I have been pleasantly surprised by Ajmal twice now. I had multiple samples of this and decided to give it a try...WOW! This reminds me of Sauvage, it is not the same by any means but certainly eludes to it. Very uplifting, with a creamy smooth citrus note. It lacks the spicy notes of Sauvage, but is in that mass appealing range that makes it a great dumb reach. This performs well, and projects decently for a good three hours. This is a great bang for the buck, easy reach. Suitable for any age and any season, daytime wear excluding cold winter climates. I highly recommend this as an alternative to Sauvage, for one it will allow you to stand out from the countless others wearing the popular Dior option, and also as a cost effective approach to just smell good. I don’t believe this was intended as a clone to any other fragrance on the market, a real surprise that performs well. Thanks Again

What a beautiful, clean, and inoffensive scent! This was my first foray into the Ajmal house and honestly I couldn’t be happier. It’s got this clean citrus smell in the opening and what seems to be like a creaminess to it. For what I paid (25$) for a 100ml bottle, thisnscent is criminally underrated. I feel like I got my money’s worth and more. To my nose this was such a pleasant surprise I’m easily give this one an 7/10 overall. I’d rate it higher if the performance lasted longer than a couple of hours on my skin. Do not hesitate buying this one at all, especially just with the smell alone.

Sure, it might start out with a kind of citrus vibe..but then so does aventus, MB Explorer and many others. The dry down is where this shines. It is soft and almost powdery. Slightly woody and mellow. When I first got this I wasn't impressed. Months later I gave it another shot and then it hooked me. I realized just how long it lasted and how I was nose blinded at first to it. It is quite an amazing scent. Almost reminds me of my hidden gem, Korloff No Ordinary Man. This feels very rich and high class. It has that certain something that is very addicting.

Very clean vibe, like soap, but in a good way, I paid for 25$ for 100ml, an absolute bargain. It reminds me of Sauvage, but just a little bit. Also safe and worth blind buy. You will not offend anyone with this scent, but the clean vibe gives no character, somehow ended up with my dumb reach frag category. Do I appreciate it? -Absolutely. Versatility? -Not formal, not special events, not for clubbing. Longevity? -Above average - 6 to 7 hours. Projection? -Average to lower.

Always looking for clean fragrances. Ajmal Mystery is just that ultra soft powdery clean scent. Smells like very expensive soap. A fantastic cheapie can be used year around for any occasion plus it last for hours. blind buy worthy

I like this scent with powerfull of patchouli with citrus and spicy with cedar scent I've had compliments and no one has ever said that it smells masculine on my skin. It smells great for both men and women.

Side by side, I get a soapy version of Montblanc Legend. This has about 7 hours longevity.

Very similar to F Black by Ferragamo

This is my first impression from Black Onyx by Ajmal which is not at the database. This is a very-very green and bitter long lasting scent with heavy sillage and projection for the first 1.5-2 hours, suitable for year round use. Great versatility despite its strenght. Dominant notes are strong galbanum (I love it), strong hyacinth, very mild bergamot which has mostly aroma and not much sourness, white musk at the dry down, something fruity at the background which is very-very faint but it's a nice twist, vetiver, mild cedar, traces of myrrh and intensive geranium. At the late dry down geranium gets stronger. It's a very manly scent which is a rarity nowadays. After 4 hours it feels like a cousin of Chanel Platinum but it's not a clone of it. Before it dies I get vetiver & musk. In a very hot summer day lives for about 6-6.5 hours before it completely vanishes. I must try it with cooler weather because I think it will feel better. This is not for very high temperatures but it doesn't become cloying. This is not a new smell for me but it's very smooth and very well blended. This is why I'm thinking of buying it. It stands out from the rest. And the smell is quite uncommon for the average nose. You can't find easily so bitter/green scent on regular perfume houses. It has 72.25% alcohol, 12.75% water and 15% oil perfume with high percentage in natural ingredients as I've been told by the SA. If you love galbanum give it a try. I received a sample of this in a FragranceX order recently. I just threw it in at checkout with my full bottle orders just out of curiosity as to how it might smell. I have tried Amber Wood and I was pretty impressed. Ajmal couldn't possibly have another solid fragrance.......could they!?! Yes... they did! It is super fresh and soapy. Starts off with a well rounded citrus. As it dries the thyme comes in to play oh so subtly. It seems to stay throughout the fragrance and slowly fades into the dry down while still contributing to the overall scent. At the full dry down the cedar and patchouli blend so nicely with the remaining thyme to give this soft, powdery, smooth (and dare I say.... mysterious) base. Just a clean and pleasant scent. Inoffensive and office friendly. Very nice from Ajmal. I will probably be buying a full bottle. At the price point, it is a dumb reach fragrance. My expectations have been exceeded. 7/10

This is a nice, versatile, unisex, light warm weather daytime fragrance with dominant citruses and thyme on a woody cedar base with an underlining spicy soapness/clean vibe, same as in Eisenberg Diabolique Homme for example, but slightly powdery and green. At the opening thyme along with mild green patchouli are the main players. As time passes it becomes smoother and more pleasant. Sillage is average-moderate. Longevity is high-moderate. It is completely different from Dior Sauvage. The similarity is about 15-20% and exist only at the opening. The drydown is completely different with a dominant sub-sweet, slightly soapy/creamy/floral vibe, completely unisex. This is not an ambroxan bomb and nobody will feel Sauvage in the air.

I got a sample vial with a recent order. I like the scent. I really do! I think, for the price, it's very nice! It's fairly linear, but that opening is lovely. It's a mature masculine scent. My issue is the longevity just doesn't cut it on my skin. No I'm not going anosmic to it. It just didn't last for me at all. I sprayed it before work and about two hours later, it was down a very intimate skin scent, and that was spraying about 8 sprays. I guess the good news is a bottle is inexpensive, so you can keep one at home, one in the car, one in the gym bag, etc. Don't trust the bots who say it lasts all day 🤣

Soap soap soap soap. That's what this fragrance is about. It's cleaner than clean. Unisex without a doubt. Good performance considering the note breakdown. It's actually quite strong in the first hour or so of application, but you're still not going to offend anyone if you overspray. The citruses are not sharp and are balanced very well by the patchouli in the drydown. To me, this is not an exciting fragrance. It's definitely not what I would consider a "signature scent." But it's just so freaking soft and clean, it's impossible to dislike. Definitely blind buy safe.

This is a really interesting scent! It's definitely got that citrusy freshness right off the bat, but then it dries down to this warm, woody aroma with a hint of spice. Lasts all day too - impressed!

If Abercrombie and fitch fierce and sauvage edt had a baby this would be it! Safe blind but if you like those two fragrances

Bought this directly from Ajmal a year ago and it has zero longevity. If you bathed in it you may get two hours tops. With a normal 2-3 sprays it lasts about 30-45 minutes. As for the scent it starts out heavily synthetic with a harsh chemical odor. After the industrial cleaner smell fades it's a skin scent similar to the reformulated CK Obsession for women with a touch of cedar and some warm "old lady perfume" notes. The dry down skin scent is passable but this is a serious waste of money when far better fragrances are around the same price or less.

No. Not a clone but oh so reminiscent of everything sweet-aquatic: VDB and original Wanted, alas discernibly lower quality and weak projection. Has that sweetness the way Mandarina Duck does with their citric accords. Definitely interchangeable with many of the usual suspects but if not spending over $30 is your aim you be advised to stick to ANY offering from Náutica and the like. Strange to be named Mystery for such an obvious and generic scent. UPDATE: yes, Mandarina Duck Black, 80-90%. But weaker than MD.

Powdery, soapy, metalic patchouli & wood...a little bit of citrus in the opening smells a little bit similar to coach platinum. Such a strange fragrance that smells unlike anything else and really unique, but very challenging. The weird thing is the first time I smelled it I thought it was like a more metallic/powdery version of the abercrombie & fitch DNA but now smelling it I think it leans more towards coach platinum & mont blanc legend but still manages to be it's own fragrance not a clone of anything

In the middle of summers, it is quite a suitable fragrance. I am surprised that some of us are not happy with the longevity of it. I am sure you could have the bad batch or you are nose blind after an hour n so. I can clearly detect it even after 6 hours of wearing. for projection, it is light in nature but still gives a good projection for the first 1 hour and so.
