Hayba

My nose is sensitive to amber, so on first spray, that's the ringleader. That blast of Amber isn't a jab, more like a cross in a boxing bout. This is a resinous amber. So the woods feel fiery. The rose is spicy. This is a first impression, so I'll need to return on the drydown. But I'm not getting the other notes atm. No cypriol stands out alone, but maybe it's contributing to this greenness with the patchouli. Normally I'll throw amber forward fragrances in the bind, but I'm looking forward to sitting with this and experiencing the journey it takes me on. I'll return in about 2 to 4 weeks. So far, its good. Hopefully the woodiness punches through as that sandalwood note is what initially attracted me to this fragrance. 1/22/2026: This is an amazing fragrance for those that like woody scents. The amber punch in the beginning has finally started to smoothen out and blending perfectly with the rose and woods. The projection is about an arms length. Not beast mode, but I get about 8 hours out of this. If this fragrance is similar to Amber Santal, then this is a much cheaper option. Definitely a gem of a find!

Nutty Rose with very oriental sandalwood. It reminds me of a beautiful, inviolable, easy To wear, just a tiny, little dirty"burnt rubber" style Oud. Perhaps Sahrami with Cypriol Oil supports this impression, although agar wood is not mentioned in the notes. I distinguish here a really interesting green, coniferous, medicinal spiral and a lot of sweetness. This dehydration is almost honeyd. Like spruce syrup. I think this smells like some of the more expensive unisex oud fragrances and this performance is just great. I really recommend this to anyone who is interested in "real" oriental style, but may not dare to try...I just love this new beauty from Ajmal💖.

I love this fragrance. Bought it as my first Middle Eastern style, and was pleasantly surprised by how opulent and high-end it smells despite the generous price - I got 100 ml for £15. The saffron is gorgeous. The opening is very spicy and warm, with a slightly acidic touch to it. Dries down to soft spices after about half an hour. Performance seems to be pretty great - after having a shower and sleeping for 10 hours I could still smell it on my forearm. The packaging and bottle are also nice and premium, with a crystalline bottle and a satisfying cap. Probably leans a bit masculine but could go either way really.

This is just gorgeous. Beautiful rose, saffron, nutmeg and a funky sandalwood at the base. There's more woodiness, florals and kind of a black musk. Pretty linear but performance is great. It can works all year around easily. It has the same profile than Ajmal's Amber Santal, however I think Hayba is way more interesting and performs better. As a someone said earlier, a truly oriental scent. Love it!

After 2 years its stronger and I can smell the rose more prominently. It's one of the best oud and rose cheapies with some Amber. Similar to their expensive Amber Santal.

Its Nice Woody Rose Fragrance from Ajmal House

Smooth Saffron I am positively surprised with this parfum. It starts very familiar Middle Eastern combination of saffron, nutmeg and bit of rose. Top notes are very similar to lattafas Qaeed, Oud for glory...but here it is less synthetic. Parfum gets little sweeter and start to smell patchouli. Base is dry woods mainly sandalwood and musk. I would say dominants notes are saffron and sandalwood. This parfum doesn’t get heavy but it is always present .it doesn’t have leather or oud . So it is great if you are working with other people or in office environment. I would say this is a mid season parfum. Overall it is more minimalistic, more airy spicy woody Middle Eastern parfum. It is very smooth , i don’t get anything disturbing or plasticky accords, like on other cheap parfums. Quality seems better, even though this is also cheap parfum ( i paid 30 euros) . I do recommend to people who likes spicy parfums with Middle Eastern vibe. It last long 10hr , projection is moderate.

I've never smelled the difference in top, heart and base as perceptibly as with Ajmal Hayba. It transforms throughout its life noticeably but smoothly. It stays whole or "unbroken" from the opening to the end. It's woody from the beginning, kind of peanutty, kind of dry, I don't get any of that Lily-of-the-Valley. Nagarmotha starts to peek its head and it supports the patchouli in the middle masterfully. I really don't like nagarmotha but this time it's done right, even to my nose! In the end, 24 hours later, my skin smells just pure sandalwood/cedar. I'd say more like sandalwood. It's thick, creamy and luxurious. Hayba doesn't exaggerate any of its bits and there's no sharp corners. It smells realistic, not at all cheap and still... the price for 80 ml bottle is 25 EUR. Overall the feel of this fragrance is earthy and dry, with beautiful woods. Great work, Ajmal. Great work!

Hayba is well-blended and it performs very well, however, this is the stereotypical 'Middle-Eastern' scent to my nose with that 'caravan-smelling' sandalwood, thick rose, and semi-bitter saffron. It is beautiful in itself, but I just can't find its place in my life, it feels more like a culturally inappropriate costume than an atmosphere.

easy to wear oud fragrance. Amber, oud and saffron heavy. Easy to wear on the daily. performance is mid.

Typical Middle Eastern perfume (in a good way) - reminds me of Qaa'ed Lattafa.

It is quite weak for a middle eastern fragrance. It is a mild creamy sandalwood. I smelled no rose, no patchouli, no amber, just mild sandalwood. Even Oud Mood was more complex. It could just be my skin chemistry. I was so excited for this one but i was disappointed. Its not very lasting at all either. I like fragrance to last more.

Smooth Santal Rose. Perfumes usually get sandalwood wrong but I'm delighted with this blend. Rose and Sandalwood are the main players with some sweet patchouli, nagarmotha, and nutty woodiness in the background. It is not the most opulent rose but it is really blended well with the sandalwood, this is so much better than lots and lots of generic and poorly blended designer fragrances, leaning slightly towards being feminine but not girly.

I have a love hate relationship with this. I first fell in love with this when I first smelled it in Dubai. I then got bored and hated this as time went on. Right now, I am in good terms with this. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t smelled this in a while? The saffron is too overpowering and I don’t smell any of the Lilly of the Valley or Rose. The projection is satisfactory. Longevity is good. Edit: This does not smell anything like Penhaligon’s Halfeti (I have it). The closest this gets to Penhaligon’s is either Babylon or Cairo.
