ADAMO PARFUM IV / #firstimpressions IV from Adamo Parfum is an outstanding regal fragrance experience. Opulent, yet straightforward and just perfectly executed – it’s a vanilla-infused oud with sumptuous roses that really modernizes this genre; and is still so easy to wear. It’s velvety, it’s smooth, it’s extremely sophisticated. Certainly a fragrance to consider for its exceptional quality and class. You would expect IV to have an air of luxury for its high-end pricepoint, and it surely delivers. Expertly crafted in Italy, this sweet, floral, woody perfume strikes an enviable balance of fine tones, combining sweetness with the soft embrace of woods and smooth wearable oud. The scent journey begins with an uplifting blend of Baies Rose (pink peppercorns) and Bergamot as the top notes. This segues effortlessly into the romantic rosey and honeyed nuances of Bulgarian roses along with a cocooning musk and cashmere at the heart. Its finesse is truly pronounced through the deep and rich base notes of Oud Assafi, vanilla and amber. You feel an unexpected smoothness on first encounter, familiar and yet, distinctly high-class, Royal even, a tribute to its exquisite composition and blending. I didn’t expect to like this one as much as I do, but Adamo Numero IV really surprised me. From the first spray, it smells smooth, elegant, and well blended. There’s a fresh touch in the opening, slightly spicy and bright, which quickly melts into something softer and more refined. As it develops, I get a beautiful mix of rose and creamy musk. It feels velvety and classy, not overly sweet or heavy. The base is where it really shines for me — warm woods, a bit of amber, and a soft hint of vanilla that gives it depth without turning it into a dessert-like fragrance. What I appreciate most is the balance. It smells luxurious and niche, but it’s still easy to wear. It works just as well for an evening out as it does for a dressed-up daytime setting. The performance is solid on my skin, with a noticeable but tasteful trail. Overall, this is a refined, confident scent that doesn’t scream for attention but definitely gets noticed. A very underrated gem in my opinion.

I do not know why it took me so long to get a full bottle of this because it is seriously beautiful. It is deep, complex, addictive, and it makes me feel something. It opens with bright bergamot and pink pepper before melting into a plush heart of Bulgarian rose and cashmere musk. As it settles, smooth oud, amber, and vanilla create a warm, velvety depth that feels sensual without becoming overly sweet or heavy. Rich, polished, and completely captivating. I cannot stop smelling it.
