Fleur de Paris

This is really good and it stays out of stock, it is in stock now and I got it immediately. It is sooo good and long lasting and it smells 90% like the original but good on its own. I have the original Valaya and I love it and will honestly repurchase both because they are both good . I definitely recommend this.

This Fleur screams of lemon cleaner and then somewhat settles down but gets nowhere near Valaya. Valaya is brighter, fresher and has a prominent sweetness with a touch of that white peach throughout the middle that lasts. Between Delilah Blanc (very close to the OG but softer), Mystique Bouquet (fruitier but gorgeous), and Fleur Narcotique and it's dupe Flower Addiction, I would put Fleur de Paris at the bottom of my list in terms of scent alone. Projection and longevity are terrible, even after letting it rest and spraying on ultra-moisturized skin. It's gone within 3-45 mins compared the the OG, that I can still smell 6 hours later--and this is after spraying twice as many sprays of Fleur de Paris. Then, to top it off, it's the priciest of the dupes too and no one decants it. Do yourself a favor and just skip it.

This ‘inspired by’ perfume is the most similar to Parfums de Marly Valaya to my nose. I have the OG Valaya as well as Mystique Bouquet and Lattafa Delilah Blanc. What none of the “inspired by” perfumes have—and the thing that is the most distinctive about Valaya to me — is the spicy woody musky dry down. I believe that is mostly due to Akigalawood, which is proprietary to Givaudan. Nonetheless I find this to be a gorgeous perfume and I like to sub it in when I don’t want to use my precious Valaya. Very well done.
