Mirto Di Panarea Forte Special Edition Eau De Toilette

My first experience with Aqua di Parma was a successful one. Was in the mood for something refreshing so I knew this would be the perfect brand to go to! I probably had sampled over the years some of their fragrances but nothing stood out to me until yesterday when I was recommended by the sales associate in store in Noto this limited edition of Mirto di Panarra! And we clicked instantly, both visually and olfactory. The beautiful turquoise bottle with medium blue details plus the butterfly design definitely captured my attention and interest. So I decided to give it a couple of sprays on my wrist and it was instant love. Mirto di Panarea pulls very citrusy sweet on me. It’s such a bright and happy scent, very natural smelling EDT like nothing else in my collection. I have some other green, citrusy, aquatic scents already but nothing quite like this. And it’s such a simple scent...Myrtle, basil, lemon, bergamot, some light flowers and herbs plus some woods. It smells great but it doesn’t last long. The only thing that made me reluctant to get it right away. But going to the store again today and trying it again made me realise that maybe not all my fragrances need to last a long time. Mandarin Basilic is another similar scent to Mirto di Panarea that I really love despite being so fleeting. So, I decided to make an exception to my usual rule and get Mirto di Panarea. It’s so refreshing and realistic smelling that I can’t pass it, especially that it’s a limited edition packaging. Which speaks to my soul! The price is right but also a bit steep in the same time because of the poor performance! I bought this knowing that I will only use this in the high heat, when I don’t want a heavy fragrance anyway.

I tried this and I didn't detect much difference from the original Mirto De Panarea (which is an awesome fragrance). The opening feels very classy with citrus herbal vibe and moves into florals, juniper and woods. The myrtle is there giving it a beach vibe. The final drydown is myrtle and mastic which gives you many hours of a clean, soapy, beach feeling. 🏖️ Scent 8/10 Performance 6.5/10

I loved the original Mirto di Panarea for summer. This Forte edition is really "Forte". Very good performance for a fresh fragrance, however, the price is "forte" as well comparing to the original one. I don't comment the bottle. It's just funny. Anyway I'm very happy with this purchase.

What a gourgeous refreshing scent! You can really smell the herbs in it, the basil in the opening is so pleasant. The special edition bottle is adorable. Just wish it was more than EDT for the price tag.

This transports me to a lawn full herbs, not necessary by the sea, maybe in the mountains or so. It is so calming and a very happy scent!

My brother purchased this for me in Parma. It is definitely unisex, with just a slight feminine edge, citrusy in the top with a slightly powdery, herbal dry down and with the woody and aquatic notes in the background throughout. It smells amazing when sprayed on hair! Believe it or not, this is my first Acqua Di Parma fragrance, so I have not smelled the original. It is absolutely Italian in style and it will be the perfect fragrance to wear to the pool and beach this summer. I’m happy to have this in my collection! And I actually like the bottle. I find it to be very whimsical. The usual Acqua Di Parma bottles are classy, though somewhat boring.

Wowweeee— this is an awesome summer fragrance.. it seems so good and fresh ! Such a bright happy fragrance. The packaging is a 10/10 so adorable. This would be a great gift for a spring/summer birthday. To me it leans femme and it is heartbreaking that it isn’t a long lasting scent. It makes me think of eating fresh fruit Al fresco by the ocean. This was a blind buy and I highly recommend.

Somehow a little better than the original to my nose, but maybe I’m just misremembering. This one seems a little greener/more herbal with something like a mint note. Gives me a similar vibe to You or someone like you by ELDO, but way less minty and more subtle.

I really like the original AdP bottles, but I find their special edition bottles extremely unattractive. This looks like a cheap Christmas wrapping paper. Maybe that’s what is special? It’s the same with Bergamotto di Calabria La Spugnatura.

A bottle that looks like that deserves to be smelled.
