Bambu

Not sure why this is largely "marine" on this website. It's more watery in the aired sense. This is a calm day, all times of the year, barely-a-breeze-calm. It's utter relaxation and gentlemanly sporty. You could not pull this off if you're under 17 or 18. There's a sense of maturity in this cologne. Ultimately this is strictly a modernised green scent, and green generally means fresh, clean, mature, a little spicy, a little leathery and EARTHY. That's what this mainly is. An earthy, shower gelly green gents' scent. It is more woody than "marine". Picture a spring or summer trip to the cabin. At the door get a whiff of the mossy cabin wood yet to fully dry out. Maybe I'm close here. Just a scenic vibe for thought. Suppose you could do with this and Hot Water, they pair quite nicely because nothing else - perhaps Poker Face is slightly closer to Hot Water, yeah that's what I'm getting at actually - seems to have met the simplicity of Bambu. And finally I'll say you could get away with owning just Bambu, Hot Water & Poker Face. Before I go away you could say since they're all gentlemanly in vibe, long lost mates, they complement each other and so I can appreciate that.

This is very traditionally masculine and marine when first sprayed. Then it quickly morphs to have a distinct cotton flower note, which becomes warmer when it dries down, most likely because of the amber. The bamboo, which I love, doesn't come out until a little while after dry down. The mature scent on me is absolutely lovely, and I really like that it has fresher, marine and floral notes that provide contrast to its warmth of the amber. The balance here is beautiful. I find it has medium sillage and decently good lasting power. There's something about bamboo that is so fantastic to me, a variety of bamboo dominant fragrances can all smell amazing. This is no exception. My favorite bamboo so far is Truly Gracious, but that is way more green than this. However the bamboo in both is similar and this is definitely a warmer, slightly marine take on bamboo than Truly Gracious.

Epic Journey Into the Bottled Yonder, 083 ------------------------------------------------------- Purchased July 2019 This has that rainforest vibe of smell. Ever since Gillette, the bastards, pulled Wild Rain from production I've been wanting something similar and I found a close vibe by accident. I love this, dark green and sunny vibe. Thick woods and fresh air of wild open nature, even rural country. The best a man can get! 2024 Update: The best recent/modern deodorant based thing. Being a no brainer for a somewhat fresh, aromatic green thing it's a genius addition for somebody who dislikes classics and new releases.

I love it. What makes originalBambu so special is its ability to balance the fresh aquatic side (sea water and cotton flower), soft florals (jasmine, creamy cotton), and the warm base (amber, musk, bamboo). I think I like it so much because it sits in the sweet spot between tonic marine air and gentle skin musk, with a cotton-blossom shimmer that feels breathable yet sensual—an incredibly elusive combo in modern launches. The current version (vanilla‐cedar) loses that sea-breeze heart altogether. If you can get your hand on it, please do. Increidible.

wow this is very underrated, I can definately se the resemblance to Armani Code. Fresh, a bit powdery and versatile blue frag, could pull it off all year around day and night. Price is very affordable and I actually like the scent. easily 7/10

a nice fragrance. Aptly named. It is green, but not heavily green like new mown grass. The green notes evoke something more airy like a bamboo stalk. The amber does ground it a bit, but it keeps its lightness throughout. Unfortunately, this ephemeral quality carries over to its longevity and sillage....both are weak on my skin.

Nice fragance, Very fresh aromatic and Green first, I found some coconut there, and in the end a sweet mix of amber vanilla tobacco. Make me remeber vintage colognes but with an elegant and modern touch.

I think this smells pretty close to Armani Code, maybe a bit more powdery and a bit less sweet.

Not bad, it's all cotton flower with some rare green notes. Good for young people. Scent: 4/10 Projection: 4/10 Longevity: 5/10 Overall 4.5, maybe 5. Cheap cologne.

Very disappointing. Green notes gave away very quickly to a strongly powdery scent. Cloying and feminine. Undertones of coconut. Very little resemblance to bamboo.

not bad at all for the price. a sweet/fresh fragrance for casual use, i would rate it 6/10

Please Fragrantica, add Agua de Bambu for men, I found it yesterday :)
