Agua Fresca de Azahar

While on holiday in the South of Spain, during some scorching hot days, I have discovered the affordable, native to Spain, Adolfo Dominguez brand in El Corte Ingles. After a few tests, I realised that is a brand with great scents, mostly summertime appropriate, like Agua Fresca de Azahar. It’s such an refreshing and light, slightly bitter and very green, soapy, white floral scent. Basically, it’s orange, orange blossoms, neroli and some clean, white musk. It’s similar indeed to many much more expensive orange blossom/neroli/bitter orange scents on the market that last pretty much the same...Meaning three hours before needing re spraying. So I feel like I have discovered a true gem with some of Adolfo Dominguez’s fragrances. This, the rose one and the mimosa one are absolute treasures to my collection and they will forever remind me of South of Spain.... Having so many beautiful fragrances, how come nobody speaks about Adolfo Dominguez on social media??? It’s not a trending brand for some reason, but it’s so well priced and the perfumes smell so natural. Yes, I wish the fragrances would be more long lasting, but otherwise you can’t fault this brand. For warm, tropical climates, Adolfo Dominguez is a must try!

I'm more used to wear gourmand scents, which for most people are THE olfative family of comfort and coziness. However, I find agua de azahar/orange blossom and neroli fragrances very relaxing. I used to buy baby perfumes but they don't last. So happy to have found this version. Happier for my husband who bought it for me.

A smooth orange blossom fragrance with sweetness on a warm musky bed. Easy-going but passionate, totally non-soapy floral pureness, applied everyday, simple but just enough beautiful scent.

Love this relaxing citrusy scent. Smells like a luxurious hotel spa. Only wish it lasted longer.

Not a patch on the original Azahar by Dominguez, which has now sadly been discontinued. This new blend also named 'Azahar' with the addition of 'Agua Fresca' is a diluted version of the original and nowhere as classy, it's nice enough, but very ordinary, nothing special. Quite disappointing if you're expecting it to be like the sparking, fresh, sophisticated original. Shame on the perfumer, Ramon Monegal who created both the stunning original and this poor imitation. I bought it with great hopes but am unlikely to repurchase.

Love at first sight 😍 I really like this fresh laundry, clean, soapy fragrances. I think those blend well with my skin chemistry. Too bad there is no edp version.
