Bamboo Rose Eau de Cologne

This is one of my favorite rose perfumes in my collection. It’s the perfect natural rose IMO. I’m typically not a fan of “green” accords cause they tend to be throat-catching and too grassy for me, but here, I think it serves its purpose perfectly. The green accords here just elevate and beautify the rose notes. It feels like walking through a rose bush garden, in the early hours of a spring morning, when it’s still a bit chilly out. The flowers haven’t very bloomed and opened up to the sun, and some the morning dew is still hanging on the flower buds and falling off the leaves. The pink pepper, musk, and amber add ever so slightly to the depth of the roses here. It’s really something special. A stunning rose for the spring and summer, and got me a compliment that last time I wore it to work. Can easily be oversprayed. Fresh, light, pretty, green, and slightly aquatic. I can’t wait for it to get hot outside again so I can wear it. Again, I don’t know why this one or the Aerin Eau De Cologne collection didn’t get more attention. I feel like this an easy rose that a lot of people would love. I will keep this in my collection as long as it’s around (although, it’s a 6.8 oz bottle that I feel like will never run out).

A truly beautiful wet green scent with freshly cut roses mixed in. Reminds me of a lighter fresher version of So Pretty by Cartier. One of Aerin's best offerings that wears more like an EDT than a cologne. Found this hidden on the back bottom shelf at an outlet at 70% off the lowest price and stands as one my best blind buys ever. Thumbs way way up.

When I tested Aerin's Garden Rose last year, I was totally charmed by it: I love the idea of a classic rose scent as a light summer cologne, and I think Garden Rose executes that idea impeccably. So I was eager to test the other rose colognes from the same line as well, and I was very happy when someone sent me a sample of Bamboo Rose. The first few times I tested it, I was puzzled because I thought it smelled almost exactly the same as Garden Rose: it's a similarly true, botanical rose in a similarly light, transparent incarnation. I needed several tests, some of them side by side, to get the difference: bamboo rose is a little more solid, a little greener, and even more natural-smelling. Musk, lime and pepper bring a slightly spicy subtle freshness to the opening of this one, but Garden Rose smells more fresh than anything else to me as well. Projection is modest for both, and longevity is short unless you use a lot of it (which I did by accident today - spilling my sample all over my arm resulted in day-long soft projection: perfect, and I guess that's why you get a big bottle...). I can't decide which one I prefer, but I think it hardly matters: the difference is subtle, and they're both wonderful. I can imagine a full bottle of either one (but not both) of them somewhere in my future, to use abundantly in summer. The only question is why both exist, but they might smell less similar to other people? I'd love to test Linen Rose as well, to see how it compares - the note list looks a little more adventurous, so I imagine there might be more of a difference.

Soft, classical rose cologne with a green, watery/dewy interpretation. Very delicate but present, not too fluffy and not too dense, more like an early spring morning: translucent and fresh. In some moments it's rosier and more floral, in other moments it's a pure fresh green leaves and watery-dew cologne. In other moments still, it reminds me of peony and soft white florals. Subjective feeling: soft serenity or slow joy. Lovely. Feminine but not cliché-ish. Very well-made and fills a place that was missing in my wardrobe. Love it :D ---- As it dries it gets less fresh-green-dewy and more of a fluffy musky rose in a very classical way. It keeps being close to skin but actually lasts around 8h. I prefer the earlier greener phase but this one is pretty too, just less unusual. A strong rose offer, very nice to own and amazing during the first fresh hours.

Aerin Bamboo Rose Eau de Cologne It is one of the new three scents of Rose Collection by Aerin Lauder’s house of perfume. I first select the Bamboo Rose because it is only one of the 3 items which is the green rose fragrance that I always feel fascinated. To me, when I compared 2 notes between green and rose after I sprayed on my skin, I found the green note is more prominent and the rose is rather subtle. Sometimes, I think it is approximate to Fleur de The Rose Bulgare by Creed that I had. But the Aerin perfume is fresher and leafier, while the Creed perfume is sweeter. In sum, it is a beautiful rose-perfume, moderate sillage and longevity. Its price is reasonable for 200ml. and the quality of scent.

Agreed with jeca that it's not an intense rose. Green and refreshing and not too rosy, which I happen to like at the moment. The longevity is pretty good for an Eau de Cologne; it's almost the same as some of Aerin EDPs like Waterlily Sun and Mediterranean Honeysuckle. Once I sprayed Bamboo Rose (EDC) on one arm and Rose de Grasse (Parfum) on the other. Rose de Grasse has better sillage and longevity, but not by as much as it should! My sample says Parfum Spray Atomiseur, which is supposed to be one level above EDP, but who knows. Next on my list to test are Garden Rose and Linen Rose.

This rose cologne (I simly love how it sounds!) is green and wet, refreshing rose, very tender. I like more intense rose, this one is a little too shy for me.

I like this better than Aerin linen rose. Having said that, I was hoping to get more than rose water scent. I wished it was a bit more complex. It is straight up rose. Pleasant enough.
