Oud & Roses

As happens quite frequently, the note breakdown here is incorrect. Top notes include lemon, lavender, peony, and turkish rose. Mid notes include frankincense, sandalwood, and white florals. Base notes include oud, amber, gaiac wood and oakmoss. I believe there could be rose in the top and mid notes as you do get two different "flavors" of rose when wearing this. On first spray, you get a super clean combo of lavender, peony, rose and citrus. It's surprisingly fresh and the opening is addictive. The frankincense and sandalwood help keep the woods and oud in the mid and base smelling clean, and maybe somewhat dry, but in a pleasant way. The oud in this is detectable, but thanks to the mid notes, never comes off as funky or animalic. As the mid approaches, the rose in this becomes jammy and slightly sweet, but still kept somewhat fresh by the white florals which are barely detectable at all. So long as your sprays are controlled, I would argue this stays fresh enough to use all year round. The only time I would be weary of using this would be in the highest of heats. Don't wear this in a hot warehouse or security guard shack or some other small yet hot enclosure if you're going to be around people. They may die. But, if you're going to be in an air conditioned environment, I say go for it, use it all year. It probably doesn't need to be said that this thing is strong and lasts forever. I can smell the base notes on my skin the next day when I wear this. This has gotten me compliments and is fairly mass appealing as far as oud fragrances go. If you're a beginner in the oud world, or if you don't like your ouds super funky or animalic, this is definitely the pick for you.

yes this is a rose and oud scent but there is so much more depth and it leans more masculine only a few desginer or niche frags i have smelled that are rose based can smell masculime,i got some pure rose and oud oil from dubai and i layer it with this and i get complients all day, this could be someones signature scent it is good all year round and is perfect in the day or office and perfect going out this is one of those rare instances that check marks all the boxes,im not saying it semlls like it at all cos it deff dont but dior sauvage (make sure its the edp) its great year round morning night ect ect HERE ARE THE PROPER NOTES BTW top notes: Floral (Turkish rose, lavender, lemon, peony) heart notes: Sweet (sandalwood, white flowers, frankincense) base notes: Musky( agarwood, guaiac wood, oak moss, Musk, amber) ^ those notes were taken directly from the ahmed al maghribi website, but those notes dont even do it justice it i could sit here and for 20 minute about it but no one wants to read that, trust me this is banger for sure and you will love it no barnyard oudy smell, though i got their sample packs off amazon(crazy good deal like 50 of their samples for like 35) whatever collection u wanna pick and ooouiweeee some of the really hard to pronounce and are really dark scents are VERY barnyard so if your not experienced with that just give them to someone you dont like lol

This stuff is ridiculously good. You can come straight out of the box with this, but I can already get a sense of what maturation will do to this scent. The opening is a blast of fresh roses. Admittedly, it will open extremely femme; like your Bohemian crush that plays with tarot cards yet her family has majority stake in a corporate tower conglomerate. Once that fades, the more unisex floral begins to bloom into this clean, rich, deep and thick rose scent. Imagine someone perfectly extracting rose oil from the plumpest rose and this is what you'd get. It is a pure floral scent with a faint trace of ambroxin, but the oud literally does not exist at all. Maybe it's adding some unknown edge to balance the Turkish rose but if you're looking for that oud, woody musk -- you wont find it here. If you're a man that can own clean rose, I highly recommend this frag. It projects crazy (4 sprays; two neck pulse points, one chest, one on hand to rub on clothing) and keeps me coming back for sneaky sniffs. I plan on stacking this with Amber Noir or Ombre Leather to extract the woodiness that I believe this scent deserves. 10/10

so sultry and mysterious. plays on somewhat masculine fragrance profile to make something so darkly, dare i say carnally, feminine. it is almost like a perfect yin yang; the masculinity in the perfume's structure brings out so much feminine sexiness. i have never not been complimented while wearing this and that is no exaggeration; it exudes such confidence. i would also venture that this smells slightly different on everyone, as when my mom wore this, it took me a while to even register that it was oud and roses. for the price point the sillage and longevity is incredible. this perfume has high signature scent potential, but is definitely a safe nighttime reach. as for season, it worked on me in 50+ degree celsius middle eastern temperatures, but can get heady, so hold off on the overspraying. ahmad al maghribi is quite hard to find outside of the GCC so if you live elsewhere and acquire this somehow, you are sure to make a statement. my husband also loves this one on me, if that helps >:).

Edit: Dident think this would change after first opening it and just getting Mostly rose but it did It gets more earthy and a bit more Woody in the base and the top has more lime sweetness, i did not like it that much at the start and i felt like i was missing why some give it so much praise Now i kind off get it, you need to really love rose to understand this. The oud also grows and i think this will just get better with time and mature with grace it changes depending on ph and temperature so it needs to be tested more then once to understand it, i get how it can have so mixed reviews cause its a truly niche quality at bargain price and iff your used to more basic offerings and clones at the same price range this will come off as a strange beast made off fleshy rose dripping in oil

Its a really good fragrance but its not the best right out of the box. I came in expecting a nice fresh rose but it smells more like the root of the flower if that makes sense. its almost like a dark note with all the earthiness but its really grown on me. I think with a but if maceration the perfume really grows up to its potential. it also lasts unbelievably long. I could smell it on my jacket 2 weeks after i sprayed it.

Royalty!!! This perfume scrrreams royalty. I imagine princess Diana wearing this when she visits an arab country. It's such an elegant and exquisite scent. The packaging matches its vibe perfectly. It's dark, sexy, and gorgeous. Performance is top notch as well. Something about this juice really reminds me of Rasasi's Shuhrah. It's a cleaner version of that, I would say. Shuhrah has rose and agarwood notes as well.

One of the best middle eastern perfume I have. It feels like an arab price returned home after a war victory and showered in expensive rose water then enjoying with his companions in a room filled with oud incense. That's just how I feel after putting this. I rock all day with it. Cold hot doesnt matter. But maybe a evening time scent. 9/10 (-1 for 60ml). Not so cheap, Not so expensive either.

Yeah this is fucking exquisite. Roses with a beautiful smooth designer esque citrus opening. The drydown gets earthy and nutty , the oud is subdued. edit: my friend was wearing one spray of this and it blew up the whole living room and kitchen for an hour, I've definitely been wearing too much in public lol. Only negative point is the atomizer is not great

Fleshy thick rose, reading comments saying it smells like soap or no rose... Really? Its a rose bomb and zero soap. A wet dewy green rose top notes off lime and in the deep deep dry down a musky muddy oud, its so thick and and oily..robust and light at the same time only thing i would wish from this is a stronger oud note

Timeless elegance in a bottle. Amazing masculine scent, rose is not feminine in this at all. Not sure why are people saying otherwise. Maybe because they haven't had a chance of using ME fragrances, especially AAM. 10/10 for me. The only thing is that I wished it had the 100ML bottle instead of the 60MLs.

First things first, I'm a man, discovered that I like the rose accord. I've not let it maturate but out of the box it is a bright rose with a slight oud backdrop. Now from having le labo the noir 29 I can safely say this isn't that type of dark rose accord. It is definitely bright, and is unisex. 8/10

I love arabian perfumes and an oud lover. Oud and Roses by Ahmed Al Maghribi is one of my most favourite perfumes. I love strong and long lasting arabian fragrances and this is one of them. I love the smell. It is so beautiful that I keep smelling it. It lasts for about more than 10 hours.

one of the best middle eastern perfumes ever made , smells so premium after spending just pennies beautiful combination of oud & roses along with some fresh citruses in oopening which is not mentioned in notes here. lasts literally more than a day on clothes,projects for whooping 2 hrs +

This perfume is pure rose and oud. The perfect combo for your average GCC woman. It can be worn in any season and any time of the day. The quality is excellent: longevity is eternal and sillage is strong.

Beautiful rose frag, though some notes are missing like it has some fresh citrus in opening which is not mentioned here , rest beautiful blend of rose mixed with oud. Lasts more than a day easily

Even if this one is leaning more feminine I really love the freshness and dry down. It's rose, but not heavy floral. Fresh air rose with a little oud in the bottom.

It’s very rare that I smell a new scent and immediately want to buy it. It’s easily one of the best rose fragrances I’ve smelled thus far. A very safe blind buy if you like rose notes. Agarwood is one of my favorite woods and is used in some of my favorite fresh woody colognes (e.g., Versace eau fraiche). The “oud” in this is not strong at all. The rose starts very fresh and lingers with a bit of “jamminess” in the dry down — it remains very pleasant though. This frag is unisex but a bit feminine-leaning on its own. Nonetheless, I’ve never been more excited to find a perfect layering combo for a scent before.

Pretty straightforward rose and oud combination, but the rose is more on the fresh side than the darker side. It reminds me of rose water that is used often here in the Indian subcontinent. The oud is woody than the traditional middle eastern oud that makes this more wearable. I really don't get the other notes like Lavender, etc. An easy like, easy-going casual scent making it a 7/10 for me. Nothing special but not bad either. Instant mood uplifting scent though, because of the rosewater vibe. Great to wear on religious occasions when you don't want to bother anyone around.

Nose Note #930 Not what I excepted at all. This is very soapy and not even that oudy. I can't say the rose note is very "rosey" either... It is a very nice and elegant scent, but I just expected something else. I even smell a peach accord or something similar Unisex slightly leaning feminine, but giving it a second thought - it's perfectly unisex. Very strong, just great. Good sillage It reminds me quite a lot of Soleil de Jeddah, but soapy. 8.2/10, it is very elegant indeed. I hoped it would be the usual oud+rose combo, but it's far from that

The scent is like rasasi shuhrah's drydown, but more intensive. This is very strong in projection also long lasting to eternal at longevity. Better take rasasi shuhrah if you don't wanna disturb anyone noses more calming at projection. Not recommended for daily use since it has strong projection, for me this is good for special occasion if you're looking for attention. I like this for special occasion. Overall rating 8/10 ✨

Finally this budget-friendly perfume house has been featured. This was among their top sellers for years. I know there is another spicy accord in the mix outside of rose and oud (not so sure but maybe a type of amber). Projection on my skin is massive but longevity is 4 hours tops. Beddon Ism is an upgrade of this.

Blind bought this. It it is a 1 for 1 copy of Rasasi Shaghaf (NOT SHUHRAH) 97% the same. Shaghaf has a slightly fresher take. But same juice in the air. If you have that in your collection like I do, this is redundant. Very strong nice potent smell!

A bit different from the classic rose fragrances so common in the arabian universe. Oud is light and there is some greeness making it not as feminine like other reviewers sustain. I like it but I would buy only heavily reduced in price.

Sweet and mesmerising, absolutely. A bit reminds me of arabyiat oud al-layl. But honestly done in better way, by much (less synthetic). Honestly don't think this can ever be hated. It's a perfect gift.

Slightly feminine but definitely can be worn by men. Performance is insane, a couple sprays can be overpowering and eternal on me. Quite floral on the dry down and is a pleasant smell just very loud.

A blind buy for me. This one is a hard 'ok' for me. It opens very, very harsh for my personal tastes. A LOT of synthetic rose and not much Oud. Dry down does not change very much - feels a bit linear and flat to be honest. Does have good staying power and sillage is reasonable. It might smell better on someone else - is definitely unisex. I personally, can't see myself wearing this one very much if at all. It's just a bit too harsh and doesn't really have all that much to say for itself - I don't pick up any oud at any stage of wear which is disappointing for me. The Rose is definitely there but in a far too sickly, almost air freshener, synthetic type vibe that just doesn't give me any excitement or joy. For me - it lacks depth and any form of warmth. Given the strength of this - it is really rather strong - I'd suggest it's a winter frag and so would have liked the Oud and spice to come through a bit more to help balance the almost slightly screechy rose top note. Rated as OK simply because of longevity and price point. IF you're a big fan of rose - this might work for you.

This fragrance opens up with a nice citrus pop which is not listed in the note breakdown--it's very fizzy at first, in a good way, almost like a soda pop. Obviously, the "rose" takes center stage shortly thereafter. To my nose the aldehydes in it are a bit strong--it comes across as slightly sour, slightly cleaning solution type. Because of the strong aldehydes, I'd say it's definitely feminine leaning; however, it being "feminine" or "masculine" is NOT what bothers me about this fragrance. The rose could have been done a bit better. I am completely happy that I didn't blind buy this, got a sample. The final verdict is that it smells a little too synthetic for my liking. Perhaps in the air it might smell differently to others (we know that on skin things may not smell great but its projection in the air is good). It's possible that this one fits into that category. It does not smell like Rose Prive or Rose D'Arabie. This one you should definitely sample first ( I like Oud Satin Mood and its clone, but this is nothing like those--not even close).

#FR_Log1 - Blind buy rating : 0/10 This is my first review on fragrantica and initial impression of this fragrance, i got official AAM 3ml sample of this and actually i would have sprayed it right before writing this review but i am not for some good reasons . I don't know what is wrong with the notes breakdown here , i get lemony opening which is really synthetic like if some of my friend would have brought it in some cheap bottle i would have agreed that yeah this is really cheap but as it is coming from AAM and not some clown house i would say i will let this one sit and i will revisit and maybe edit my comment someday. For now this is really synthetic lemony peony opening where the rose is in the background with white florals . Yeah this is polarizing i did not had the courage to apply it on the skin as to me this is headache inducing . This stuff is really potent i am still getting it off the strip 16 hours down ,also note that there is stain on the tester strip .

Simple note breakdown absolutely nails it. This is oud and rose through and through, from the top note to the lingering scent 8 hours later. I disagree with a lot of the positive reviews, but I also love this scent. To me, it's very simple, very synthetic, very strong - likely very polarizing. It's a scent profile I love, and can be found in many other more complicated perfumes, but nowhere else has it more simple or intense. If you're not familiar with the oud & rose combination, imagine smelling freshly cut rose stems, dew dripping down your fingers. It's not a powdery makeup rose, its not a woody smell, but a waltz through a recently watered greenhouse, still leaning a bit feminine and classy. Many other perfumes use this as a base to layer other scents upon, forming evolving experiences that change as they dry down and have unique twists. For this perfume specifically, the scent is less of a pleasant stroll and more like you shoved rose stems up your nose until you couldn't breathe anymore. Amazing if you want that smell with beast mode performance, and I absolutely love it, but it's hard to find appropriate occasions to wear it to.

Had a sample of this first few spritz, was disappointed, smelled intense and like I thought maybe old person, but after few months gave it another try and this has transmogrified into a most rich opulent beautiful realistic rose perfectly balanced with the dark woody oud, I really love it sprayed a whole lot on me and was enjoying the rest of the day doing house work getting satisfying motivating wafts. I have to get a bottle of this good stuff it’s really converted me into a true believer in maceration/maturation after my apostate agnosticism on the phenomena.

Don't approach this expecting a sweet Turkish Delight-style rose note, like what you'd find in many other rose-oud fragrances. This is incredibly green and floral in the opening, like a garden fully encapsulated in a bottle. It needed a couple months of maturation for the rose to reach full potency, but this still leaves you feeling surrounded by plants towering around you. It's one of the most interesting fragrances I own, and it's a great conversation starter, I'm just not sure when I'd want to smell like this.

I'm about to nail this review. First of all, nothing remotely close to Armani's Rose D'Arabie so don't be fooled. This is a soft, fresh take on a Rose Oud. Turkish delight vibes. Lemony up top. It is well-blended for sure. It starts off a little rose water, jammy and clean, but it gets dry and lemony as it dries down. And yes, there is an almost powdery-meets-juicy sweetness here. Very soft oud note. Subliminal roles here. Absolutely leans fem, but wearable by a man.

I love this perfume so much that I purchased the bukhoor too. It's fantastic. I don't get any lemon on the opening. Just sweet, strong roses (not in an old lady Yardley, powder way) the rose scent is clean and sweet, with a hint of incense. Which gives it a boho vibe. This is going to be my signature scent from now on. A bit like Rose Jam on steroids.

I smelt this on a lady whilst out and had to ask her what it was. Stunning! Luckily for me she gave me what was left in her bottle - I was so surprised! Ordered it straight away. After Codzia was stopped being made I was on the hunt for a new "me" scent and this is it. Quite strong initially , fades to a warm rose & woody scent. Lasts all day.

This is by far the best from Ahmed Al Maghribi...a very beast mode Oud and a very masculine wearable Rose which compliments each other with a very prominent fresh and citrus note which was not listed in the notes...for the special occasions and important meetings 💥💥💥💥💥

Genuinely just rose and oud, a little leather on the drydown. Its rlly strong and lasts, after I sprayed it and washed my hands the rose note js dissapeared and it was pure leather. But without washing its nicely blended and great for winter

Dont expect to a typical rose oud fragrance,this isnt it.Its more female ,peony rosewater with a lot of greeness,smells like some victoria secret perfume.Its def feminine leaning i dont find wearing this myself
