Tilia Cordata

Growing up in the south of Europe, the linden blossom trees were everywhere during the early summer months and they were projecting their intoxicating scent into the air. This perfume from Acca Kappa reminds me of that scented memory but not 100%! It’s not 1:1 reproduction of that smell in the sense that I remember vividly linden blossoms smells more like a sweet, honeyed floral perfume with a subtle citrusy and green accents. In Tilia Cordata they went more on the citrusy, green aspect than on the honeyed one. I still love this fragrance, it’s gorgeously done, and I am currently really enjoying neroli and petit grain in all possible combinations, but I wish this would be more like my childhood memories, bottled! So, when you first spray it, the opening is very green and slightly sharp, with lots of petit grain/neroli on one side and lemons/bergamot on the other. Fresh, green and really bright! Then, in about half an hour, the scent becomes more floral, yellow and white floral, rich, sweeter, but still a bit soapy soapy, like I remember linden blossoms smelling like from my childhood. As it hits the one hour mark it becomes warmer, more well rounded and smoother, with notes like amber and tonka beans more prominent in the background of the flowers, way more than the green ones. I am so happy to finally own a linden blossom dominant perfume, after trying for the last two years to get my hands on Laboratorio Olfattivo’s Tiglio Mirabilis and being unsuccessful. I still want that one, but this one from Acca Kappa, Tilia Cordata just happened to come unexpectedly into my life during a recent holiday to Sardegna. I am really impressed by how natural and realistic this smells like and I am eyeing a couple more from the brand. When I bought this, I received two more samples of other perfumes from their catalog. For the price, which is on par/cheaper than most designer nowadays, the quality is there! Is this brand not worth the hype because it’s not a new and trendy brand (in other people’s opinion) or how come nobody speaks about Acca Kappa online??

I love this one! It’s a true thilia (linden) and it doesn’t change throughout the day. I’ve been searching for this all winter and wearing it all summer. It reminds me of childhood happy memory when my grandfather placed to dry the linden flowers he collected to make tea afterwords. On my skin everything smells a bit sweet, here I can almost smell a honey note. However after 3 hours I cannot smell it anymore. I guess that this is normal with delicate and fresh fragrances. So, to make it last longer I spray it on my clothes and hair too.

I don't know what linden/lime blossom smells like, but this stuff is goooood!!! It has a realistic *naturally* sweet floral smell (maybe it's the linden blossom?) But what makes this really beautiful is the fresh, moist, green, mossy smell in it that makes me imagine of a gloomy post-rain but cozy, nostalgic sunday afternoon in your or grandmother's garden. Then it dries down smelling like a certain liquid hand soap we had. The interesting mossy green note obviously faded away as soon as it gradually dries down. 9.5/10

Green, floral, and comforting. This fragrance has one of the best linden notes I’ve smelt. It’s lush and dewy—to me, almost humid. For some reason this one always takes me to a park in the heat of summer, flowers in bloom with their scent wafting in the air, and the cool green of the foliage and linden around you. Absolutely perfect for the springs and summers. It can become a bit heavy if sprayed too liberally so start lightly and find your comfort zone with it.

Very much a linden flower bouquet backed up by a green leaf and stem note.very fresh, almost so lite that it takes on a aquatic or rain feel. Base notes are almost noexistemt to me. Linden and jasmine are only floral notes to me, but both take on a green character. I would call this a green botanical / vegatal fregrance not floral. This is very reminisent of a lost chilhood memory. If I did not have that commection I might not like it as much. ⛤⛤⛤⛤

This is like being under linden trees in full bloom! Is gently yellow floral, honeyed and light citrussy, so beautiful! It is kind of the opposite of Tilia by Marc-Antoine Barrois: Tilia is a molecular, otherworldly linden blossom fragrance (which I love), while Tilia Cordata (which is the Latin scientific name of the tree, so it kind of makes sense) smells super natural and realistic. I love both!

I find it a very natural and delicate linden flower, not synthetic like other perfumes and / or perfumed oils that I have tried. Compared to the analogous product of the erbolario there is no comparison. That of the erbolario is almost annoying, too intense Tilia Cordata by Acca Kappa is very delicate even if unfortunately it is not very persistent. It is good to bring without disturbing others

A beautiful straight forward linden scent. Its fresh, delicate, nostalgic and comforting. It reminds me of the back garden of my grandmother on the countryside. Lush, green and floral. I can understand why people would see this as a more soapy scent but on me it smells like fresh linen at best. Fantastic summer fragrance, thats not cloying on the skin but light and very pleasant.

I'm impressed with this scent-wise - it's an almost photorealistic linden flower scent, sweet honey-like floral notes on a bitter, dewy green background. Smells like the linden tree alleyways in my hometown when the trees bloom in the summer. It's very soft, though, basically a skin scent, and sadly gone in a couple of hours as well.

What a beautiful scent! This perfume could be worn by both men and women. It smells natural and not synthetic at all, like many other perfumes. Neroli and linden flower are the strongest notes to my nose. The balance is wonderful! It's definitely green but slighty soapy too.

The white flowers and musk added to this make for a soft and powdery linden fragrance. It leans much more on the feminine side than many other lindens I know well. This is pretty and delicate--it would be hard for a man to pull it off, even though it is marketed as unisex. But it would be a gentle and elegant outdoors scent on a woman, particularly in spring or summer weather.

An underrated gem which has never got the moment of glory. So realistic smell of linden blossom, mixed with green accords freshly cut grass. I prefer to wear it during the summer nights, otherwise it can be really depressing and melanholic. Highly natutalistic, made for pleasure.

Smells like a botanical garden. Definitely as summer scent. Probably wont wear it to work but it would be very nice when outdoors.

Should be called 'Chloe'. So green!

Sigh. Everywhere I looked people said 'Literal linden blossom' 'Nice but too literal' 'Look no further this is THE scent pf linden in nature'. Well it's not. It smells like something by L'Occitane. Yes, you can tell it is centered around linden in as much as that note is slightly stronger than the rest. But please for the love of god don't use the word 'literal' when it makes no sense a perfume that contains neroli and jasmine smells exclusively of linden. Now when we put that blunder aside, it's a very nice floral scent that is more of a soapy bouquet than some location, much less in rain.

I loved this... and now I don’t. Years went by, I bought myself a full bottle, and now I am devastated that all I can smell is cucumber. Okay okay, not JUST cucumber, but that is the prevailing note, and is very distracting from all the other beautiful notes. When I search deeper, yes, there is a lot going on here. But I do not like it anymore. Annoying cucumber comparison won’t go away! Sad sigh.

This is my partner's perfume actually. I chose this for him out of spontaneous purchase. He likes it so much and I ended up spraying same one every time he put this on and ignoring my own other perfume stock. This is bad.. 😅

I expected to love this as I like simple and natural scents. I tested it both on paper strip and on my skin. Unfortunately both times I got an unpleasant note in the drydown that reminded me of a cat's pee. So, no.
