Another big hit for Adamo, and I understand why! Juanilio is something special and quite an elegant expression of a tropical fragrance without being cliche or redundant. The opening is reminiscent of a smooth summer smoothie, blended to perfection, creamy and citrusy. What's unique is that the dates and pistachio, combined with coconut, give it a thickness and richness without being heavy. The opening and the heart play extremely well together in dual supporting roles. The coconut is exquisitely crafted; it isn't synthetic at all, but rather evokes the aroma of unsweetened coconut flakes used for baking. Then comes the dry down.... This is where a slight feminine touch emerges. The scent becomes ever so slightly powdery, with the citrus notes taking a supporting role. You get hints of praline mixed with coconut, while dates and pistachio dance together with clean white musks. These are given depth by ambergris notes that impart a subliminal feeling of an ocean breeze. This fragrance captures the essence of a perfect summer vacation evening in a bottle, versatile and artistically composed. Note: I have read some reviews here that take issue with Ambroxan, and I can assure you that this is in no way, shape, or form the headache-inducing Ambroxan bomb like Dior Sauvage. Yes, there are some individuals who are highly sensitive to it, but this sensitivity has more to do with their personal body chemistry rather than the perfume itself.

I went ahead and blind bought this, I love coconut and the bottle is so beautiful... couldn't resist! First impressions: I loveeee it. But the reviewers before me are spot on - its synthetic, it smells like a coconut drink with a cherry. And it dries down to a coconutish musk. Here's the thing.. this is reminding me of something straight from my childhood. I had Hawaiian Fun Barbie from like 1989 or 1990 and she came with a solid perfume. And I'm pretty sure this perfume reminds me of that Barbie perfume. So, yes, it is sort of a nondescript tropical scent with a slight plastic thing going on. And I love it. It's total nostalgia. Maybe not for everyone though:) ETA 8/3: I've spent a few days with this and I just want to reiterate while I really enjoy the nostalgia of this scent is is veryyyyy synthetic. Think plastic Barbie doll coconut and vague sweetness. That's the best way I can describe it. I really like it but I can imagine it will not be everyone's cup of tea.

My personal favorite! In general I like heavy, synthetic, sweet and creamy scents so this was spot on. It is a bit intense at first, but it dries down so good on me; as if it melts into my skin giving that natural skin but sweet and nutty scent. If I find myself missing summer, I just smell this and it teleports me to august days on the beach and cocktail bars with friends in the evenings...I guess it holds sentimental value at this point for me.

Adding my second review... I've worn this one 4 times. I love it at first and then a massive headache sets in. Maybe ambrox overload? I don't know. In any case, I had to pass along.

Juanillo is absolutely a beautiful coconut and pistachio fragrancre, very long lasting and great sillage, yet not overpowering

Smells exactly like what it says : summer in the Caribbean. Gorgeous citrus opening, then the nuttiness brought by the pistachios and coconut... Dates to add the perfect amount of sweetness without being too feminine leaning. Very well executed !

Got a tester because I tried this in the store and it smelled amazing on paper. Sadly I was disappointed with this. The opening is suuuuuper nice. Fresh, tart but very soft citruses with a smooth pistachio nuttiness. I don't generally enjoy the pistachio scent, but this I like! The coconut is more prominent after the citruses fade away a bit. If only it stayed like this... But the longevity is incredibly poor. After an hour there's only a bit of coconut musk left and it's purely a skin scent. Definitely not worth the money, unfortunately. I really wish it lasted longer since the scent is so well blended and tropical smooth.

Sweet warm orange in opening. Creamy coconut pistachio. Musky ambroxen base. Well blended in the opening. Only slight gourmand, not as much as expected. Moderate silage and longevity for me. Unfortunately, the pistachio, providing depth and uniqueness, doesn't last long. Contrary to other reviews, I don't get powder dry down, nor an "ambergris" accord (and the mineral or oceanic impression one would expect), nor spice/"ginger". Just coconut sunscreen and amber musk dry down. Pleasant but got boring quickly.

A frozen coconut cocktail with a single cherry on top. Sadly, I detect a lot of the ambroxan, making it smell synthetic.If that note doesn’t bother you and you want to smell like tropical coconut drink, then you’d like it. I’d love it if the synthetic note was toned down. It does make it long lasting, has a big presence and unisex. When I figure out what other fragrance it reminds me of, I’ll enter it in the appropriate section.

Very initial impression based on one spray on hand: smells like a Lush shop - has the same texture too, powdery gritty bath bombs all mixed in together. A real mish mash of smells, slightly headachey straight away and makes me want to sneeze in the same way as going into their shops, a bit much of everything and not enough of anything to smell cohesive. Very different to what I was expecting! Will update after full wear test.

To my taste, this is too basic and not complex at all. The smell is like the combination of soft and powdery citruses and a liiittle bit of sweetness. It's as basic as it sounds and imo, does NOT worth the price at all. But as a scent, i lowkey enjoy it. 6/10

Heavy and powder, should have listened to the reviews 😣

Powdery Notes are not listed but on my skin the dry down is straight up baby powder. The early dry down is bright and summery, i liked it. I was between this and cliffton and i bought cliffton. I think this one is more feminine. Between the top and middle notes you can smell heavy peach reminded me a little bin of Gossip Nicht Gritti -which i dont like- but eventually the dry down was really calm and smooth but like i wrote wirh babypowder accords.

It is a dense/heavy scent. If you are looking for something light and tropical this isn’t it. I think it smells like THOO Bonbon Pop after it dries down. You can wear this in the winter or fall too. I am not sure, but I think this has patchouli in it. I would rate it a solid 7/10, but definitely get it through a discounter.

This is much much heavier than I would have guessed, on the basis of the notes. Like the reviewer below me said, it's heavy, synthetic (musk) and sweet. Unfortunately, unlike for that reviewer, on me it's a mess. I do not like it at all. I'm missing some freshness at the top. As said before: light and tropical this is not.

On paper this was quite the interesting olfactory journey and experience... Starts off lime & coconut pina colada Settles to a sherbet like musky, ginger & citrus combination like ingenious ginger Dries down to a powdery soapy baby wipe smell and honestly I quite like all 3 stages of this fragrance

Unique unisex fragrance, can’t compare to anything I own or have tried. It does smell like a coconut cocktail of some sorts. Must be okay with ambroxan.
