I personally love this parfum. The violet is prevalent, and the "citruses" no doubt include bermagot because I get that on top as well. Underneath is the wood and faintly the musk, I do not see black pepper listed, but I get that, even more so at dry down. Do not purchase based on the patchouli because it's light if any. Longevity= not quite to perfume standards, but better than your average mall EDT I guess I recommend, and if you appreciate L'Homme Libre, you will enjoy this.

While the claim that Carbon is an Edp seems fanciful to me, that doesn't in anyway detract from the fact that it is, considering it is only £15 for 100ml, a very decent, mainstream scent.

This one smell like Le Sel Issey Miyake in a weird way. Very nice scent

One of the best Bitter perfumes ever.

It's like sniffing a manly bouquet of manly flowers... no idea that was ever possible. And yet, here I stand with the evidence. Indeed it has strong floral chords, but the musk and woodsy notes reinforce the masculine essence, and the clove enhances the strength. Very nice scent. Peaceful and thought-provoking. It creates an air of confidence while keeping it in check with some humble element properties. I love it's uniqueness and have no regrets! Longevity is average. Lingering for a few hours strongly. Projects comfortably within my personal space. Not too strong, but intriguing to anyone who finds themselves close to me. Overall rating: 8.1/10

It took me back to my childhood.. Back then we had a wooden cupboard which was used rarely, Grandma used to keep all new/unopened Gulf stuffs (Indians can relate) and lock it. When she opens it in the rare occasion I get the same aroma of its dry down.. Beautiful !

It smells unisex to me. Girls can pull this one easily. Performance is an issue 1 hour of mild projection and 3 hours of longevity. It is good for summer day time. It's Citrus heavy and there are some spices. 6/10

A really nice herbal/fruity/woody juice. Similar to Dunhill Fresh. No problem with staying power or projection. Carbon is also great value. It's a good fragrance for Summertime.

A fresh opening that changes into spicy, herbal and dark in sometime. Easy to wear. Smells okay IMO, nothing great. Performance is below par. You can skip this one.

A common day time fragrance for late spring and summer, not a new smell for me. Generic, pleasant with moderate performance. A safe choice.

I just want to say that this is a beautiful perfume for an extremely low price. Wonderful and extremely light and fresh kind of scent.

Blind buy out of curiosity. It smells like a cheaper version of Jo Malone Wood Sage and Sea Salt. Perfect for everday perfume.

It was smelling great when i first sniffed it from an airconditioned atmosphere.Longitivity and projection is very poor.Lanvender note is dominant.Not a crowd pleaser.

Anybody with a little knowledge on the history of perfumery will tell you that the Orient indulged in this art even as most of the western civilisation then, lived in caves and used to hunt for food. Even now, many of the ingredients used in perfumes are sourced from the East. As human beings we should aspire for lofty thoughts and actions, as is the wont of an evolved being. You, my friend, are clearly handicapped by your limited mental faculties which are then maginified by your base thoughts. I hope that for your own sake, you are a young guy or a teenager, even, & that maybe education & knowledge & the impending years will lend you some wisdom and temper your thoughts. My fiancé loves this perfume. Living in Bahrain at this time I am able to purchase it for him and the price is relatively inexpensive. It could be bought online from Ajmal Perfumery as well. It smells wonderful on him. Some people said it's very strong...I don't think so. On my fiancé it's very soft and provocative. In my opinion much nicer than so many colognes that smell like Axe and Irish spring soap. I like those smells too, but I guess my nose it's not keen to Men's cologne because most do not impress me and so many seem to smell the same. Ajmal Carbon stands out that it's beautiful and masculine.

I blind bought this and at first i didn't like it as much. Am not a floral scents kinda guy,but i have recently been gravitating more towards it,the violet/floral notes are very prevalent, i also get citrus from the beginning and the musky/woody dry down is fine. Doesn't smell cheap at all,i get around 6-8 hrs with 2-3 hrs projection. This is a safe every day/office type of scent. It's cheap so i don't mind going 4/5 sprays on this. This will not turn heads but you will enjoy this on those odd days

Carbon opens with a strong citrus - woody note then shortly begins to transform to where it smells a little like spiced cake or gingerbread cookies (from the cloves I guess). It dries down to a bit more than a skin scent with citrusy spicy and woody notes. It opens and remains quite dry, and not really sweet at all. I can recommend it, however it is not the most unique scent out there, but certainly is a safe blind buy worth adding to the collection and it will definitely not offend anyone.

this one is definitely an interesting scent. no question. i am most certainly intrigued by this one. there's some feminine qualities (whatever that means!) in it, but also some solid, harsh and lovable elements. i can't put my finger on this, really i can't. i'll need to spray this as an 'all over' kinda scent because i am REALLY intrigued. i really don't know (a) if i like this, and (b) if i want to get a full bottle of this...back to the lab for more research...

This smells like something nice has been collecting dust for several months. Thr ingredients must be low quality because this scents seems to try hard to pretend to be something it surely is not, it annoys more than it pleases. In case of this fragrance the price suits the quality. I threw this bastard away.

If it were music, it wouldn't be a masterpiece, but a very well executed piece...the start is all lavender and violet halfway through you can see wood and the finish (after a good duration of about 7 hours) a nice warm and welcoming moss. Ajmal does not deny it, valid product 8/10 -- 8/10

@lovesupreme should better be titled as @comlexsupreme. We are at a forum where we need to express our liking or disliking about the product and not to discriminate it upon geographic belongings. I dont think you understand where you are.

I beg to differ. I sell Ajmal perfumes in South Africa and Carbon is by far our best seller.Its an amazing perfume. Judging from our sales and customer response I can tell you that Ajmal perfumes are just as good as western brands.

Did a side by side test and it does not smell like Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme, unfortunately. It is pleasant though, and familiar although I can't pinpoint exactly what it smells like.

Nice and long lasting, seems like it is from the dunhill family. Very citrusy and fresh, has some spice to it once it dries down. Good summer scent, and very rwasonably priced.

I think it's somehow similar to Sun Java by Frank Oliver (not sure). Great manly scent, decent longevity and sillage for the price.
