Thoughts of a sampling... * Kapow! Right off the bat an exhilarating sensation. * Liking this on so many levels. * Strong sweet Cinnamon and not at all spicey. * Seems like ultra thick pieces of corrugated cardboard soaked in cinnamon water. * Sounds weird but I'm digging it quite a lot. * And I do not usually like cinnamon in my fragrances. * The Oud seems so mellow. * Almost as if it's been castrated. Seems as if it were soaked in water only to lose its potency. * The Oud is still potent up front, just not as potent as expected. * Until it begins to die off, after an hour or so. * And then the euphoria is over as it becomes a skin scent between the second and third hour. * At which point I feel like a junkie grasping at whatever wafts are left to be had. ** Final thoughts... In my opinion this is the best cinnamon scent ever. At $495.USD for 25ml it seems grossly overpriced. That being said I would actually consider it, if it were knock your sox off potent and lasted a little longer. It smells that good.

This is a very nice oud soliflore with a few accessory spices, the most prominent being cinnamon. It shares a few similarities with one of Agar Aura’s past oud sprays, Kelantan, though this one is notably less smoky. The Malinau oud used here is unlike any I have tried before, and it’s evident that Taha knows what he’s doing when it comes to getting the most out of his distillations. It starts out with a HEAVY blast of cinnamon and a very gentle smokiness. The oud is present from the start, and it continues to show itself more with time. Malinau is a very “friendly” oud, and I doubt anyone would find it offensive. It’s fresh, fruity, and uplifting, with a heart of clean, slightly bitter woods. If you like oud, in any of its forms, you will likely enjoy this. And if you liked Kelantan, but found it to be too smoky, you will definitely enjoy it.

The Oud in this fragrance is so much deeper than almost any of the Ouds I have tried (and I have tried a great many). It bearss comparison to one of Agar Attars other Ouds,,Agar Attar.. Both of the previous reviewers say in much better words than I can why this is so special. But I will be honest and say I got some smoky notes when I first opened my samples. It does not show up much on the skin, but maybe I just do not know Kinamic Ouds of Indonesia well enough. The cinnamon and vanilla notes are subtle. This one is not quite all about Oud but pretty darn close. Not sure I can justify a full bottle but I will test this some more and perhaps change my mind.

Deep woody excursion into the Kinamic Oud from the Malinau region of Indonesia. The perfume is primarily a showcase for this incense like Oud with coniferous balsamic aspects. The Oud is slightly sweetened with notes of vanilla and cinnamon. But otherwise a natural delight. The slight masculine leaning scent has moderate projection and good longevity. Recommended primarily for Oud lovers. Enjoy!
