Historic Doria

Finally, my HD has arrived! From the initial spray, I could get some white floral, fruity notes that add a feminine touch to it. But I find the dry down too heavy for ambroxan or musk, which makes it smell funky for me. Though its definitely giving some BR540 vibes to it! I don't know, this is my first impression, I'd macerate it for a month or 2, then check it again. But so far, I'm starting to regret buying it instead of going for a more feminine option instead (Modest Deux). 😞 Fast forward: 5 months later after maceration, it mellowed down to a musky, fruity, clean scent which I'm starting to like. And it has great longevity.

I’ll defend her to the hilt. She’s a powerful raspberry, Ambroxen amber bomb. She lingers, and enters the room LONG before you and stays way past her welcome.?Do not buy this expecting a BR540 clone. She is not that girl. She is her rich, outspoken Aunty who will always be the center of attention. The one you either love or hate. Very little in between. Not a safe blind buy. The dry down on clothing is price and last for days. I’m forever a fan. Only thing I can compare to is Be Enchanted by Bath & Body Works, but on a x10 strength.

Beast-mode Thomas Kosmala No. 4 Alternative. Longevity and Projection - 10/10. Amped-up white florals - Jasmine and Tuberose + Raspberry in the opening give it a little bit of a twist. Otherwise does almost exactly the same. Good buy for the price. - Smelly Cat on YouTube

For me this has the vibes of My way from Armani. This is not even close to BR Rouge. I can see some resemblances but this is a perfume that has a lot of orange blossom and Jasmine. There is something sweet and also sticky in a way. I like it.

my way/so scandal with bcr vibe. Sweet, flowery, burnt sugar. Bandages only slightly. Not suffocating, light, but not weak. Very nice. date of production - 08.2023. I will leave it 4few weeks to macerate.

It’s almost like this perfume is the child of So scandal/BR540/and Oriana. It’s very nice and not super floral.

This is a feminine leaning but still unisex fragrance with a cotton candy burst and a berries at the top. This carries on and you get more of that br540 dna come out as it dries down. Very pleasent and has more body than br540. Pretty clean, very sweet and can be worn throughout the year although probably dont wear it when its scorching hot it can get a little cloying. Longevity - 6-7 hours ill say by the seven hour mark i met a friend and asked him to smell it cause i thought i went noseblind due to the ambroxan but even he said the stuff was very faint by then. Was hyped cause i saw a youtuber saying it lasts 12+ hours but definitely nowhere near that strong. So ill say moderate to slightly above average. Projection - 1.5 - 2 hours heavy projection the stuff gets you noticed and leaves a heavy trail before it settles down. Versatility - 7/10 relatively versatile and a man can pull it off as long as you think a man can pull off br540 Uniqueness - 6/10 the berries give it something different and it has some nice florals too

Take the raspberry-tuberose/white floral combo of JPG 'So Scandal' and infuse it with Apres L'Amour / BR540 Extrait. I honestly would have never imagined these two scent profiles would blend into an olfactory symphony (lol) but here we are. I 100% agree with the 'My Way' comparisons, but 'Historic Doria' is akin to 'So Scandal' - which is in the same scent family just far sweeter / less fresh. 'Historic Doria' however, is brighter and lighter (not in performance) than Apres L'Amour & So Scandal. I agree with the reviewer below, this isn't a warm fragrance thanks to the ambroxan / musky notes. Truly is a crisp, crystal clear morning in a mandarin fruit orchard. This is by no means a super unique perfume but can still rival mainstream niche in the West. The reason I love it is because it's got enough sophistication, masculine oompf and brightness to it... I find myself reaching for this time & time again...recommended.

I got the Doria yesterday and I've tried it! It does have the BR540 DNA but not the same. I get why people would say its similar though! Parfumului35 is right, this has the My Way vibes. I can definitely smell the raspberry and the lemon. Its a bit tutty-frutty / jelly ace sort of smell. I think the sillage and projection of this would be a beast as I can smell it even if I sprayed it to my chest and i'm wearing two layers of clothes (shirt and an over shirt). I'm currently 20 minutes in and I've yet to smell the other notes, but then again the middle notes have mandarin orange so this will end up being a citrus / floral fragrance. The ambroxan and the woody/musky notes would give it body. If im being 'poetic' i would compare this smell to a cold morning in a fruit orchard. There's frost in the grass but its slowly melting. i'm barefoot and can smell the sweetness of the fruits in the orchard.

IDK if it smells like some other parfums, but in it's particular way, I love this small pink Doric column, even if it has that sintetic smell. Sweet, fruity, Definitely synthetic a nothing pleasant smell, it reminds me quite a lot of the smell of some plastic products. ***************************************************************** EDIT: Repelent!! smell like fuel or any petroleum-derived product x.x my poor nose got anihillated in the process of give it one last chance and still failed :x a big and clear NO for me, sold it to someone who liked it for mere collection.

Mine has been macerating for about 4 months now. She smells heavy on the musk and ambroxan. I do get a BCR's little sister vibe. I don't smell the fruit, I wish I did because raspberry and lemon zest??? Yes, please - I love the thought. I get some burnt sugar, as others have mentioned. She is light enough that I think HD will be great in any season. I resprayed a couple hours later and do get some fruits. I didn't clear the atomizer before spraying. Maybe after some more months of maceration, she will bloom a little more.

To me it's an clone of Erba Pura for the fruity musky ambroxan, then the fruitniess of So Scandal by JPG Good but too sickly sweet for me

def baccarat vibes but more dense and sweet to me go easy on this cause i made someone have a coughing fit 💀

everyone in the industry has to copy 2 fragrances, aventus & br540 otherwise their catalogue wont be complete. this is afnans version of br540 with an added dose of musk and ambroxan, which gives this a surf detergent kindda feel in the openin but hell does it last. it been more than 24 hours and i can still detect if heavily on my sweater. seems like i will have to wash it to get it off the article

This perfume is a beast. Don’t need more than 3 sprays or you’ll suffocate everyone around you. I was looking for something similar to Thomas Kosmala No.4, but for me this wasn’t it. The jasmine was too much and headache inducing so i had to get rid of it. I gave it a chance and let it macerate for a year, but it still just didn’t work for me.

If TK4 is BR540 on steroids, this is TK4 gone nuclear. One spray is all it takes and that is coming from an oversprayer! It’s sweet and ambery to the nth power. I’ve had a bottle of this for over 2 years I have only used it about 4 times it’s just too much. I can’t let it go, though, coz the bottle is just so gorgeous.

This is a sweet floral with warmth and nutty notes. I will not keep this one in my collection. Question for perfume connoisseurs: Does this one smells similar to Amouage Guidance? I think I smelled that one once before and for some reason this one makes me think of it.

This lasts so long, it's almost frightening since it practically won't come off (technically impressive). I just wish it was a bit more palatable as the raspberry & ambroxan combo is pretty in your face the whole time.

This is so overwhelming at first spray. Heavy musk, ambroxan its a little cloying to be honest. It's giving a similar smell to Electric Soul by Who is Elijah its very salt and vinegary? They both have musky, wood, jasmin and raspberry notes. All notes seem to be fighting for the spotlight except the raspberry. It does ease up after dry down and i can actually pick up the rasberry. Still its a no for me unfortunately. My daughter likes it though she says it's like Persil washing liquid but fruity...?

Smells like armpits. I want to love the perfume due to the bottle being absolutely gorgeous. Lasts forever, unfortunately.
