Ikat Jasmine

I never gave Estée's daughter a fighting chance in giving her fragances a go. I first thought "this is probably going to be a concentrated version of "Modern Muse" with a somewhat higher pricetag along with the rest of Aerin's line." I was wrong. I am totally impressed by her whole collection. Not only is her company fresh and bright but I think her business aspect is going to go pretty well above Jonathan Adler's aspect. I think we should support more American brands who have great ideas and creativity as much as their European counterparts. Upon seeing her line at Barney's I immediately noticed the beautiful bottles. You can't miss those stone caps. Those caps reminded me of Giorgio Armani Privé's couture perfume line. I hope that wasn't intentional on her behalf. I smelled a lot of her scents and really liked where she was going with them. Ikat Jasmine for whatever reason stuck out the most for me. There is a dense lightness to it (if that oxymoron makes any sense). It is large bouquet but is lightweight that it brushes your skin like a biased cut silk dress. The florals are just divine. Jasmine sambac, Honeysuckle, tuberose, Egyptian cotton (that add's a little powdery accent to the fragrance). I requested a decant for this and gave it to my mother for her to try it and she was in love. Something of this scent reminds me of her growing up in the 90s. She had a fragrance that was very similar to this in the summer. There is an aquatic feeling with this scent. This of course a day fragrance but you can cheat a little and stretch it out to 7pm on a summer evening. Then layer it with "Tuberose Le Soir". And that is another wonderful thing about Aerin, you can layer these fragrances. Aerin managed to create "separates" with fragrances (the same way Donna Karan created "7 easy pieces" with fashion in the 80s). This fragrance has a big bright projection. Easily can be worn in the office, but I don't want to smell it in the office. I think it's much more elegant for florescent lighting--it cheapens the brand. This is casual and breezy. It should be worn with jeans and a white shirt. Not to say this is overly casual, this is also a lunch fragrance--so don't forget your shift dress. Sillage is very close to the skin. Can be a bit intimate. I am very excited for the future of Aerin Lauder. I think she has big opportunities ahead.

When I first tried this in the summer of 2022, I wasn’t sure what to think of it. I know what jasmine smells like as I grew it in the summer. I also love jasmine tea. But being perfume illiterate, I was hoping to get more of a soliflore jasmine note, but I see that tuberose is in the mix. When I first bought this, I had no idea what tuberose is. I still have only a vague understanding of what tuberose smells like even though I now own three different interpretations of it. So, my first impression, Ikat Jasmine was just an ok scent for me. But over time, I have come to like it and understand different notes a bit more. I think I might love iIkat more layering with something citrusy. EL/AL suggest layering with Mediterranean honeysuckle. Might be worth a try since MH includes bergamot and grapefruit notes. On a side note. tuberose perfumes I really like are Tuberose Le Soir and Le Jour from Aerin. Ikat Jasmine is well-formulated. Update: 07/30/2023. I sprayed a few more times since my initial purchase last year. And I like it so much now. I think I was unfairly expecting a soliflore. Ikat still is a dominant jasmine perfume with very clean white floral notes ever softly in the background without any stem greenness. Very elegant and pretty. Love now. 🥰 Bravo, Aerin Lauder.

Ikat Jasmine is a light white floral with moderate-low projection. The notes don’t suggest it but I swear I smell a lot of bergamot in the opening. The bergamot note here is sweet and vibrant at the same time. I’ve sprayed this on my recently washed wrist three times before bedtime. When I woke up it was still significantly there on my skin. It is by far the longest lasting Aerin perfume I’ve ever tried. I didn’t get the honeysuckle or the tuberose. However, the dry down is sweet and powdery with sandalwood and jasmine in the base notes. Compared to a rich and narcotic jasmine such as Lush Lust, it is much more friendly and demure. Compared to a more modern jasmine such as Estee Lauder Modern Muse or Thierry Mugler Alien EDP, it is much more natural, bright, and joyful. While it may lack the opulence or the complexity of greater jasmine fragrances such as Creed Jasmin Imperatrice Eugenie, it is still a feminine and beautiful rendition of this flower. It actually reminds me a lot of Guerlain Terracotta Le Parfum without the copious tiare & vanilla that dominates the Guerlain composition. For those of you who are looking for a fresh, soft, everyday or a sort of “introductory” jasmine fragrance, this may be a good one to try. I recommend it for all seasons.

This isn't your normal dominant jasmin scent. To me it's more a vanilla tuberose profile with a woody undertone, the honey suckle sweetens it nicely and I believe the ambroxan in the base makes it clean and addictive. I sure do smell Jasmine but it's so beautiful layered with tuberose and sandalwood that it becomes entirely creamy and full bodied. It's sweet and beautiful in a very gorgeous natural and creamy way. It's stunning as a matter of fact and I need this tomorrow. High quality , very beautiful. Some reviews here said they like the clean drydown. I am at that stage now and "wow " it's great. It becomes like a Nivea smell. Creamy and clean. It must be the notes combined with the ambroxan !? I am impressed. To me it has a warm vanilla quality. It very long lasting. Longest out of her line. In love !

Ikat Jasmine by Aerin Lauder is giving me glamour girl vibes! Jasmine can sometimes be quite screechy but Ikat Jasmine is giving this potent princess a whole new note to sing and it’s lovely! It smells very clean and is mellowed out but the honeysuckle which is another floral Aerin Lauder does well in my opinion. The tuberose is being it’s creamy white floral self. I do not pick up on the sandalwood or ambroxan but that’s okay, I’m sure they are there somewhere playing supporting act. I smelled this on a whim expecting not to like it and was very surprised when I really did. I sprayed in on my arm as I left the store and 6 hours later I ordered a bottle, it’s fabulous!

Jasmine was an early love for me- my first experience was Jovan Night-Blooming Jasmine- it was my go-to college scent- Of late, though, most of the jasmines I've encountered have been way too animalic, (Serge Lutens A La Nuit) or they smelled like room spray- (Lush Lust ) or worse yet, bathroom room spray- (Pacifica Tunisian Jasmine, Al-Rehab Jasmine) I'm pleased to say that Ikat Jasmine is none of the above- it is a soft yet long-lasting jasmine skin scent, as comfortable as that shirt that you always reach for first in the closet- I love it! My god is this stunning. I saw gillian anderson wearing this and i immediately went to smell it. Wew! It’s so natural smelling. It’s like walking through the meadows and having the wind sweeping across you. And you can just smell the freshly bloomed flowers. Usually i get bored of florals real quick, but i don’t think i’ll get over this one. The longevity and sillage is not bad as well. The bottle itself is a work of art. So dainty and cute 😂 i also think that the price is ok! Edit: i just realized that this smells kinda similar to olene from diptyque!

As someone who has a weak spot for white florals, I WOULD HAVE said 'Move over, Gucci Bloom'. I mean come on, tuberose, jasmine, freshly cut flower stems and FRESH linen. The combination is simply wonderful! Sadly, I find it such an offense that it has terrible longevity. Fresh and light combination of white florals-- anybody who has a weak spot for such fragrance will be swept off their feet-- and then be disappointed by the shortlived experience. It's an insult to call it EDP, this has the staying power of a cologne, or an EDT at most.

This perfume smells of clean linen hung out on a summer's day at the beach, with jasmine trees nearby with their scent wafting luxuriantly through the air. I can smell a touch of salt here too, eventhough that isn't listed in the notes on this page. I get a touch of ambroxan at the end, too. It doesn't dominate it though and it just brings down the sweetness a touch. That's probably where I'm getting the beach vibes from. I could imagine a woman in white linen going to a beach party wearing this perfume. It's so easy and breezy!

This is quickly turning into my go to scent this spring! I find myself reaching for it frequently the past few weeks. It is light, fresh, and delicate, and the jasmine manages to be both crisp and creamy at the same time. But... the longevity on my skin is an issue. It's an issue I have with all of Aerin's perfumes. They are EDPs that perform more like EDTs. This one seems to linger a bit longer than the other two I own, but I do have to reapply every 3 to 4 hours. I don't mind terribly - it's really very beautiful.

A very pretty jasmine - it's not heavy, cloying or animalic. I love all things jasmine, so this was a must for me, great for spring and summer and best for daytime (in my opinion, I don't think it's strong or interesting enough for a night out). This gives me imagines of a beautiful woman in a pretty white sundress, she has an elegance to her that seems to be extremely rare nowadays. And while I might not be that put-together, I'll still enjoy wearing this in the warmer months.

A gorgeous, special jasmin fragrance. I love this! it smells very similar to j'adore. It is absolutely stunning. I love wearing this before going to bed. But it smells just soo lovely, that I don't wear this when I go outside. I can't find the perfect occasion to wear it. It smells like a honeymoon or wedding night. It needs a special and intimate occasion to me. I love this. The most beautiful jasmin I have ever smelled.

This is a radiant jasmine blend accentuated with honeysuckle and tuberose. There's nothing beachy, heavy, or dirty here. It's light, airy, and refined, and so bright, it's almost solar. Smells beautiful right now, but I think would be fantastic in the summer, preferably while wearing a white gauzy sundress, strappy sandals, and a big straw hat. It's very appealing to me in an elegant, ladylike way that I just love.

I spritzed this while at the mall yesterday. Since wearing Calvin Klein's Beauty, I have realized that I really love the smell of jasmine. This perfume is gorgeous on, this is definitely worth exploring further. I sampled a number of perfumes yesterday and this had one of the best dry downs with my chemistry. I really loved this one. Very nice - particularly after this wears awhile and blends with the chemistry.

Ultimate creamy, predominantly jasmine (sambac) with tuberose and honeysuckle following behind, an all-year-round kind of scent. Everything is in balance. Not too indolic, not too refined. Soapy but even that stays subtle. The creamy and smooth nature of it projects that full, lush white floral bouquet feeling in every way. Light and has depth, smells like the real flower and intoxicating on skin. This smells like a picnic in a secluded clearing, in the late morning after a night of rain. If a woman wore this I would probably swoon. I don't like florals on myself but I will make an exception for this one.

Gorgeous, fresh, natural-smelling, perfect jasmine. No indoles, nothing weird, just the right amount of sweetness, superb quality. Perfumers don't always have to reinvent the wheel. Sometimes it's a wonderful thing to take something simple and do it perfectly. This is sublime. 10/10.

I'm an oriental girl at first whiff... but this Jasmine is so unlike what I typically think off when I think Jasmine... it's simply clean and beautiful... a very pure scent in a gorgeous bottle headed by a woman who is really making a style mark. Love it!!!

This is one of my favorite perfumes. I can wear it year-round and never tire of it. It's a heavenly jasmine scent. <3 Additionally, the purse spray was only about $30 US when I purchased it last. Sadly, I need to replenish again.

This is my signature. Simplicity done perfectly. Aerin Ikat Jasmine is a clean, polished white floral. I adore white florals but dislike anything too sweet or cloying. This is perfection to me, it feels luxurious and elegant.

Good choice for someone who loves floral scents. It's beyond floral though, it's much more interesting. It does lack a bit of sweetness, but even despite that I'll still make it one of my regulars. Beautiful, unique floral!

Definitely deserves the high price tag. Light, fresh, soft & airy white floral in the prettiest bottle. Very feminine & classy yet young. It's quite sweet because of honeysuckle. Works so well with my skin chemistry.

Beautiful, fresh aquatic jasmine and tuberose. First spray you get mostly jasmine, tuberose joins a little later. Very realistic, like straight from the bush. Simple, but so nice. Love it!

when i first smelled this perfume i actually swooned. i am a sucker for tuberose and haven't smelled anything this good since creed fleurissimo.

I'm not experienced enough with perfumes to be able to say much about the jasmine and tuberose in this fragrance--I can't pick them out separately or describe their character. I can, however, pick out the honeysuckle because it was so prevalent around my childhood home and schools. The base is much more familiar to me; I put this perfume on at bedtime, and when I woke up, I wondered if I had worn Glossier You and forgotten about it, because it seemed similar. That must be the ambroxan. Overall, this fragrance comes across as old-ladyish to me, but in a classy way. I saw an earlier review saying they recommended this perfume for older women like 25 and up, which made me laugh. I think of a woman in her 50s and up, especially at the older end of the range. I don't mean it in a bad way: it's a pretty perfume and comes across as very sophisticated. It would suit professional or formal occasions and is unlikely to offend others. I can imagine this being worn at a daytime party, a tea, an auction, a museum. I agree with others that the sillage is poor. I only received a sample of this by surprise, it's not me, and I wouldn't buy it due to the child labor concerns. Update: I stand by everything I said initially, but when I tried it again...I found I like it lol. It is clean, soapy, fresh--good for when I want to seem like a normal, mature, capable functioning member of society. I'm thinking of buying it secondhand.

Aerin is a brand by Aerin Lauder, yep, the family of Estee Lauder and that's one of the reason why I am interested to this perfume. Ikat jasmine by Aerin has a jasmine-tuberose combo like Gucci Bloom, but this one has an extra honeysuckle, sandalwood, and ambroxan which make this perfume smell like a warm summer/spring day in a suburb. It’s white flowers but a little green and heavy, definitely a mature day perfume but seasonless. I can picture young-adult walking to a local minimarket in a bright sunny day with flower in hand and it also smell like summer in film photo. It’s a little less fit for night perfume, except you’re on vacation mood- like night dinner in Bali. Also that bottle and golden liquid made it look expensive. Oh, I remember that Twice's Mina also use this perfume and if you're still wondering what is the characteristic that uses this perfume, check her out.

When I first sprayed this I thought holy tuberose! It smelled almost like a tuberose soliflore. But after it went along I got this very bright sunny lemony jasmine with honeysuckle. And it started to smell more like the Aerin Honeysuckle fragrance but with added tuberose. Personally I like this a lot more. The tuberose gives this crisp fragrance a creamy aspect that really makes it much more inviting. Much more sensual without being overly seductive. This would be an excellent wedding fragrance or a casual garden party fragrance. Bridal shower, etc... extremely tailored, crisp, bright but still soft and creamy. Very in line with the colors it represents. Bright cobalt blue and white. I don't even notice the ambroxan in the base. The florals are so prominent. Unlike with Amber Musk which is an ambroxen bomb and is the only Aerin offering I do not like.

This is a lovely fragrance that I just received as a gift from my husband, because he smelled it on someone else and was wild about it. Unfortunately, it has absolutely terrible longevity - my cheapie Britney Spears and Jennifer Aniston fragrances last WAY longer than this. Within an hour, I can only smell it by actually putting my nose on my wrist, and within 2 hours it's gone. I can't believe how briefly this lasts for such an exorbitantly priced perfume. Very similar to Jo Malone's high price tag and poor longevity - just really crappy value for your money. My husband loves it, though, and I don't want to hurt his feelings by telling him he spent so much on such weak juice, so I just keep spritzing every couple hours to keep him happy.

I hated this at first. I like my jasmines filthy and nocturnal, rich with indoles that weave lingering trails. This is none of that, so it took me some time to figure her out. There is nothing tawdry here, no cheap nail polish or tendrils of sex and smoke. In Ikat, the jasmine is bright white and virginal, scrubbed clean of sin. She stays close to your skin, exudes class and breeding. The bright white of a summer day is too much, I think, makes this fragrance blinding and tooth-achingly sweet, but on a late winter/early spring morning? This is morning vespers and dreamy soft flowers of candy. Layered with neroli, this is what I imagine heaven must smell like...

Perfectly reasonable jasmine, powdery, pleasant and it lasts enough for all day wear - it’s not weak. However - I’ve been spoilt by Lutens’ A La Nuit, which I smelled first, and which to me is the Queen of all Jasmines. That’s more green, where this is more powdery, so it’s a matter of individual preference. As for honeysuckle, I couldn’t really detect any in this - there’s no such thing as honeysuckle absolute, so whatever interpretation Aerin has made of it, didn’t register. This is one of the better Aerin scents though, and though it could be seen as old-fashioned, I enjoyed wearing it today. For me, 6/10 :)

Its a very fresh and naturalistic combination of honeysuckle and jasmine. Nothing too complicated going on here which is sometimes just right. Just enough sweetness in the background to keep it flower like but not so much as to make it overpowering or cloying. Warm weather scent only, perfect for summer. Packing mine away for next summer, sigh. This could potentially be a great scent to layer with something completely different, to add in a light jasmine/honeysuckle impression. It reminds me of old an Yves Rocher Chevrefeuille I had as a 13 year old back in the 80s ;).

A very fresh and light blend of jasmine and tuberose. On a careful sniff, I concede that honeysuckle is somewhere in the blend too. And that is already more that what’s in the Mediterranean Honeysuckle which to me is plain citrus notes blend. Lol. Anyway this is very lovely. Afraid to say feminine but it’s that. But I still don’t mind using it. Strong silage. Longevity should be long lasting or more from my previous dealings with Aerin’s perfumes. (Confirmed at 9 hrs) A strong like from me on this one. I love my floral perfumes powdery and this, unfortunately, isn’t.

While this is a very, very pretty fragrance, it is disappointing in the longevity and sillage departments. I don't think this is an overt jasmine, as it also smells like it could be several of the other dominant white flower notes such as tuberose, magnolia, and even gardenia. It is very well formulated in the sense that whatever note/notes actually come across, do so in a genuine manner. I think this would work better combined with another more potent fragrance, or just as a pick-me-up quick spritz, but I do feel its poor value considering the lack of longevity.

Very pretty and lightweight true jasmine. Not indolic, not heady, it maintains a pretty sweet profile from the honeysuckle and tuberose. Just the slightest touch of woodiness. I picked up on a similarity to Citron 28 by Le Labo. Normally I'm not a huge fan of jasmine-forward scents, but this one is a lot more approachable. At the end of the day though, Estee Lauder is a morally corrupt company and I will not be giving my $$ to them !! A friend gave me this discovery set so I had to give my two cents/scents haha.

Straight off this reminds me of my late grandmother. She was always well dressed and smelled expensive with jasmine and tuberose her favourite flowers. Ikat Jasmine is modern, beautifully well rounded and classy. It is such a pretty white floral that can be a powerhouse if over sprayed. It has a slight soapyness but I think that’s the creamy tuberose. It makes me feel happy and carefree. This is my third Aerin fragrance I own and I’m excited to test her others. It is fast becoming one of my favourite houses!

I love all things jasmine and blind bought this a few months ago - it's pretty linear, quite a clean, pretty floral jasmine. It's great for spring and summer and I find the lasting power not impressive - maybe 4 hours on me (but my skin eats perfume so take that as you will). Overall, I really do like this and will use up my bottle - not yet sure if I'll repurchase, but I might to have a nice white floral for the hotter months.

This is a lovely jasmine, with a soft trail of tuberose underlying what mostly seems to be a soliflore. This would be an absolutely lovely scent for a bride, wearing a classic wedding gown - no frills, no lace, just silk and flattering lines. This is probably the only Aerin I would buy a full bottle of to enjoy the cleanliness of this seeming soliflore. Very pretty!

Opening was a strong blast of jasmine and tuberose. It is a very bright opening. The middle and dry down are very floral but exceptionally pretty. I am not a strong floral lover unless there is a creaminess to it. So, this one is not for me. However, it was a very well done jasmine fragrance. It would be great for someone who is seeking this sort of thing.

Very elegant and classy jasmine, at the first sample very close to Dreams Coach ,Gentle, jasmine, it's like being in a jasmine bush. I love the entire Aerin line. It's clean fresh and almost pure. This has very strong jasmine top notes. I'm not a huge jasmine fan but I still enjoy this scent. I appreciate the fact that this like the others are a friendly natural fragrance. Nothing cheap, artificial nor offensive to anyone around you. Beautiful spring and summer scent.

I tried the scented lotion this afternoon, it was a nice lotion, and well scented. The scent itself is pleasant but slightly high pitched. I suppose that's what "clean" jasmine might mean. Spend for what you get - would like to receive as a gift but would be disappointed if i bought it myself @ $57....

This is the most accurate jasmine I've found. And I have evidence based on the jasmine growing on my neighbors house. It's fresh and intense, like the real thing. Honeysuckle? Not so much. Honeysuckle, as in that found in the south, is far sweeter. I continue to be impressed by aerin lauder.

This is the better Jasmine perfume compared to l'interdit. The quality of this fragrance is pronounced. There are some jasmine trees here where I go for my morning runs and this is the same jasmine flower smell. It's beautiful but unfortunately doesn't last long, not worth the price tag.

This is such a lovely fragrance. It’s clean and sophisticated. The jasmine in here is just beautiful, and so well blended with the other notes. I reach for this whenever I want to add to that extra something for a more dressed up outfit. Well done Aerin lauder - it’s worth every penny.

nice, simple photorealistic jasmine; i especially appreciate how delicate and fresh it feels. bought a travel size years ago when i learned mina from twice uses it, and i think it really fits her image. shame about the child labor though; will not be repurchasing

Now l have never been into white flowers scents,unless it is floral aldehyde fragrance. But this is stunning. Yasmine can be sickly and boring and overdone. This is very pleasant,just spicy enough. Love it
