Portrait - Revival

Afnan’s Portrait Revival is just another example of taking a very popular scent DNA and cashing in on it. At least they tried something different with the bottle design and packaging. Scent wise, if you smelled Lataffa’s Khamrah or Zimaya’s Sharaf Blend you automatically know how Portrait Revival smells like. 99% similar to both. But with a dark chocolate note added, which is not even that distinguishing on the skin.. It’s a scent profile that is very much to my liking so I don’t mind owning any of them, especially for cool weather and especially since my husband grew to like and wear them. With all that being said, if you have one, you don’t need the other two. Performance is on par with Lataffa, long lasting and strong projector. I’d say buy the one you can get cheaper in your country or the one you like better the bottle design. I find Afnan bottle sleek design the most easy to carry around in a purse or a bag. The other two mentioned above are more clunky. And I always appreciate an ombré bottle.

I LOOOOOOOVE THIS PERFUME! ❤️ Holy heck this is so good.🫦 I immediately get smoked apple-like fruitiness, a very well balanced cinnamon swimming in sweet dark spiced brandy. The booziness melts into a delicate but prominent woodiness and that smokey, cinnamon apple/fruit just radiates into your senses. Damm Good! Warning! Burnt rubber notes emerge if you spray too much but it eventually goes away. (30 min or so} 10/10 SMEEEEELLLLL MEEEEE!

It's basically Afnan's take on Angel's Share. A direct competitor to Sharaf Blend, Kamrah Qawah, but with Afnan's twist. A rum detail to it. It's quite good. 8.5-9.5/10.

Smooth Sophistic Sweet. Love the way this is not trying to overdo anything. Near perfection.

Opening: A quite pleasant blend of warm spices such as cinammon, pepper, honey as well as some floral notes with hints of chocolate 7/10 Later: The latter part is where this perfume starts to shine for me. It becomes a really nice blend of spices, dates and chocolate, some da which later on becomes much more visible. The blend is sweet but not sweet which is really nice. 8/10 Projection and sillage: Projection is solid, you got a 2-3 hours of solid bauble and then the smell stays closer to you. 7.5/10 Price:quality 8/10 Overall: It's really pleasant gourmand scent. It's full of various spices and fine chocolate. What I especially like about it, is that in spite of having these notes its sweetness stays on a pleasant, not overwhelming level. The scent itself does feel noble and I think it's a good choice if you're into scents of warm spices and chocolate. It does bear some resemblance to Khamrah but it's not that sweet and the chocolate in it is a great addition, in my opinion.
