Acqua Nobile Gelsomino

To me this is the perfect feminine « intemporel » classical eau de toilette that make me roll my eyes in each time I use it. It sort of takes me back to Paris in the late 70’s - early 80’s when I was a little girl. Today I layered this beauty with Yves Rocher’s Monoï and was very pleasantly surprised as a new dimension was unfolding. It deepens the floral notes as well as the fruity ones and I can’t get enough of it. Perfect for hot/humid weather.

Acqua Nobile Gelsomino opens mostly with lemon on me. Strangely, what follows the citrus is not the eponymous jasmine, but rather a woody note reminiscent of vetiver, which then dominates for the most part of the duration. Jasmine and citrus behave more like its adornment at first, and only becomes more prominent after about 4 hours, turning the fragrance into a woody jasmine. The sillage is soft and the longevity is around 6 hours. I find Acqua Nobile Gelsomino very refreshing, not only because it is lovely on a hot summer day, but also because it's a refreshing take on fresh, clean jasmine with the addition of woods. But I was indeed surprised that it differs quite a lot from Gelsomino Nobile, since Acqua Nobile Rosa and Magnolia were quite close to their EDP counterparts, only lighter and more transparent. I'd recommend it as a very enjoyable 'cologne' style fragrance featuring woods and jasmine, but would strongly suggest testing before buying if you seek a fresher and lighter Gelsomino Nobile.

This is a soft, light, clean and airy jasmine, much more spring day than heady or indolic. A light, fresh and clean, slightly sweet summery fragrance ideal for warm or hot weather where heavier florals might be too much. Light enough to be suitable for everyday and hot weather, this is definitely a daytime scent, but still has a presence, softly sweet floral. This doesn't smell like a honeyed light jasmine as in elie saab couture, nor a heavy clean fresh laundry jasmine such as bijan, it is much more tamed than that. This is white summer dresses, white cotton blouses in broderie anglaise, Spring blooms on the first properly warm day of the year, I really like this. The packaging suits this perfectly. If you want a heavier, more heady, more sweet version for summer evenings try the edp version Gelsomino Nobile, but this is really a lovely scent for warm days. Longevity a little less than I'd like, about 4 hours on skin with soft gentle sillage. Very feminine.

Ottimo, olfattivamente pulito e naturale. Un letto d'agrumi con al centro un bianco gelsomino. Questo è un profumo. Quando le note vengono scandite senza sovrapposizioni sbagliate ed errori di tempo un profumo suona come un'orchestra! 8.5/10

Tried to like this one, but I couldn't get over the petitgrain note that, in combination with the jasmine and humidity, smelled of unwashed bald scalp and a sweaty tee shirt that has old sweat dried into it. Petitgrain for some reason has this very stale, but sometimes fresh, character to it that can make or break a perfume. This iteration unfortunately breaks. It's also linear, boring, and very pricey for what it is. The bottle is huge and I don't know how I was going to get through with all of this when there's so many better iterations of humidity and jasmine out there (Jazmin Yucatan for example). Like many Italian-based scents, I don't think this scent works unless you live somewhere coastal where the constant breezes of the fresh sea was mingling with it. Pass.

To me, its pretty but I was really looking forward to the Jasmine, my favorite flower. It was really nonexistent. It also does not smell very unique or expensive. In fact Its quite drugstore generic, and reminds me of the headache inducing Clnique Happy but not as artificial.
