Sacrifice for Her

In love with this fragrance. If it lasted longer I would wear it all day every day. I have to drown myself for it to stick around for a few hours so I just can't afford to always smell like this. I have smelled Alien and there is similarity, but Alien is underwhelming to me compared to this scent. The opening is out of this world, it smells like boozy grapes from an alien planet. I wish that would stick around, but the dry down with the jasmine is also super lovely. I was first turned on to this type of white floral/jasminey type scent when I picked up a bottle of Aura of a Woman by Jean Rish for cheap at a Marshalls. I think it was supposed to be a cheap dupe for Alien which I had never smelled at that time. Aura of a Woman is just like this except sweeter, that boozy grape is more sugary and sticks around longer, although the lasting power of that one overall is weaker than Sacrifice. I'm super bummed that I haven't been able to find Aura of a Woman anywhere since then and my bottle is almost gone. Just need to find something sweet and grapey to pair with Sacrifice and I'll be good to good. If anyone can recommend anything like that please let me know. Back to Sacrifice, this is a love love love for me, would buy gallons of this thing and bathe in it if I could afford it.

If like me you love the jasmine note but have been an Alien anti-fan because you found the perfume much too indolic, intense and headache-inducing, then folks, Ajmal's Sacrifice for her, is for you. Here there is balance and airiness. Ajmal's perfumers knew how listen to Alien naysayers in order to fix the indolic problem at a high standard. The addition of the water note lightens the expression of jasmine, giving it a sort of happy airiness and the vanilla note lengthens the dry down on clothing, turning it warm and cosy, and if anything- more feminine. I am decidedly in love! It lasts for days on end on thick fabrics and all through the workday on my clothing. I've already put a back-up bottle in my online cart because I can't do without this jasmine-vanilla wonder this autumn/ winter, and my current bottle is quickly depleting. Layering this fragrance with others has proved impossible, it overwhelms everything until it dries down hours later.

I started my perfume journey this year and really wanted to buy alien but can't bring myself to pay over 100$ for a fragrance. I saw the similarities of Sacrifice on this site and ordered a sample of Alien and a 50ml bottle of Sacrifice for 27$ so I could try them both. I sprayed the entire sample of Alien on one hand and 2 sprays of Sacrifice on the other hand. They both opened the same crazy loud jasmine rush then both dried to 95% the same beautiful deep rich scent!! With Alien I could detect some of the notes separately and Sacrifice is more rounded and smooth but that's it... they both performed for 10 hours and still detectable (on skin) after 12 hours! I am so happy to find Sacrifice at an amazing price and I love the purple bottle! I will be buying a backup forsure : )

I could never wear Alien because of the sheer power of the scent, it was simply way too strong for me, so I tried this one and I am not disappointed, the jasmin in this is exactly of the same kind as in original Alien, not a realistic jasmin nor an indolic one, but simply a futuristic jasmin, a jasmin from another planet. I suspect very strongly it actually might be hedione and not jasmin essence, but if it is, they masterfully blended it with other white florals without any of the other notes becoming too overpowering. Wonderful special occasion scent, for me more night appropriate. Great projection and sillage, amazing for the price point. I will definitely try the oil version this winter.
