Lily of the Valley

Notes as per website: LIGHT FLORAL Head Notes: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Black Currant Heart Notes: Petitgrain, Lily of the Valley Base Notes: Cedarwood, Musk Now, It's very floral. Its honestly all I smell, Lily of the Valley and a little Petitgrain/Orange Flower. The petitgrain is very light though. I don't get the blackcurrant or citrus all that much but if I had to choose, I'd say the black currant makes more of an appearance. Natural and pretty smelling. Gives the soap vibes as mentioned below in previous reviews. I don't know why the reviewer below me thinks its repulsive. No idea what's wrong with their nose or they are sensitive to indole. This is not very indole heavy at all but it is noticeable as with most natural white flowers

Brilliant perfume! this is wonderful summer perfume If you are a white floral lover, you'll adore this! It is that type of perfume that you'll smell throughout the day! And its a clean summer invoking freshness and subtle (not loud) but very much classy perfume! I need this for summer!

Gorgeous scent. I love it. It’s such a sophisticated cool and sensual take of different florals. I can picture standing on the sea side edge with the wind blowing through a white flowy dress on a 69 degree day wearing this. It’s lovely. Day time fragrance for sure. Very spring. 9/10.

This smells like that note I'm looking for in every perfume and if it's the main note I'll buy the perfume. It's so good. A beautiful chic floral that has a tiny bit of sweetness. It's way too expensive for me to buy though. 🥺😅

beautiful clean, slightly animalic, realistic lily of the valley. it’s truly delightful, delicate and feminine. soft and soapy yet clean. one note, pure white florals sillage and longevity are very poor and price is unjust

I grew up with the tradition of gifting Lily-of-the-Valley on May 1st, as it is a tradition in Belgium (and France). When I tested this fragrance, I was instantly brought back to those days. It smells exactly like a LotV, with notes of other flowers (jasmine, magnolia, and geranium). It is a fresh, green, and (white) floral fragrance, and although I think it can be worn at any point (except on cold days), I think it is the perfect spring fragrance for those who like floral scents. It is a slightly more feminine fragrance. The performance is alright. It lasted on my skin for about 4 hours or so, and the sillage was a bit intimate. It is quite a bit pricey imo. 7/10. The scent is quite pretty (8/10), but the performance is left to desire (6/10).

I like this! But not on myself, to me this definitely leans feminine because of the sweetness combined with the white flowers. It's not overly sweet, not at all, it seems very well blended. It's a classy sweetness, combined with that typical white flower smell (my nose can't specifically tell apart the lily-of-the-valley/jasmine/magnolia yet). I think some guys could pull this off, it's just too sweet for my own liking. Would love to smell this on a flowery lady with a dress waving around her on a spring afternoon in a beautiful city park. EDIT: and it performs very well! Can still faintly smell it the next day.

This is a really lovely, fresh scent! It's definitely floral but not overpowering. I get a lot of the black currant and grapefruit in the opening which makes it bright and playful. The lily of the valley comes through beautifully in the middle, and the musk and cedar base is grounding without being heavy.

According to my husband this smells like hand soap 🧼 I actually do think it smells clean, not too floral, not headache inducing. I could see a doctor, nurse anyone working in a medical setting getting away with this since it does kinda smell soapy :)

White florals I can get behind. Mixed accents. Black currant forward but refined. 🤤Nice blend. A little too musky, spicy and soapy for my taste, but I like it.

Pure and beautiful but I prefer more projection. My SA said this was getting discontinued.

Lily of the Valley is a run-of-the-mill citrus-led white floral scent. Nice quality, but utterly generic, it doesn't even feature a particularly prominent lily-of-the-valley note to my nose - it is a jasmine-led generic white floral. LotV opens with fresh citrus notes, followed by clean but heady jasmine. Sweet and strong, it is lifted nicely by the citrus. As it develops, some green lily-of-the-valley emerges, alongside sweet magnolia. The lily-of-the-valley is just part of the white floral accord, not a focal point, and doesn't get a chance to shine as a result. The base notes are really strong - it becomes very musky and woody as it progresses. It is a predictable progression of the white florals, but it goes a bit sour on my skin. It fades to a musky skin scent. Sillage and longevity are moderate, and it is a feminine-leaning springtime scent. Aside from the sour drydown, LotV leaves a lot to be desired, and is nothing special or original. Given its price point, I expected more. Diorissimo it ain't. 2/5.

Maybe I didn't try this in the proper weather, but it smelled very strange to me. Like half of the scent was missing. It was very light and airy smelling, but it still smelled like half of a perfume. I remember sensing something watery and aquatic about it too. I enjoyed testing it out, but my mind couldn't grasp the fact that it smelled like a gust of wind and not much else. Definitely unisex, though. Anyone could wear this. I really don't know why it was so weird. I would try it again in scorching hot weather, maybe that could help the top notes really sing.

I bought this bottle from a friend with heavy discount because she won it in a corporate event. To be honest, I wont pay a full price for this perfume. I love citrus and white florals in overall. However, this perfume is a bit too generic for me. I cant smell black currant but only the citrus, a bit of Lily of valley and jasmine. Everything is nice in very hot location, inoffensive but it will stop only at “nice” and okay-ish. It is hard to call this perfume amazing or memorable. Wont repurchase after I finish my bottle

Smells like Dior J'Adore, they have even many notes in common. LoV almost gone under a strong bouquet of other fragrances. Not bad at all, but not a LoV.

A light soapy frag that is crowd pleasing but not unique enough to justify a full bottle.

Finally bought a full bottle. AdP is my favorite house but I'm not a huge fan of most of their recent signature collection (e.g. yuzu, osmanthus, Sakura), however, LotV is one of my favorites from the entire house. Feminine but I love wearing it and it lasts a long time. EDIT: Realized I don't love this as much as previously thought. Adding this to the list of recent releases I'm not very impressed with. Still smells pleasant but the more I wore it, the more feminine and one dimensional it became. Wish it implemented more of the classic ADP bergamot we all love.

I used to love ADP but haven't been liking many of their new releases. I hoped this would be somewhat unisex but it's extremely feminine. I can't see any guy wearing this. The cedar and musk in the base reduce the sharpness of the citrus and floral somewhat but I was hoping they would work harder to mellow it out more like Bergamotto di Calabria which I love. But if you're a woman who likes florals by all means give it a go but I find it quite headache inducing.

Dislike because of the superfluous price for a boring fragrance with sub-optimal sillage. @vasilisnikolo, beats me.

Smells like body odor. If I really sniff hard I can smell the notes, but just getting a whiff of it it doesn’t smell pleasant. It also doesn’t project at all all. Sillage is zero. Great for someone who just wants a light citrus/floral. Same vein as D&G light blue, but a little less strong.

In theory, I would fall head over heels for this fragrance. Love each note listed! For some reason, I get a very strong aquatic note that I can't seem to get past. I believe I'm getting the aquatic note in place of magnolia? Anyone else? Still, I'm a big ADP fan!

Women after shower in the noon nice breeze with drizzling & little nude lipstick sitting on a log 🪵 in a flower garden with some blackcurrant tree sipping her iced lemon 🍋 tea. That’s how this smells. Extremely generic but gorgeously rounded.

I would ask you why new black line of acqua di parma is more expensive than older classic series like colonias and blu mediterraneo or the same perfumes in brown bottle like quercia that i have?

Summer Spring Scent 4/10 Floral scent, smelling of white florals. Really leaning feminine. Biggest issue is performance, it sits really close to the skin. Sillage 2/10 Longevity 2/10

Where is the lily of the valley? Ridiculous price
