Hypaer

Hypaer is the best smelling scent of Aether's new collection with the loudest opening but calms down quickly. Pleasant, "almost there", green-musky, with great versatility. Dominant notes are musk, green notes and cashmeran with a faint woody vibe at the background. At the late drydown I get a vibe similar to iso E super but it's not exactly this ingredient. Very synthetic new smell for me but smooth and pleasant. Sillage is soft, projection is soft and vanishes after about 2 hours. The longevity is low-moderate. If it was stronger it would worth a fb IMO. Anyway I'll try it again with more sprays. I like the green musk that it has. It retails here 184 usd.

Coming back to it, I realise it's quite synthetic – although in a very nice manner. I get this dry, synthetic-woody feeling, which sounds very boring, but it is supported by a lot of green notes that makes it interesting. I would however call this a woody composition with green support, rather than the other way around. It makes me think of the bark of the pear-tree. Woody, dry, and somewhat cosy actually. It's good. If you don't like the idea of synthethic wood, don't bother. However, if you're open to a woody synthetic that is a bit on the unusual side, this might be an interesting option to try.

On a sandy beach, a moldy pear tree hits me in the head and it takes about an hour to recover. Addictive.

Ambrette bomb gives an otherworldly fruit in the opening, with a tropical jackfruit-like scent but pear-like texture. Quickly develops into the cashmeran heavy base, with that familiar sweet fuzzy fibrous composition. Interesting and has character, but somewhat skeletal and doesn't cross the line sufficiently to become enjoyable.

Smells like a fresh cut lawn on me. Not a fan.

Starts out with a smell very close to a newly cut lawn, moves over quite quickly to a green sweeter smell which is made out of a mix of green citrusy notes combined with a faint musky sweetness and calm a smell comparable to crushed birch leaves. Sillage is very very low, barely ever moving far off from the skin. It doesn't last long. I can only agree with Graf that it would be worth a full bottle if it was stronger. I'm used to heavy perfumes that project an arms length and more, so for me this becomes a very silent scent. Overall rating 6/10 due to performance whilst the smell itself is a 9/10.

This was a green-peppery synth scent that reminded me of a few Nasomatto scents. Woody-musky, fragrant-green, I didn't really like it. My least fave from the line, so far. A few of the ingredients seem to be either too potent or in the wrong proportions...
