Te Verde

Té Verde by Adolfo Domínguez is not, definitely, what we could call a "commercial" fragrance. I agree with "Maeva" when he / she says that "its ... green earthiness connects you more to nature than" other fragrances do. It's definitely what we look for during late Spring, Summer and early Fall. It's not an urban fragrance, in my view. It's one of those fragrances you can easily wear during your Summer holidays, at a non-glamorous but cosy, seaside-resort, if you see what I mean. After having tested it last week, I bought it yesterday and wore it for the first time today. My first impression was not entirely positive, however, as, at first "nose", I felt it as a unisex fragrance, which is not my cup of TEA!!! Fortunately, I was relieved when it evolved as an ultra feminine, almost spiritual fragrance. Bamboo and moss must help. I definitely prefer fragrances without musk among their base notes.

For me this is more a green chypre than an aromatic fragrance. As is usual with green tea scents, it's fresh and invigorating, brimming with the crispness and transparency that we feel most attracted to in the summer. It also shows that tart green acidity that we usually associate to the idea of green tea. However, the clean simplicity that we would expect in this kind of scent gets a little earthier in Te Verde than in the other green tea scents I know: Bvlgari's Eau Parfumee au The Vert, Elizabeth Arden's Green Tea, and the more synthetic Yves Rocher's Fraicheur Vegetale de The vert. Stimulating, elegant, dynamic, vital, its crisp green earthiness connects you more to nature than those other three frags.

If you like CK One, you will enjoy this as well.On my skin i can not tell the difference between the two.I suppose it is a good fragrance but I don't feel it fresh , nor clean .All i can smell is something green but so heavy it gives me nausea. When it comes to green tea I'll stick to Elizabeth Arden which is indeed fresh and invigorating.

Does it smell anything like Aroma Tonic? Please advise as Aroma Tonic is not longer available. Thanks.
