Ornament Pour Homme

Apple, cardamom, saffron, sandalwood and amber... but the little sweet notes and the smell of delicious apple last for quite a long time. It has good parameters, longevity and projection. It is not a clone or a fragrance inspired by Azzaro Wanted, it was created two years earlier. It has a tacky, even idiotic and uncomfortable bottle. It was created too early, before the UAE clone machine was in full swing... and maybe that's why it remained so unknown, so forgotten. It is a fragrance far from banal, but it is not particularly original either. However, it is not artificial, it is very little synthetic... and this low price is simply ridiculous. Let's look at it this way, the stupid bottle stays in the cupboard... we don't hang it around our necks and announce to the whole world that we have an original, oriental pendant. The bottle stays at home and the scent follows us. Believe me, it's great, it's worth every dollar. No one will be ashamed of this scent, most of the ppl will not even recognize that it is cheap. If someone appreciates compliments, there will be compliments. I don't like it, my scent is for me... but everyone will get what they expect. If I poured the contents of this Afnan into a bottle of some well-known Western brand, it would cost four times more. No, it is not the most refined, it is not unique, but we know dozens of not very unique, expensive bottles. This one is good enough, better for me than many other famous fragrances I own. "Ornament" will be suitable for virtually any occasion. I really, really like and appreciate this perfume. There are hundreds of Arabic fragrances that are rated and liked by commenters on Fragra... but this one is definitely less chemical, definitely more noble than 95% of them all. I recommend it.

The opening hits you with a sweet and spicy burst of apple and cardamom, with clove and nutmeg adding a warm, slightly gourmand edge. It’s lively but not overdone. This middle phase feels polished and refined, adding depth without losing the approachable sweetness. The dry-down, though, is where it truly wins me over. The blend of amber, patchouli, and sandalwood creates a smooth, warm, and slightly woody finish that lingers beautifully on the skin. It has that 1 Million vibe, though I find Ornament Pour Homme more balanced and less aggressively sweet. It feels smoother, with the amber and woods grounding it in a way that makes it perfect for cooler weather or evening wear. I could wear it throughout the year, exception made for the hottest days and nights. Longevity is solid, lasting around 6 hours, and it projects well without being overwhelming. For me, Ornament Pour Homme is a go-to when I want something bold yet versatile, offering the richness of high-end designer fragrances without the price tag. It’s a fantastic blend of sweet, spicy, and woody notes that’s sure to grab attention while remaining elegant and wearable.

Honestly, I'm surprised this isn't more popular. It's sweet, gentle, a slight warm richness, and slightly dark. Yet, there's a consistent layer of a refreshing crispness that tames the denser notes at the base. Ornament is an outstanding bargain. It will reach noses from several feet away, and will generally be a crowd pleaser. Along with many hours of staying power, I'm nothing short of impressed. This could fit most occasions in my humble opinion. Particularly for dates, intimacy, casually, and even the office. My skin generally disagrees with fragrances. Not that they stink on my skin, but they tend to dissipate rather quickly. Not this one. All day, all night, next day- still smell it and still smells delicious. What I also love here is that the lines between youth and maturity are properly blurred. I believe that most age groups can pull this off. The notes do well with the cold, and softly permeate in the heat. I really do love this EDP. It somewhat reminds me of several different releases from Montblanc and Azzaro. But to be fair, Ornament stands on it's own legs and offers a different experience than either of those. The performance versus what some of these higher price brands offer is a head-scratcher, as well. Okay, I'll stop boasting. Thanks for this absolute banger, Afnan.

#1586 in my "Tour de Fragrance" I got this sprayette from scentswithscents.com for $4.99. I've passed over this Afnan scent for years because I hate these kinds of bottles. They waste space, are easily knocked over and make a cheap impression. But it's actually a nice scent. Mostly you get cardamom, clove and nutmeg. To my nose this is very similar to Western Valley London "Signature X" which is out there for $200 and up, whereas this is out there for $22. This is not sophisticated scent, more of a shaving cream scent with the classic cedar, sandalwood and patchouli base you find in wood-focused shaving creams. Personally I like standard shaving creams like Cremo "Astonishingly Superior Sandalwood", Taylor of Old Bond Street "Royal Forest" way better than I like the popular gels. So it is sort of an old-fashioned "dad juice", but from the PMs I get from young men around the globe those unabashedly masculine scents are making a comeback, and my female friends in their early twenties kinda like that stuff (just as they kinda like men with jobs that pay for dinner). Good longevity and projection. Inoffensive in any setting. Makes a fresh-from-the-shower impression. If you don't own anything this traditional I think this is a good one to start with. As I went to rate this scent, I saw I was only the fifth person to do so. What the hell? Ornament is a ridiculously good value, monster performer, and excellent men’s fragrance. My husband wore it today which resulted in the latest round of compliments it has received. First, his bus driver told him that “he smelled especially amazing” and that he always notices his excellent colognes. At work, a coworker, who caught his sillage from several feet away, also complimented his cologne, telling him, again, that he smelled amazing. Now, 14 hours after applying it, I can still smell it on him. Once his previous signature scent, Bvlgari Man in Black, became harder to find and more expensive, I bought my husband Ornament, hoping it would be almost as good. Turns out, it gets more compliments than Bvlgari did. It is not a clone of Man in Black in any way, but we both like is just as much. It is extremely well blended, although the apple and cardamom emerge the strongest at first. It is spicy, dark, and fresh, but not in a “freshie” way. If you’re looking to blind buy something, and these notes look good to you, go for it. It’s inexpensive enough to be a safe blind buy for most folks. After a 14 hour work day I can still smell it on him and the sillage remains impressive.
