Belle Rose

What a pleasant surprise - a very well balanced fragrance with a bit of a misleading name, since it is more a rosey Musk rather than musky rose. It is powdery, but not in the popular (Teint de neige or Ombre rose) kind of scent. The rose here enhances the musk that enhances the heliotrope. The woody & spicy notes are subtle but present throughout. Good silage and longevity, very feminine, classy and great value.

Here are the official notes from the website: Top notes: Calabrian bergamot. Heart notes: Damascena rose from Bulgaria. Base notes: vanilla, heliotrope. I agree with the previous review. Although musk is not listed, it is a musky-powdery-rose fragrance. I dislike majority of musky fragrances. What it reminds me of is Fragonard's Rose the Mai mixed with some heliotrope and the scent of a Nivea creme. The heliotrope note with some slight spicy element becomes stronger with time on me. It smells clean and simple. Moderate longevity and sillage on me. I do have other favourites in the clean-powdery category, but overall, it's a pleasant, non-offensive perfume. I dislike majority of musky fragrances. I find this one pleasant, although sometimes too sharp with musk on me. I don't think I would buy it again, when the bottle is empty. I kind of feel like this would be something that I could spray my linens or guest towels with. I blind bought it because I collect natural perfumes without allergens and toxic ingredients. However, I hope to find a better balanced one with this scent profile.
