Historic Olmeda

Wonderful classy blue deep and rich. Much better than Dylan Blue scent and performance. Better performance than Bleu De Chanel I think but I've only tested Bleu. I won't say this smells better than Chanel but not worse either and its equal in class. I'm just treating myself to the Olmeda a little since I just got it and I want to let it reach full potency usually takes 2 weeks to a month and a half. But already it's quite good especially for an upscale bleu. I think most of the notes have been mentioned and are accurate to the list. One thing I do want to say is that there absolutely is plenty of incense despite what I read in other reviews. But it is unlit incense-this fragrance isn't really smoky although it is mysterious and nocturnal and rich and beautiful. Now that the price has gone down on the Historic Olmeda I just couldn't imagine paying for BDC or especially DB. I love Versace but Dylan Blue all but vanishes after 20 minutes. Now if you are rich and can grab a few bottles of various Chanel without any buyers remorse hey I get it. I would too if I could.

I like it honestly . Got it from a dealer for 50$ .Just for the bottle and presentation at this price point , you should buy it. Very good . I mostly get Juniper and grapefruit and bergamot. Also at the end patchouli and musk. This is honestly not lasting much for me. It's like 40 degree Celsius here. It projects for bout 1 hour or so for me. And stays close to my skin with few whiffs for 4 hours or so. I expected better performance. This is pleasing and soothing scent. I have used like 15 times and give it some time to macerate. It;ll definitely improve . Let's see. Will update soon.

I was initially worried that this wouldn't live up to the hype listed by fragrances this is similar to as BDC and Dylan blue are both summer bangers, but upon first whiff, I was very happy with the scent profile. The top notes of the fragrances are blended very well, where the juniper, jasmine, and bergamot take center stage with a nice woodiness in the background. Overall I would rate this a 9.5/10 and would pick this up over BDC and DB simply because it smells like the best of both and lasts as long as BDC with very nice projection.

Strong grapefruit and juniper opening but quite balanced opening. Kinda similar to Turanti Blue under same brand. It does have similarities to Bleu de chanel edp but no incense and fresher. The opening doesn't last very long and the heart notes comes fast with a more pronounced nutmeg. Smells pretty good itself for a blue budget scent. Bottle presentation is pretty nice. Sprayer is good too. Price is excellent for such a scent. Many young adults would love this.

I really enjoy this scent. I don't get much of a resemblance to Bleu de Chanel (I have all 3), but, that's not an issue because I don't enjoy BdC very much. This is in the same family (blue scent) as BdC, Sauvage and Versace Dylan Blue. This is a blue scent with a dark character. The sharpness of it reminds me of the smell of old dusty books and papyrus scrolls, and I absolutely love it. Probably my favorite blue scent. Try a sample first.

Another Afnan superstar. The historic series are all superstars. This one is super fresh and rich, it smells like the best of blue fragrances together getting deep. Mix sauvage and blue de chanel and versache and you get this. Absolutely great scent. If you want to smell fresh and clean but also rich and interesting for what like 35 euro then I can recommend this to everybody.

It has some Dylan blue vibe but with some twist. And maybe the twist is a little bit too far that it doesn't really that special anymore. It's still a good fragrance because it is mass appealing like typical blue fragrance, but it really lacks of unique-ness. I'm okay with it, but probably gonna choose other when there's an option

This is so good! If you consider the price with it, this is an absolute steal, I get 10-12 hours of longevity and a good sillage. Among the blue fragrances that I owe it is my second favorite. But you have to like blue fragrances like blue de Chanel and Dylan blue in order to like this one.

Yes, this is BDC EDP clone with so much more inside. Especially in the opening, youll get more of Sauvage EDP or Dylan blue, but after 10 minutes it dries into Bleu de chane with a small twist. Great longetivity, considering that newer batches of BDC are very weak, this one is a steal!

Took a test spray of it lasted on my wrist over night. For some reason Iam really addicted to the smell however it does not have alot of sillage. Still cant stop sniffing my wrist 10/10 smell 6/10 performance

This fragrance is a like a cross between BDC and Dior Sauvage. It smells great, and I love the reactions I get when I wear this. It has been one of my better clone pickups in 2025.

I second what Vitaminko said. For the $38 bucks I paid, for parfum concentration, and for how good it smells, it is deal city all day.

Just the most basic dumb reach fragrance. You cant go wrong with this. Good price. Redundant to buy the original.

My girlfriend (who hates fragrances) loved this one. I also got surprising longevity on skin of 7 hours.

all i can say is WOW. I do not expect this from a middle eastern house, especially considering a price. My experience with middle eastern fragrances has always been quite bad, they're usually very harsh at the opening, but this? No, not at all. This is very smooth, well-made, outstanding. Now, i'm basing this of first impression because I just got this, so no information on the longevity yet, however I do get anosmic pretty quickly but I know that's just because of how potent it is. On paper, this is very bleu de chanel like. Juniper berry, with pink pepper, and grapefruit makes this very fresh, very uplifting, spicy and sweet. The cardamom in the opening makes it well-rounded, giving it a more balsamic tone to it, camphorous if you will, and a little bit minty even without mint in it, very good combination. It is like bleu de chanel eau de parfum concentration. On my skin, it's a bit different. It's not as fresh and uplifting but because my skin tends to make fragrances a bit more solid and heavy, it makes this very spicy and sweet rather than bright and thin. However, I'm not complaining this still smells really good. The presentation is nice, the bottle really explains how the scent smells like on my skin. A navy colour on a greek column. It shows that even if it is a blue fragrance, it's a very deep and sophisticated one. A "dark blue" fragrance if you will. That makes this very versatile, it's very easy to wear, it can even be a dumb reach, and a very good one. I'm not really a fan of blue fragrances because everybody wears this kind of DNA, I definitely have smelt this before, kinda? It definitely reminds me of a few fragrances but definitely different. That being said, it is not unique to the laymen's nose. People with low knowledge of perfumery will think this is just bleu de chanel or dylan blue or any other blue fragrances, but hey, it's still a very nice scent.

This is a thicker, more full version of Bleu De Chanel EDP but it mixes in many more blue fragrances into the scent especially in the opening. A little bit of the spicy pink pepper reminds me of sauvage for a rew seconds, those juniper berries will give you a little bit of Rochas L’Homme and a little bit of the notes found in Dylan Blue also come through. However that BDC EDP DNA is still the one im able to draw the most similarity with if i had to chose. Its thicker and fuller due to the nutmeg and patchouli and an apple note thats barely perceivable and is pretty addicting to smell. This thing is built for compliments and ive already received a few within a week or wearing it. Longevity : i get noseblind due to the blast of ambroxan after 2 hours but when i asked my friends they could all pick it up well above that but its not as beast mode as some youtubers make it out to be. Definitely is discernable by people who havent had their noses fried by it even after 5 hours and should be able to touch 6 hours overall. Decent for a fresh scent (7/10) Projection : well above arms length for the first 2 hours, then settles into a skin scent (6/10) Sillage : it will leave a trail behind you for about 4-5 hours(7/10) Scent : hybrid of many blue fragrances and done really well, doesnt smell cheap at all (8/10) Uniqueness : obviously blue fragrances arent unique but the way its mixed here really helps set it apart slightly (6/10) Versatility : 10/10

So many here are comparing this to Bleu De Chanel... But, This is for the most part a dupe of Versace’s Dylan Blue, it’s a mix of Dylan Blue & Sauvage (Hardly surprising as Dylan Blue was Versace’s response to Sauvage) I’m not really picking up on the Bleu De Channel vibes others talk about as to me the Dylan Blue & Sauvage vibes are more prominent & besides I find BDC a weak ass frag anyway. My bottle arrived earlier today so am trying it out for longevity & projection, will update when I’ve had a chance to properly test it. But after an hour or so it’s stronger on my skin than Dylan Blue which is one of my favourite frags but sadly doesn’t project that great, this on the other hand seems to be fairing better, so we will see. Update: Love this frag, after many hours of trying this, it leans more towards Sauvage as it dries down, to my nose it’s 60% Sauvage & 40% Dylan Blue, as I said previously I’m not getting the Bleu De Chanel that others claim which suits me as I’m not that much of a fan of BDC, Dylan Blue & Sauvage on the other hand I am, so this works great for me. Longevity is around 5hrs with decent projection for the first couple of hours, lasts on clothing longer. Like it so much, I’ve already pulled the trigger & purchased a back up bottle, can see me grabbing more to put away, especially as if I like a frag I can burn my way through a 100ml bottle in a month no trouble.

I'm writing this review after 4 months of maceration. This perfume is not at all similar to Dylan Blue or Bleu de Chanel. This perfume is similar to Chemistry by Ajmal, but it still goes its own way, which is not unexpected since it has its own perfumer. After the maceration process, much of the harshness of this perfume has diminished, and it's much smoother. The notes of jasmine, musk, ambergris, and apple are more prominent and reduce the bitterness of rosemary, pink pepper, cedar and nutmeg notes. At first, it had a very bitter rosemary scent that suffocated all the other notes. But now that it has more balance, it's a very masculine, bitter, and cool aromatic fragrance with excellent performance that is not at all irritating. The notes I get most are rosemary, pink pepper, nutmeg, pine wood, and a little musk and amber. I think 3 to 5 sprays are enough for this perfume. It's more suitable for men over thirty, as it doesn't have a fun vibe at all, and instead conveys a sense of power. I think it can be a four-season fragrance, except for very cold winter days. Of course, its performance doesn't diminish, but it's not ideal to use a cool-tempered fragrance in very cold weather. For the scent, I give it an 8. I had low expectations for this, as I don't really like Dylan Blue or BDC, as I find them a bit too sweet and ambery to my liking for a daily type of scent. I really don't know why those two are voted to be closest to this, as I don't get the likeness of those two almost at all. Sure, this is leaning to that blue direction, but it wouldn't remind me of those two. For me, clearly the closest ones to this would be Sauvage or Prada Luna Rossa Carbon, thanks to the professional peppery and metallic base this one has, though this is not a clone of those two either. The sweetness and fruitiness that turn me away from Dylan Blue, are very mild, almost not present in Historic Olmeda. This would really make a great everyday/every situation scent for me. Fresh and spicy in a classy way, not youthful and attention seeking. Performance is good, and projection at least moderate. Much better, and much nicer quality than I expected. There are no off-smelling notes, sharpness, or anything present, that would make anyone think this is an affordable scent from a so called clone house.

I just got it, and nobody talkes about the nutmeg note in this. To me this is a mix of Bleu de Chanel's citruses + sauvage Edp's pink pepper & ambroxan + Sauvage Elixir's nutmeg. This is not as refreshing, nor Ambery as I thought. It's dry, citrusy, fresh and spicy. It has a smoky and spicy aspect that makes it best for summer evenings. It still needs to develop probably, will come back to it in a few weeks. The musky note that was in Dylan Blue (that I hated) is barely there and does not affect the sum. I can smell an ambroxan note but get quickly nose blind to it. I think to some degree the ambroxan can handicap the fragrance as it might come off annoying people surrounding you IF you spray anything over 3-4 sprays. But the rest of the notes are, as of now, not powerful, lasting barely an hour before turning into 4in skin scent. That could change with maceration.

This is a very weird one. Right upon first spray in afternoon heat it seemed very fresh and pleasant so pulled the trigger. Later in the evening sprayed twice to check the potency and was very impressed, while thinking what it’s a mix of BDC and dylan blue.so far so good but In the night after shower when it was a little chilly, 6 sprays of this was just like smelling into a bottle of Parker pen INK, I guess it’s the over use of ambroxan tranquilizing ones smelling sense. I did receive a forced but honest compliment at 2-3rd hour of its wearing, But what’s a fragrance worth if one cannot enjoy it himself Update: after 2 weeks of proper wearing and comparing it with bdc and Dylan blue side by side comparison, I came to the conclusion that this resembles more to office by Jeremy. Yes it’s more of a office clone with a twist rather than those two

Nose Note #750 No, it's not really a Dylan Blue dupe... It's something in the direction of Dylan Blue - sure, maybe 75%. Indeed feels something like a mix between Dylan Blue, BdC and Sauvage. Now what you are left with is an unclear picture of this shower gel trend that's dimming into the past. Kind of a muddled mens, slightly sweet citrusy ambroxan perfume. Very hard to remember, just like Dylan Blue is to my nose. It's not of bad quality, not in the least. It just doesn't have a face. A vague resemblance of many things. Not like every perfume has to be a 100% clone of something, but as an original creation I'd judge just the same - kind of meh. Beautiful bottle though. "A fragrance for school" is the vest description. 7/10, a top quality pleasant fragrance for reasonable money if you just want ONE fragrance for life. But nothing interesting

Let your Historic Olmeda sit for a few months. I got it as a gift in August of Last year. Dumb reach for 30$ - Afnan Historic Olmeda. It’s an inspired by fragrance. Think 50% Dylan Blue, 25% Sauvage EDT, 25% BDC. Wrapped together and smoothed out beautifully. If you want budget that’ll last you over 10 hours and 5 hours of heavy projection all year round. I highly recommend this. I get asked what I’m wearing all the time because it’s a familiar scent profile while still being so unique. I’d recommend 3-4 sprays max. It’s very strong beast mode so overspraying is not an option. Over time it smooths out but when I first got it it was a bit harsh but two sprays still smelled great on me. I like to layer it with 9pm, fire combo for spring time

I own BdC, Sauvage and Dylan Blue. Out of these 3, this one is definitely closest to BdC but i wouldn't call it a clone (i dont get any sauvage vibes, maybe little dylan but thats really far reached comparison). This one is spicer, woodier and night time version of BdC. It has it's own distinct signature twist that i can't compare to anything i know. Olmeda has beautiful projection, it creates amazing scent bubble around and lingers so nicely. Longerivty is not that good, only average (5-6h) This one is not redundant even if you own BdC. Quality is outstanding, nothing cheap in this one (well this one is quite highly priced right now). Scent: 9.5/10 Performance: 6.5/10 Overall: 8.5/10

This is a heterogeneous mix between Sauvage DNA and Blue de Chanel DNA. Smells uneven at first. The citrusy peppery kick of Sauvage takes the focus, the aromatic woody base of BdC kind of sits in the back. Then it smooths out. I would say the dry down still reminds me more of Sauvage. Honestly, really good. Good performance too. Only issue is price: it's kinda expensive for a dupe. 50€ pretty much everywhere. I wouldn't get it at that price. @Yahliman I can't believe you compared this to the Lidl's Deep frag which lasts shorter than a fart.

Also just a quick comparisson to armaf’s new iconic, theres some similarities both being inspired by Bleu De Chanel but this has more depth due to the nutmeg being prominent here but Iconic has a closer resemblance to BDC and is more bright and uplifting overall. Performance is about the same for both honestly they are both better than BDC by a decent amount Basically this one is darker and iconic is brighter. Take your pic you cant go wrong with either

I'm gonna say this is mixed dylan blue and dior sauvage, the opening is start with stingy spiciness bergamot with touchness of amber from dylan blue, maybe some of them resembling to bdc because this amber? The drydown mostly lean to sauvage. The projection not strong enough for me, maybe need more time to masterbate this fragrance, super versatile or dumb reach fragrances, love this combination. Rate? Easily 8/10 ✨

Smells great but sadly projection doesn’t last for more than an hour or two then turns into a very light scent, i still pick up whiffs around 7-8 hour mark. Very well blended fragrance i must add, the mid notes appear at about 5-10 minutes and smell sweet and spicy then it drys down to woody patchouli with a bit of freshness

I don't own a bottle of Bleu De Chanel so I don't know what it smells like. I do own Dior Sauvage Edt and this smells pretty similar. It's a fresher version of Dior Sauvage minus the metallic note. Performance is great and I just overall enjoy this scent.

strong ambergris and fresh soapy scent, great for summer but do not overspraying it. lasts for 8-12 hours on my skin, and two days on my clothes. it's more similar to dylan blue than bdc and sauvage imo

i just open this fragrance it is totally similar to Ajmal chemistry. nothing especial. Very mid middle eastern Ish type of fragrance. wait for maceration. im going to re check.

Like a softer sauvage with more "blueness" and less metallic. Its smoother and sweeter. Very nice. Good performing for the scent profile 8.5/10

Fresh, reminds me of Versace Dylan Blue and Bleu de Chanel. Office safe, all year. 3 stars, moderate across the board. Whoever want to buy it from me just message me with >95% left in the bottle and I throw in Armaf CDN Iconic (with 90% left).

I agree to the previous two reviews. There's a strong ambergris note in it, which really doesn't smell that pleasant - especially from up-close. I will probably end up selling it if the smell doesn't improve in time.

I get Grapefruit, Pink Pepper, Apple, Cardamom, and Cedarwood. Smells like it should be $100. My batch is from Late 2023. Longevity is about 7-9 hours with Strong/moderate projection for 4 hours. 8.2/10.

Strong, fresh, and it has a "NEW" kinda smell that makes it unique. Not like BC, I like this better, less sweet, more heavy fresh woods and citrus. Last like crazy and projects heavily. 8.7/10.

Pretty basic, around 5-6 hours on me and I'm kinda disappointed. It's very similar to a Lidl bleu de channel clone that cost 5€ for 75 ml, to me it's kinda redundant

Dumb reach frag, pretty basic, it's reminiscent of dylan blue, a little brighter and more screechy.

Olmeda has typical middle eastern super strong ambergris note which dominates everything else. speaking of "else", there is no that much "else" going on, it's basically ambergris plus mild sweet citruses and some musk. i don't get any juniper, sadly. Olmeda doesn't have anything like juniper in Sycomore or Equus which i was hoping for. it seems i get anosmic to Olmeda quite fast. i also suspect strong ambergris may dispace all other notes from my olfactory bulbs.

It’s very very salty fragrance. I wouldn’t call this blue fragrance at all. Very salty, very linear. Test before you buy

Beautiful Bottle, shame about the smell! Possibly this needs to sit for a while or maybe I got a dud bottle, but to me this is harsh and bitter smelling, like a strong pine disinfectant you'd use to clean public toilets with. It needs sweetness and some mint ; but I will revisit after a few months.The reason I think it might mellow is it definitely smelt much better the day after the initial first spray, I mean considerably better. First spray out of the box was really harsh, bitter and unpleasant.

When i first got it i didnt like it at all, because i was expecting a Bleu de Chanel. But it was not. Now after 3 Month its summer now.... i kinda like it but when i smell it from away not upclose... its kinda like refreshing and extremely masculine and its very close to dylan blue but more in a peppery way it has some masculine dirtyness in it, which is kinda like a nice difference to those blue fragrances. But its no a blind buy perfume.

In perfumery, maceration and maturation are distinct processes that contribute to the final fragrance. Maceration is the initial blending of fragrance oils with a solvent (usually alcohol), while maturation is the subsequent aging process where the fragrance develops and harmonizes over time. Please stop using maceration, except you are a perfumer and you are actually making a new fragrance. Maturation is the aging process.

I wonder why it is not listed in the notes but there is a really heavy rosemary accord in this scent. Like, heavy heavy. Especially in the beginning, dense rosemary oil is all I can smell. Then it settles to a more mass-appealing, smoother scent. I have been discovering dupes for some time now and this is good, but nothing special. Note: this does not clone anything, I am pretty sure it is its own thing.

Smells basic and simple, and in a very good way. To me, smells like clean soap, with a citrus and aquatic note. Pretty safe for the office, considering i work in healthcare and ppl actually enjoy it. A lot of compliments from nurses. A very safe blind but too. Not much else to say tbh. 8.5/10.

Maturation needed. This is very aromatic and my opinion. A middle eastern Dylan Blue. I blind bought because of Cal and i’m disappointed. Performance is nothing to call home about. It’s obviously still a blue fragrance so j can’t say it smells bad. 7.1/10. Mid

Smells like a freshly opened magazine and dries down to a library books scent. Fair play if that's what they were going for, this is called Historic after all.
