Qafiya 4

What a beautiful surprise! My uncle got me this perfume as a gift from Abu Dhabi and I love it! It opens quite spicy and fruity, but after a few minutes it turns into a really soft and elegant leathery scent. It reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, but softer and less "aggressive". Very elegant and unisex! My friends loves it!

I’m pretty sure my samples of Qafiya 04 and Qafiya Sport are wrongly labelled (mixed up). Judging by the fruitiness, this has to be the real 04. It starts with a nasty ashy smoke that quickly dissipates. Then it develops a synthetic fruity sweetness (like Middle Eastern Haribo) which I’m not keen on. Luckily, the sweet fruit disaster softens and it gets more spicy and aromatic. I wore it through the night as I slept, and was aware of a beautiful spicy, aromatic and airy scent. In the morning (about 8/9 hours later) I smelt my wrist to discover a very nice dry-down. I was so pleased, that I sprayed it again, but was instantly reminded of the disgusting ashy smoke and synthetic Haribo sweetness from the opening. I respect how long it lasts, but a great dry-down is not worth suffering the 2/3 hour bad opening. It’s quite nice, just not as good as 01, 02 or Year of Zayed special edition. 03 is still an unsniffed mystery to me. 04 comes in at 4th best and the Sport edition is my least favourite.

Did the worst decision of blind buying this 😢. I got little to no leather or musky notes, but from an amateur's POV, it's mostly just an unexplainable concoction of a bunch of harsh and bitter floral and woody notes that fade in after 15-20 minutes on my skin. However, the opening has sweeter fruity, floral notes, which also doesn't match my taste. Some individuals may like it though!

A perfume that blends modernity intertwined with traditional notes, the fragrance features intense woody, fruity and spicy notes with an opening of wonderful frankincense at the center of this magic that persists throughout evolution. And playfully introducing a binding wrapped in smoked ‘oud and guaiac woods; the amber, animalic musk and leather are there behind the perfume supporting the composition and leaving the fragrance as a whole with a remarkable mark, which is classic, yet modern. An oriental scent amber woody spicy incensed slightly fruity and softly leathery. Very arabesque, but soft and versatile, and can be used all year round. Delicious Perfume, Great Performance, Excellent Value for Money!

Agree with Emma on the smokyness, which I am not loving here. Not sure it goes well with a plush fruity musk. The mild oud too, although I guess this makes it more oriental. It is nice overall, once the smoky ashy goes away, a very oriental take on a fruity musk. Leather not super prominent, but I am getting a mildly rubbery feel which may be it, or the olibanum. Very unique, more masculine than femme imo.

A lighter less spicy version of Qafiya 2 thanks to the fruity notes good longevity and projection 8/10
