Moves Her

I'm stunned to see such few reviews of this fragrance. It truly is a hidden gem. I wore this in college for years and purchased it again last year when I finally found it online. It's one of the hardest fragrances to find anywhere, so it doesn't hurt to stock up if you buy it from an actual store. It's available at Walmart and probably on Amazon. It's fresh, aquatic, sporty, maybe a little floral to some, and citric. Beautiful combination of notes. I carried the travel-size one when I travelled abroad last year and got so many compliments on the fresh scent. I ended up giving it to my sister (who completely fell in love with it) since I had the larger version at home. I typically do not re-purchase fragrances, but this is one of the ones I always go back to. In terms of longevity-- I've noticed that many years back, the fragrance lasted the entire day. I never once had to re-apply this fragrance. The current version doesn't make it through the day, hence buying the gift set that comes with a travel-size, so you can carry it in your purse and re-apply at some point during the day. I've never been the type of person to re-apply perfumes since I am conscious of body chemistry changing throughout the day, which can affect how a perfume smells towards the end of the day. However, this one is perfectly fine to re-apply. Given how fresh the fragrance is, most people will smell it from a distance in a good way. This isn't one of those fragrances where everyone's choking on the fumes from a mile away. If anything, you'll receive compliments about how good and fresh you smell when you walk into a room, before you stand near anyone. This would certainly be a safe blind-buy, no doubt. Also...I've not smelled D&G Light Blue, it's on my list of "to buy", so I can't agree or disagree about its similarity to Adidas Moves. However, I owned Cafe Cafe Puro, which is said to smell similar to D&G Light Blue. I don't quite see the similarities between A. Moves and Cafe Puro. I own Cool Water, which I think comes in a lot sharper when you first spray it. I do see the similarities between the two, but they are distinct enough for me to justify owning them both.

I was looking for a classic aquatic fragrance from the 1990s - so, I bought Adidas Moves Her since it won a FiFi award. The fragrance was pleasant enough; however, this particular scent is one of the most fleeting I have ever experienced. I am familiar with Adidas' light and sporty fragrances but this is the shortest-lived scent I have ever worn. I think it might have lasted 30 minutes at most. Update: I tried this fragrance again fresh out of the shower and moisturized skin and it lasted much longer (doh!). I also think the drier weather probably helped the longevity the second time around. I really enjoy this fresh, aquatic scent and look forward to wearing it this summer 🌞 Another update: I'm now truly addicted. This fragrance awoke the aquatic beast in me. I wouldn't even think about another freshie last year; however, I'm now wearing this gem every. damn. day. This frag is perfect for a hot Texas summer. I'm in love. Edit May 2026: first time wearing it again for the summer. I'm still in love.

Aquatic Cedar Freshie... With the initial spray there's a bit of a sting, but once the spray dries I get vintage Cool Water Women Davidoff vibes. This isn't a dupe however, and doesn't get nearly as sweet in the drydown as Cool Water which has honey. The ginger note here reminds me a little of Un Jardin Après La Mousson Hermès, but again this isn't a dupe. There's an overall aquatic vibe here, built from calone which isn't listed, and reminiscent of the late 90s/early 2000s. Over time the cedar comes out which is enjoyable. Light performance, appropriate for the gym etc. Affordable, and those not sensitive to calone might like this. Enjoy!

I'm a bit sensitive to fragrances, but this perfume doesn't bother me at all. It is a very nice, fresh, unobtrusive smell. I am sad to say I don't smell the ginger or lemon like others seem to, but that may be because I cook with ginger and lemon often, so perhaps I have slightly desensitized myself to that smell haha. Smells fresh and like flowers but not flowery, if that makes sense. It lasts plenty long for me, but that might be because of the cool dry weather where I live. This is a great perfume, coming from someone who doesn't like most perfumes.

Finally Moves For Her got listed! I wore this scent for years while in college, and I still wear it today. It has to be the best sporty/aquatic/refreshing women's scent I have ever smelled. I don't wear it often anymore, but it never fails to receive compliments...not that compliments are what I'm basing my love on, but they're always nice to hear. Such a lovely scent at a very inexpensive price. Sort of a cross between D&G Light Blue and Cool Water. I'm not crazy about either of those, but Moves For Her is and will always be a love for me.
