Parfum de Peau

Perfumer: Maia Lernout / Takasago Although I have edited my fragrance collection recently, I will always keep a bottle of this. To me, it understated perfection. Happy it’s finally been added to the database here. So, what’s this thing like? A flash of freesia & almond in the top notes, along with mock orange (smells like a cross between orange blossom and gardenia but lighter and less sweet, floral and without the mushroom angle of the latter), a few blades of vetiver grass, a melange of soft, sensual white musks, resting on a bed of cedar, amber [ambroxan] and sandalwood. In the end, it’s one of those ‘your skin but better’ scent profiles, executed in a way I haven’t encountered before. While I have been complimented on it a few times, no one has ever asked what perfume I’m wearing, they just say that I smell really good. I am in no way affiliated with the company (see my profile and reviews if you have doubts), but allow me to say this: The best way to experience this scent is to pair the eau de parfum with the brand’s oil version of the same scent. Now, my unofficial campaign to get them to make 1) a 100 mL bottle, 2) a body cream and 3), a shower gel can continue! They really need to get on that right away! Obsessed. 😂

Such a nice personal scent. It has some sweetness to it, but for me the musk leads this perfume. I use both the oil and spray and it is such a comforting scent! I would love a 100 ml bottle. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear this, even from people who are not into perfume.

Oh finally on Fragrantica! My signature scent. A creamy, balanced fragrance. Almond, musk. I would call this a skin scent. Get compliments daily. Great value for your money and this is made with no harsh ingredients!
