Floating Lands

My seventh review on Fragrantica is coming with a fragrance that Edulge kindly added to my Pick 'n' Mix order as a free sample. I have never tried any scent that leans feminine before, and don't typically like floral scents at all. However, in the spirit of expanding my knowledge and understanding, I thought I'd wear this to work today and see how it goes. Unfortunately, my nose isn't accustomed to knowing what each flower smells like, however, it does open quite florally, and to me, smells exactly like walking into 'Lush', which if you know, is a very pleasant smelling store. The florals aren't invasive at all and I was actually surprised. The blend is really good and maybe my distaste for floral fragrances is due to only ever smelling in your face, synthetic designer fragrances. These types of scents will always smell the same to me, almost like a clean, nice smelling bath bomb. As the scent dries down, I get a powdery iris scent with an light amber/wood base - like a deeper parma violet scent. If the fragrance opened like this, you could make an argument for it being unisex potentially. To me, it definitely leans feminine, however, it's not exclusive to women and the right male could probably pull this off. I've been pleasantly surprised by this, and glad I'm giving new things a go.
