I can see the references it gets to Aventus, it’s in the ball park. With the notes listed, it’s not a surprise. So is it a clone? Well you would be pretty stupid to buy it for that reason, because as a clone it fails miserably. This is a scent that stands on its own to feet, as does Mancera Cedrat Boise. It’s not in the league of Cedrat, but for the prices, it punches above its weight. It’s a lot lighter than Aventus and less in your face. Good office scent. Upon opening, the musk is strong and gives it an animalic quality if you smell the scent directly on you, well at least with my skin chemistry. Sprayed on paper or cloth, this is not present. It dies down a little into the dry down, but it’s still in the background on my skin.

This is practically a darker and mature version of Cedrat Boise, and actually the better-smelling one of the two with none of the cheap plastic nuances Cedrat has. Cedrat Boise is atrocious, I find it to be a cloying sweet mess. This one, however, although sweet, is rather enjoyable due to its dark undertones. The combination of blackcurrant and oud (if any) balances out the amber while the late dry-down has a really elegant smokiness to it. The overall scent, it's a combination of smoke, amber, and pink pepper with a little bit of birch. I love it, this could easily be sold for three times the price. This has zero to do with Aventus, by the way. Best for fall or winter.

I bought this after buying the Ambre Noir and heard about noir being a Aventus killer so I came across this now hard to find gem and the is answer yes it is really a Aventus killer without being a clone. It starts off similar to Byredo's Black Saffron and then makes its way to the Aventus stage. It's very rich in terms of smell and last at least 9+ HOURS and with each hour it becomes more and more like Aventus so much more that a Rep at Neimans Creed counter thought I was wearing Aventus Lol! You have clones of Aventus out on the market but this is NOT one..this has a mind of its own!

Got the arcade noir edp. Im not getting much citrus but I do get a lot of apple which I like. Summer nights with some drinks kinda drink. Fresh, versatile, projects enough to where you lean in and they get a good wiff of you. Lives somewhere between ADG EDP and Azzaro wanted by night. I'm no expert though. I just like cheap good smelling fragrances. I'd recommend this but I'll report back about the longevity.

Fanstastic fragrance with excellent quality and blending. Because of the Agarwood and Pepper notes it's much closer to Cedrat Boise than Aventus on my skin and the fruitiness in the opening is present throughout the life of the fragrance. Longevity and performance on me is well above average with 3-4 sprays. I highly recommend checking Noir out, it should cost much more than the $20 I paid.

This particular juice is so popular now that clones of this fragrance are being made...the original juice is very dark verses the light colored juice that you might see for $30 or so ...the price and for the guest that gave the not even close truth about this particular juice being $20 it's obvious you've never even put your nose on this scent!!!

It's not an Aventus clone the same way Macera Cedrat Boisé isn't an Aventus clone either. Adnan B. NOIR is a great scent on its own and similar to the Mancera perfume, as well to a darker version of Halston Amber.

This does remind me of Aventus, but in the Reyane Tradition Pure vein. This smells good. I enjoy Reyane more. Noir is not dark on the top notes. It does smell fruity and beautiful at first, then darkens in the mid notes when the patchouli and birch comes forward. I am personally shocked patchouli is not voted higher among the notes. I do not love patchouli at all and it diminishes my enjoyment of Noir, but if you love patchouli you should definitely try this. I blind bought this based on my very positive experience with Ambre Noir combined with the bargain price. I like this (not love), but it smells very good and is made from top shelf ingredients. If you are even slightly interested in Noir, I recommend you buy it at present internet prices.

@adrian.meeks.35 it is a cheap classy scent. So simple. You can find it from 12 US dollars - 39 US dollars. And no, no one makes clones of a scent that itself is a clone. I love it and I'm amazed by its price/quality/performance ratio range! I'll write a review sometime..

On me, this is nothing like Aventus. I wear both to work and none of my co-workers ever confuse this for Aventus. More smoke, and a ton of amber, sweet amber.

It smells nothing like Aventus but it is really similar to Cedrat Boise. Performance is minimal as it is with nearly all of these clones.

Simply an amazing product ! Projection, longjevity and compliments. Suitable for all occasions - product is a hidden gem & a must have !

Yet another Aventus clone, which I am stacking like chord wood these days. Let's see, on the positive side it smells pretty good, is inexpensive, and has some Aventus vibes. However, performance is not great and there are several better inexpensive options. Much like all the other Aventus clones, which can smell like Aventus (1-4), none duplicate those gorgeous burnt-orange/smokey-birch accords that makes Aventus something truly special. And yes, I have nothing better to do with my time and money other than collect Aventus clones of varying quality...even though I almost always reach for Aventus over the clones. I got this expecting it to smell a lot different. It could be because I am so new with all these fragrances that I don't know the notes well enough, but I found this to smell very powdery and floral. The longevity is pretty good though as I sprayed my wrist once last night to try to decide whether I would like to keep it, and now its almost 12 hours later, and despite it being faint, I still smell it on my wrist. For me, this scent reminds me of a green apple being surrounded by dry flowers, but I don't know if I am describing it well. Based on the notes, it lists vanilla and rose, but I don't think that is the flowers that I am smelling. I am scratching my head as to what I am thinking is floral. It is definitely not a bad scent, but it just doesn't fit my personality well.

Weak projection, lasts around an hour before it turns into a skin scent. It is within the same CATEGORY as aventus, but doesn't get close unfortunately.

Noir Adnan B. Review Noir opens with a blast of citrus and pepper. It comes across quite harsh to my nose, but then quickly softens up nicely with a hint of apple. I would certainly not describe the opening as being overly fruity or bright. The mid is where this fragrance truly shines. It has a beautiful combination of smoke and patchouli. I always enjoy this portion of the fragrance during my wearings. The dry down is a combination of amber, vanilla, and musk. The amber is the star here. It has a dark and syrupy quality on my skin. I would not describe this as an Aventus clone. This has no pineapple opening. The dry down smells completely different. The mid does smell quite similar. Both Aventus and Noir nail the masculine smokiness at the heart of the fragrance. Noir is much more patchouli heavy though. I smell zero similarities with Cedrat Boise. I absolutely adore Cedrat and wear it several times a week. This does not compare in the slightest. Take this with a grain of salt though. Many of these comments vary in opinions and I differ on many of them. I'm not sure why. This is certainly a quality fragrance. That can't be denied. It smells like it should cost $200 or more. Even though it's a quality scent, it's certainly not one of my favorites. I find the dry down to be a bit off putting at times. Still, when the mood hits, this one gets the job done. I've bought this last year from a local perfume shop that I usually visit, he had a shelf for cheap products, and this was there, the bottle looked quality all over it from far, checking it the cap appeared to be clear plastic and cheap, yet the bottle was thick and heavy. The scent resembles Aventus in the smokiness in the first 5 minutes after that it turns into a smoky semi sweet scent with no fruitiness or whatever, the scent is thin, not a multi layered rich or deep, very flat and boring, and in hot weather is very very cloying and toxicating. I got one bottle as a gift over the one I bought, I gave both away to a friend of mine.
