Cinder

The listed notes are currently incorrect. I just sent an email to Ahmed Al Maghribi to let them know that the notes shown on their website don’t match their own fragrance description on exact same site. In the fragrance description, the top notes are bergamot and davana with pink pepper; the middle notes are agarwood (oud), white amber, and rosemary; and the base notes are leather and musk, Haitian vetiver, and ambroxan. They’ve just replied and said they will update it accordingly. As for the scent itself: Ahmed Al Maghribi Cinder is a very masculine fragrance. It strongly reminds me of the ultra-masculine Axe scents from the 1990s and 2000s—spicy freshness combined with a darker kind of masculinity. I immediately thought of those Axe fragrances that many of us, as kids of the ’90s and 2000s, practically wore like perfume. What’s especially fascinating is that the scent does a full 180-degree turn over time and completely transforms. It opens fresh, with a vibe that almost feels like a cold, carbonated soft drink (that freshness and spice most likely come from the pink pepper). After a while, it flips entirely and turns really dark: leathery and vetiver-heavy—pure masculinity. Leather jacket, Harley-Davidson energy. A truly men’s scent—not “green” or old-school in the classic masculine style of Chanel Antaeus or Dior Fahrenheit, but more like that Axe-style masculinity from the late ’90s and 2000s: a fresh opening followed by manliness with leather, (supposed) oud, and vetiver. Neither the leather nor the (oud) feels animalic. Personally, I don’t really pick up the oud—more leather and a bit of vetiver. If Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce is the teen-crush, high-school, surfer-boy scent, then Cinder is the bad boy: “first tattoo at 16, first Harley at 18.” Even though it’s an Extrait de Parfum, the sillage isn’t as loud as some of my other Ahmed Al Maghribi fragrances. It feels like it’s almost entirely oil—but because the overall accords are more restrained, it can’t (and doesn’t want to) shout—and it doesn’t need to. It’s a dark, leathery fragrance with a fresh, fizzy soft-drink opening. Longevity is around 10 to 12 hours. In terms of price and quality, it’s absolute elite—very typical of Ahmed Al Maghribi. For me personally, it’s the best (affordable) house from the UAE.

In order for me... Blue Oud > Cinder > Laanthi. Another powerhouse smokey incense oud accord that lasts forever and a day. This has the least amount of fruit in it of the three. It takes 6 months for it to awaken after arrival so dont be too quick to judge. I gave it a 5 right off the truck. This is an 8.25 or better. Had these been good off the truck, I wouldn't have purchased the Interlude trio.

is very beautiful leather (i don't know where the other notes went but is good blend), it reminds me of old school Tom Ford i just tested it once and its liner in my opinion i will say for man its blind buy

The notes & main accords are really different from how Cinder actually smells.

What the hell are these notes and accords? They are wrong 😂 Anyways, to me this smells like sort of a toned down version of Imperial Valley. Not bad at all. I don’t own IV but I have smelled it a few times from 2 of my friends that owns them. IV is way more stronger and potent, it’s stronger on the oud and leather I believe. Another popular dupe is Laverne’s Blue Laverne Bakhur. It smells similar too but still way stronger than Cinder. Overall, Cinder isn’t a bad cheap alternative for IV. But nothing crazy tbh since it’s like a “softer” version of IV. Longevity isn’t as good as the OG too.

What's the difference between this one and Bleu Oud? Did they really make two different clones of the same frag?

i have tasted too many perfumes but this one is better than all muhammad dehghani perfumes

Antiseptic spray. I bought this last fall but totally disappointed with the smell . At first i get antiseptic liquid smell like Savlon or Dettol. Then in dry down it smell like kinda hawas . But projection and longevity is uptothe mark.

The official website lists the same notes as mentioned here. But I can only get the smell of citrus, oud and leather. Smells like Imperial valley or Lathani with a weak performance if you compare it with these two fragrances. Overall a decent Imperial valley DNA on a budget.
