Rose Noir

This range/series of perfumes from Ahmed Al Maghribi is a hidden gem. I bought Lush Noir and Rose Noir as a combo on discount in January 2025, and originally Lush Noir was my favourite of the two. This summer though? No idea what changed, but oh my gosh, Rose Noir has been my signature for the hot weather. It's spicy, a bit floral, but not overwhelmingly so, and settles so beautifully. I got so many compliments. The dry down is a bit woody, and bit musky, and just helps me smell clean and fresh all day at work, which is super important on 11-12 hour shifts where i'm in and out of the hot summer weather all day and in clinical settings. I had no complaints from people that it was overpowering or unpleasant, except for the first 30mins after I applied it, but even then it was just compliments saying I smelt really good. Once it settled, it was great. Interesting that there's no rose note listed, because I definitely smell rose, and I also smell mandarin rather than orange. Brains are fascinating. I love how we interpret scents. Something tells me this will be a favourite again next summer.

I got a sample of this for free and i immediately fell in love that I purchased a full bottle. I don't know why rose isnt listed in the notes but I could smell it just right, not too jammy not too fresh. This is a big deal considering that I hate rose fragrances (enough that i detest delina) and this is the only rose perfume I own. Also there is something so creamy in the dry down that makes this so milky floral to me. The longevity is also really good. I can't wait for this to macerate even longer, though I have been using it already and have no problems.

if i lost my entire perfume collection today this is the first one i'm repurchasing, not only am i obsessed with it but everyone that gets close or hugs me complements me. I sprayed some on a blanket before gifting it to my cousin and she messaged me a few days later asking me what perfume I used. I think rose noir is a personality trait of mine. If you love a heavy wintery perfume do not buy other than that it’s a safe blind buy. (I have the old bottle that looks like oud lavender but white with flowers, idk if the new packaging comes with new formula)

I looked up some of my favorite notes and fragrantica had this list. Finally found it and to my surprise it was $35. Seeing smells like Olympea almost scared me away because I find that perfume matronly but I'm happy I bit the bullet. I definitely love this scent. Doesn't smell like Olympea too my nose. Definitely a floral soft powerdery vanillic scent. Extremely feminine, long lasting, and projects well. You can wear this year round. It is a compliment getter. I get a compliment every time I wear it from both men and women. Great buy.

First of all, this smells absolutely nothing like Olympea or Olympea intense to my nose. I have them both and put them side by side to Rose noir and no resemblance. Rose Noir is a very luscious and feminine smelling fragrance. It has syrupy florals mixed with some sweet orange and a powdery undertone. It is very smooth, clean and sophisticated. It also smells very expensive. And omg it got me so many compliments, more than my $300 fragrances 😅 Definitely reccommend if you love syrupy sweet and creamy smooth florals

Wow! This is incredible and so well blended. At first it smelled a little like a Victoria secret spray but after a couple of minutes it begins to settle into the most wonderful, floral, powdery powerhouse. This is a beast perfume that lasts a really long time and smells so so elegant. To me, it doesn't smell like Olympea, which I'm very happy about. I purchased in Canada for about $45 cad, but it smells to me like a $300 perfume. Absolutely amazing!

Milky vanilla powder with a noticeable 'fuzz' at the edges that's both musky and a touch salty. The jasmine is much stronger in the opening, tapers off my skin in an hour. Delicious and very heady, projection is intense and lasts all day and then some. This is perfect for spring & autumn, can't be too hot or too cold. I think you can get away with this in winter days and summer nights as well. Very affordable and easily a 'love'.

sexy oriental elegance scent, its close to Olympia EDP but this one is lighter version. I get the most are sweet orange citrusy floral and salty scent, value for money, very nice packaging and lovely bottle shape, good sillage, performance and longevity, must have item, very affordable

Smells so fresh and clean! The scent perfectly encapsulates the feeling of being on a boat on a cool summer day floating in the ocean. It’s great for spring and I can see this being a banger for me in the summer! Glad I purchased.

This perfume is insanely gorgeous! It's clean, powdery, creamy, and feminine. The performance is ok, it could be worn in spring/summer both day and night as the woody notes aren't too prominent. So it's versatile and safe wear.

This is the top 2 ohh how much I loose this scent I can't explain! It's a dream in a bottle, it sweet but creamy ,its floral but sexy in the same time ,powdery but instead its butter cream with some rose jam and vanilla 😋

This is genuinely such a beautifully delicate rose fragrance. I’ve been on the hunt for rose scents that I actually like because usually I hate rose. This is definitely something I can see myself reaching for often

Im a man but i like the rose notes, so its great for rose note lovers, it can be make me feminine but i do not care about that. Its good fragrance with a good longevity

This needs to macerate a while to get the true essence of the scent. Very nice and sweet, expensive smelling perfume good for evenings out or date nights. 10/10

Love it! Got a lot of compliments. It's very powdery and elegant. Not powdery grandma. But I prefer this indoors instead of outdoors. Very long lasting too.

I don't get it why there's no rose notes in the list, but I can smell the rose. It is sweet rosy powdery scent. It's so addicting.

Smells abit darker than olivia by maison a. I like it more too. Salty and flowery. Rosy, but jammy - not bright and scratchy.

Can a guy pull this off? I just purchased this. I have several feminine ahmeds and I enjoy wearing them.

For me its more vanilla and sweet than powdery. Still gorgeous, luxury, fascinated.

This is not your average fruity floral or innocent non offensive fresh floral .. this is a sexy floral.. some people will not like this because it is quite strong with Jasmine, there is also something alongside the Jasmine that smells boozy in here it might be the orange that is coming off as overripe. There's also of course the sweetness of the vanilla and the powderiness and creaminess of sandalwood however not baby powder at all. And the Ambergris and sea notes giving it some saltiness that balances out the sweetness and business. I think it is very intoxicating in the right situation to feel and smell sensuous, this is the type of fragrance you wear when you are confident and sexy and also mature and alluring at the same time. I can't see someone very young like in this although I do think fragrance is ageless I think this requires an air of maturity. ... and probably too heady in other situations like in hot weather or just going about daily chores when you want to just feel light and fresh and clean and inoffensive. Rose noir would be too much. It took me awhile to appreciate and even review, Because I struggled to find the right situation to wear this one.. and to really appreciate it. I'm so used to fresh clean fragrances or fruity fragrances or just Gourmand fragrances, or light florals, and this one goes in a different direction from what I'm used to.. but for people who are used to strong florals this will probably seem innocuous. (It's not indolic at all which I'm grateful for because I can't stand indolic florals. So when people say it smells clean that's probably what they're referring to) I will disagree as someone who wears a lot of clean fragrances this isn't exactly one of them.. the overripe almost fermented smell of the fruit prevents it from being too clean. I'm giving it a 4 out of five just because for me it's not something I will pull for often however I've really started to appreciate her.

I'll preface my review by saying that I hardly receive compliments from strangers about my fragrances, although I've made it my business to smell good to feel good. This fragrance somehow elicits compliments repeatedly from both men and women. As the months have gone by, I've almost come to expect to hear someone say 'you smell really good Lottie,' anytime I have this on. Rose Noir is a loving cross between Paco Rabanne's Olympea and Olympea intense (both of which I adore, blossom slightly more). The star of the show is an elegant orange blossom note that does not appear to have been listed. I'd be hard-pressed to be convinced that it isn't there as I stick to orange blossom scented fabric conditioners for my sheets, such is my love for this white floral note. Vanilla and powdery notes fight for 2nd place dominance. Powdery notes hold the silver medal until the 1st hour mark when vanilla overpowers all other notes to claim gold. The orange blossom note does not persist for long, but it leaves an indelible mark on one's senses. Perhaps the most interesting note in this fragrance is ginger. I only ever catch whiffs here and there, but those whiffs do something incredible to one's olfactory senses. On clothing, Rose Noir is rich, powerful and intensely feminine. On skin, she is alluring and persistent. If you haven't already realised, the name of this fragrance is terribly misleading. There is absolutely no rose note in here. And there is most definitely nothing dark about this. One would have to get their nose checked if they sense 'rose accords' and dark nuances. That's all.

Very lovely scent. Definately reminds me of Olympea the O.G, just a little more vanilla and powdery and less salty. Certainly comparable enough to Olympea and costs significantly less outside of a sale situation. Not a love for me, but certainly a like. Lasts a good amount of time too, maybe 6 hours, and sillage is very pretty. Edit: Upon trying this for a week or so, I feel it's closer to Olympea Solar than the OG. The salt in the OG Olympea and the amber notes are just too prominent and long lasting and Solar has way less of any of that and more floral notes. Much more similar to Rose Noir. ❤️

Kind of what a flanker of Olympea should have been instead of the ones that were entirely different to the OG. A pleasant, ambery, bright , more floral version of Olympea. Good performance and an easy reach. If you really didn't like Olympea it's probably not worth trying this. If you love Olympea you should enjoy it. It has that same tang but it's not as salty. A more muted style. Not particularly powdery though. I agree, the sprayer is a bit iffy but the bottle is pretty and a nice shade of pale blush pink. A decent like and a good price.

i have the old bond no 9 looking bottle, i assume only the design has changed. i like it! definitely agree that it has a striking resemblance to olympea (especially in the drydown) and it can be pretty cloying if it's too hot outside or i overdo it. my bottle says it's 44% vol so keep in mind that it's very oily! gotta be careful with fabrics and spray a little farther away than usual even on skin. performance is great. if you like olympea and that type of sliiiiightly obnoxious sweet scent you're probably gonna like this.

I've got a decant of this and it smells like mid 2010's! As soon as I sprayed it, it reminded me of a scene of an all women's afternoon gathering that I have already attended! Or how my surroundings smelled like after sampling a few designer perfumes in the airport... It's very nostalgic in my opinion. It smells like a very good quality safe designer perfume. It's got great sillage and decent longevity. It's very good value for the money if you're looking for such a perfume. Way too generic for myself though...

To my nose this is a creamy rose version of Olympea. Close to the skin, lasts abt 2 hours with a faint dust rose smell. Later edit 10/11/2025: Still a creamy rose version of Olympea but not so close to the skin and the performance is a beeeast. 10-12 hours and the dust rose smell is gone. Love it.

First Impressions: (Discovery set) Note: I was smelling a lot of perfumes at once. Sorry couldn’t help myself lol. Edit 1: Ooo love at first sniff for me. Okay, this is beautiful. Edit 2: It’s okay definitely a good plumper dupe, but It’s not gonna be a signature scent for me.

Very floral, feminine smell. I think the jasmine is too much for me. I wore this and received lots of compliments from women, but men said they got headaches from this smell 😂 I gave this away to my mom because she loves floral and I dont think it is safe for office wear.

Now that I have 3 of Ahmed Al Magribi's fragrances, I am keen to try others in their line! This is beautiful, subtle, office-friendly and gets compliments too!

A light, powdery and creamy rose, super easy to wear for any occasion, although performance could be better. 7.5/10.

i dont know about top & middle, not quite impressive for me. but the dry down is heavenly.

First thought was cheap and generic. Full blast orange-musk room spray. I also caught whiffs of TMs womanity and cheap, raw sandalwood just lurking there in the background. I let it settle for a bit, (mind you, it evolves completely different on paper then on skin) and I get some olympea, I get the "sea notes" that I believe is also in womanity. I dont know, its not bad, I just feel like it's coming off as cheap room spray. It is affordable though, so it's a good option if you want olympea but you're on a budget. Edit: drydown is better but it's still a no for me. It smells like my aunties. Edit 2: OK, I've tried it now for the second time. I dont know why, but the perfumes that I tried few days ago smells better now. Is it because of that process of macerating that everyone talks about? Or the xanax I took last night that improved my mood today? Or that I'm having my period? LOL! So weird! But it does smell better now. But horrible lasting power.

This is a lasting scent with good projection and longetivity. It sticks to my clothes even till the next day. If you want a noticeable fragrant you can definitely blindbuy this one! To me it is a sharp floral and fresh sea notes fragrance. I can smell the powdery and orangey smell as a dry down. I wouldn't wear this to office though especially on a busy day as it comes off quite sharp to my nose and can be quite cloying for an office setting. I got a 5ml decant. Will i purchase the full bottle? Maybe yes but it's not going to be a daily scent for me. I think i'll definitely wear it for outings or events as its a noticeable floral scent!

I’ve tried quite a few Ahmed Al Maghribi perfumes and they all do the same thing (which I can’t really stand as a scent). No matter what perfume they are duping and no matter the DNA, after a while the musk turns animalic on me and I get the smell of oud, which is a scent I just can’t stand, it gives me a headache. This is no exception. It starts with an aquatic rose and it smells lovely for an hour and then it becomes very “middle eastern oud-y”. It’s unfortunate because all of the Ahmed Al M. perfumes have exceptional longevity but I just can’t handle animalic musk scent.

Surprised rose isn’t in the notes because this definitely is a rose scent. Tested, did not buy. Nice bottle. This is pure rose. Not dry, dusty, powdery, airy, fresh, after the rain or jammy rose. Just straight up rose with sweetness to give it depth. Linear, nothing wrong with that. Very oily when sprayed onto the skin, just sat there and didn’t absorb. Had to rub it in which is fine but can see this staining clothes, so only tested on skin, would usually test on clothes to test longevity. This is just ok to me. 🌹

It is a very woman-ly fragrance. For me it smells oceanic, salty but not too much, ozonic, blue, with jammy rose. I cant smell the powdery notes, maybe this batch i got put more oceanic notes than the powder. It has hint of sweetness. If I could describe, this fragrance reminds me of a woman 20s that is feminine yet classy but also cheerful. Its a perfect fragrance for date, for special event, or professional. 8/10 recommended!

The scent profile listed is very misleading. If you are looking for a soft elegant powdery scent it is NOT this perfume. The first hour of wear is incredibly strong smelling citrusy and woodsy. It is a more mature scent and I personally don’t smell the powdery and vanilla notes until it’s been on my skin for over 4 hours

Orange and jasmine, inoffensive, really weak. Nothing special or groundbreaking. A big miss for me!

Received this today. The gold sticker label (mine was slightly crooked) brings the aesthetic down. Opens with a jammy fruity bang. I picked up berries and orange. According to some online sources, Sicilian (blood) oranges have a distinct sweet and refreshing flavour, often with hints of raspberry or strawberry. About 15 minutes later, the jammy fruity opening is tempered by the powdery base. The jasmine also begins to make itself known. I even get a hint of dark chocolate. Edit: 8/7/25 Over time, as I've explored more perfumes, I've come to see this as lacking depth and complexity. It's an okay 'grab and go' fragrance for those who like fruity florals. Something a bit sharp and headache-inducing about it to me now.

There is no powdery note, just jasmin and orange. I blind bought this perfume because I love powdery notes, but the discriptions were misleading.

Fruity , Floral profile Can't exactly detect notes Disagree for the accord they saying " Powdery" This is not airy enough, It's pretty thick • synthetic • heavy If this scent could be airy enough like Rasasi' Junoon Satin Which share similar profile Then experience could be better Scent is nice though, But product is not As this one do smell Eggy over skin Or Like Fishes in market i was expecting better. 6/10. After seeing its reviews on social media and notes, I thought of to buy it. And yes a big disappointment i received. It's very synthetic Yukk fragrance I ever had.

firstly, beautiful bottle. that blush tone, that rose like swirls on the ceramic bottle. ahhh. One of my favourites so far. sweet but creamy ,its floral but sexy - its like dust rose sprinkled over vanilla. I like how it started with a bang of jasmine and orange, and then it dries down to this powdery, sweet and salty rose dust. to me, this smells very sexy, feminine and matured. do not overspray; received two compliments in one day the first time I wore this out; but i made a mistake of over spraying it and it gave me a 2 hour headache until it dissipated a little. to me, this smells very sexy, feminine and matured, a safe blind buy but only if you like a powdery dry down scent.

Not gonna lie, I don’t know about this one... it kinda reminds me of those cheap floral perfumes I used to buy back then. Except this one has a buttery touch that makes it less sharp than those. Still, there’s a sharpness that throws me off, so it’s not really my vibe. Funny thing is, over here it’s one of the best-sellers. Everyone’s been asking about it, so I just followed the hype. I wouldn’t call it a failed blind buy though, I’ll let it sit for a bit and see if it grows on me before I review it again. Update: Uh, I don’t think I can. It’s not really about tolerance, I just don’t quite enjoy it. The scent comes across as a bit cheap to me.

A nice, feminine, sweet scent. I was given a sample, which I gave to my partner. It was £14.99 for a full bottle at the time. My partner wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it at first but every time she wore it, I instantly like it. I went to buy her a full bottle and the price has rocketed stupidly. For that reason only, I will never buy a full bottle. I don't even know where this fragrance has been getting hyped so much. The hype and price increases need to stop!

I have a sample of this scent. This is a very sweet jasmine, neroli, musk, salty vanilla scent that seems to be inspired on Olympea, and also reminds me of Girl of now by Elie Saab. Very potent, it projects like a beast, can fill a room with scent. No Oud here. Unfortunately this scent is very cloying and has given me a pounding storm like headache. I still want to explore more scents from this brand though.

Gave to my daughter in law as it wasn’t my usual type of scent profile. Very much like olympea only stronger. On her first wearing she told me she was inundated with compliments so at least it’s a win for her. Super affordable aswell. Edit. Had to repurchase for myself again after constantly smelling on my son’s girlfriend. No brainer for the price point, scent profile and performance.
