly, I never really understood the craze for this stuff, but when it was relaunched a couple years ago, I bought a bottle to see if I could like it. Well, let me put it this way - Woods is probably the best thing Abercrombie has ever released, but that's not saying much. It's primarily a lavender fragrance with a very subtle cumin/coriander/funky kind of note. It's not unpleasant at all, but if you don't like lavender, stay away. I wish there was a little more here to cut the sharpness of the lavender, but after all, this is a "macho" fragrance, not a little boys fragrance like Fierce. If you dig old-fashioned aromatic fougeres, then you'd probably like this. It doesn't last very long, but if you love lavender, you'll have a hard time finding it more up-front and affordable than with Woods. Of course, I ended up giving my bottle to my brother, and he loved it. I already can think of a few alternatives when it comes to lavender.

Hm, I seem to be one of the only people here who can't really get into this fragrance. Maybe it's the "air notes", or that my bottle is pretty old by this point, but it smells like weird chemicals to me. I blasted this stuff in middle school like it was Axe, oh poor ignorant me. I still have a nostalgia for it, and the cap still snaps like it used to. The opening strikes me as minty, before settling down into leather, woods, and lavender. Now that I haven't worn it in a while it actually smells better, or maybe cause my nose is better. The performance is still up there, one spray fills up the space as I type this, so I can't imagine how strong it was when I was putting on 5 sprays before school haha. I'm not sure I can see this as a barber shop cologne but I will admit it's growing back on me. Scent- 6.5 Performance- 8.5 other notes- the age of my bottle is likely affecting the scent

New formula. One of my girlfriend's favorites. Its very barbershop clean, with a blast of lavender, and some woody notes and some light musk to dirty it up a little. Think leather jacket, jeans, stubble. Best under 60 degree temps. EDC concentration, so it starts out a bit synthetic, but mellows out to a smoother musky scent. Extra sprays are OK. 3-4 seems right for me. Very nice, light scent trail, lingers a bit, lasts 4-6 hours. 21+, this could easily be a young man's first mature scent. 7/10 but worth a try/buy if the price is right and you like lighter, clean, but not aquatic freshness.

I had a friend in high school that always talked about how amazing this is. I found it on amazon and paid a fair amount for it because it's pretty hard to find now. Not sure if it's a fake or if I'm just not that impressed with it. It does smell pretty good, but after about a half hour I can't even tell if it's there or not. Not impressed at all. 4/10

I tried it today at London's A&F store. Cheap "old" smell not worth the price. Similar to Fierce? No way padre !!!! Fierce is the only WORTH smell from A&F to buy.

I remember wearing this when I was younger (in my late teens to be exact). This truly was a great scent. However, I do not know what this will smell like "today" as I don't know whether or not they are using the same formula as thee old one. **For anyone that is reading my comment, please note that A&F Fierce is nothing like A&F Woods. They are two completely different scents. If anyone has purchased or smelled Banana Republic's Classic, then they will know that A&F Fierce is like that in comparison. I will also add that I own both A&F's Fierce and Banana Republic's Classic. They are 2 of my favourite colognes and I really can not get enough of them. With that said, A&F's Woods, well...the name says it all. It smells very woodsy, classy, mature, sexy, and it definitely has a musk smell to it. But it is definitely not a modern smell and that is what makes it appealing. It's a very nice cologne and I hope to try this one very soon!

I smelled woods and it didnt give me "wow what is that" like Fierce does. Woods is like the old colognes from back then. The musk keeps it masculine but flat. Fierce has these smooth light fresh notes that blend well and are remarkable together. they keep you guessing and wanting to know what is that in that bottle that smells very appealing. woods is nothing new really. not bad just a bit mundane. you wont get complemented as much as you would if you wear fierce. the bad thing about fierce is its very recognizable due to it being the default scent for the stores and clothes.

I had a bottle of this in my bathroom mirror as a young kid in the 90’s, I got it as a gift. It reminded me of my Dad then, and it still does 🤣. That’s not to say it’s bad, bc it’s certainly not...but it’s definitely in that Drakkar Noir, RL Chaps world. Old school, mature, classic, barber shop. I have a bottle of the original formulation that has really faded with time but ohh well, it’s worth it for the nostalgia... I haven’t smelled the re-release though, maybe I’ll get on that one

I've done some research and apparently it is not the same smell as the original from the 90s. I was excited that they relaunched it since it was one of my favorites from back in the day, but I'm reading a lot that the original smelled way better. I am lucky to still have a half bottle left of the original. I would try and get my hands on one of those if anything. Hope this helps I know someone mentioned that it smelled differently.

This is the one that started it all , (well not this bottle but the older one) this was the 1st real bottle of cologne I ever owned , and I wore the shit out of it in middle and high school .. this smell is tied to just about every first that I encountered as a young man and I still hold it near and dear to my heart even though I don’t use it much anymore.

My husband wore Woods for years and years until it was discontinued. I was very happy when I realized at Christmas it was back. I purchased it and we both swear it is not the same fragrance. Very misleading since it's not indicated that it's a "new" fragrance with an old name. Curious if anyone else feels the same way.

It depends on what you like Igor...and I have yet to sniff the re-release. Fierce is...well, Fierce and Woods is very woody and refreshing and kind of clean sexy; but not at all like Fierce. I prefer Fierce, but want a bottle of Woods, all the same...and a bottle of Ezra!! ;)

Just got this one today and I’m curious, does anyone have a bottle that has a batch code? Mine didn’t have one and not sure if it’s a fake? Looks like a lot of these bottles don’t have one.

lavender barbershop scent. Very manly, mature and extremely strong. Discontinued for about a decade, but A&F brought it back a few years ago and remains popular among the 30+ crowd.
