Rare Passion

Rare Passion is a unique and beautiful fragrance -- I'm really glad I have it in my collection. It is sweet, but not sickly -- the citrus gives it a tartness. There is a hint of rose, but for me, this is mostly orange, orange blossom, vanilla, musk, and amber. It's quite linear apart from the opening being a bit more citrus-heavy (as you would expect) and the amber and vanilla being more obvious in the dry down. It performs well -- lasts forever on clothes, and a good 4 hours on skin. It projects far enough that every time I wear it while shopping I get compliments from people standing a good 6 ft away. I did let Rare Passion sit for 3 ish months before testing it out properly and its performance has improved. I don't own anything like it, but it does give me Gucci Rush vibes. It's a softer, rounder, more innocent, and more feminine Gucci Rush. But like I said, it's a vibe, they don't smell that similar -- so maybe if you love Gucci Rush you could give Rare Passion a go.

Not sure if this is supposed to be a dupe of anything but to my nose this is a combination of Hanae Mori with a toned down version of,the original Rare Tiffany DNA in the background (especially in the opening). The sweet orange and rose is present in the opening. In a few minutes, the Orange blossom emerges with the vanilla. As it dries down, I get more of that Hanae Mori DNA ( sweet powdery, musky sandalwood, vanilla). I do prefer this over Hanae Mori as it does not have that plastic-like smell that is present. I'm going to let this sit for at least a month but I like it so far though I do feel it's redundant to have both. I believe this can be worn in all seasons.

Smells like a more feminine version of LV Stellar times. It’s lovely!

The opening is nice, I can smell orange, rose, white floral and musk. The dry down is a bit strange and I have to agree with audreyofarc, it smells a little like citrus dishwasher soap on my skin or the citronella stuff you spray on or around to fight off mosquitoes. Weird. But arabic perfumes often need maceration time, so I hope it'll change. But definitely love the opening! Edit: One and a half years later, it didn't change much, maybe the citrus schreechiness got a little rounded off but it remains an odd perfume. I'm passing it on.

Good for the price but not blended very well. Kinda sharp and synthetic smelling but not bad

Rare Passion opens with that pink, candied, almost fizzy fruit note that to me feels sharp, plasticky, hollow and neon-sweet without any depth. The florals here are thin, shampoo‐clean and screechy, lacking the body, creaminess, or narcotic pull that I enjoy. It has no personality with no real base to anchor it. Rare Passion dries down to a soft, musky vanilla‐amber that feels flat, short‐lived, not warm or resinous enough. I prefer bases with depth, warmth, and structure - amber, woods, resins and musk with presence. The overall pink fruity‐floral profile of this is the opposite of my aesthetic. I prefer narcotic florals, ambers, dark sweetness, Middle Eastern warmth and complexity.

Lovely bottle.. but Musk. Rose. Citrus. And MORE MUSK! Had it for 2 plus months, at first it was harsh and strong. Now a little sweeter and less musky but still cloying if you overspray.

What? This is not a Summer scent. It is too rich and thick. I'm not sure why people chose Spring and Summer for this. It is not bad at all but I can't stand it in warm weather.

My honest first reaction? "Oh, that's not..." Did I get a bad bottle? Do I just really hate musk? There's absolutely nothing sweet or comforting about this to my nose...a slight citrusy creaminess in the opening that piqued my interest, but it quickly dissolves into laundry detergent, bitterness, and a headache. Such a disappointment. Bleh.

Not a sweet citrus perfume as I expected. More like a musky rose to my nose. Sharp in the opening with a powdery dry down. I can't with this one and last for hours.

I love, love, love this perfume! It’s ironic, because I didn’t like it when it first arrived, especially when compared to Rare Tiffany. However, I sprayed it several times and let it set for 3 months. Now it is softer and better blended. There is a rich complexity to this fragrance that I am appreciating so much now.

Am trying really hard to like this perfume,it's not blended well and mine sprays like water. But to be fair I got a compliment while wearing it. I don't even know what I smell apart from powder

Strong entrance. Slightly sweet, musky floral, fruity citrus drydown. Average feminine fragrance with good sillage and longevity. Interesting and somehow young.

I think if you like fragrances in the Guidance, Noble Blush, Peace&Love family, you will like Rara Passion. It has a slightly creamy quality in the drydown.

I’ll agree with the reviewer below, this is definitely in the same family as Peace & Love. A very musky, creamy dry down. Much lighter, however.
