Picked this up based upon Cuba Knows & TLTG reviews, and man oh man, this is a great frag. This without a question sits in the Oud For Greatness space, but it evolves with time. The performance on this is nuclear, and I can smell it on my clothes after 2 days, and there is no harshness or alcohol to it, as it's very well blended. I cannot speak to the Haltane comparison, but I find this very pleasant to wear in the evening. If you're going to rock this in the office, go easy on the trigger. Picked mine up for $35 on EBay, which seems really cheap for such a great frag. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐☆☆ (8/10)

Now this probably sounds crazy, but to my nose it starts off with the top of the fragrance closely resembling Oud for Greatness with soft, clean oud (yes- it’s not in the notes) and musks for roughly 20 minutes and then quickly turns into a quasi Bvlgari Tygar emphasized with a light hint of oud and dark soft patchouli. It’s absolutely unique and worth the $35. Also a great frag for someone who’s thinking about exploring oud. Definitely a top 10 fragrance from Ajmal and hidden gem that doesn’t get enough attention in the west. 9.5/10

Got this as a sample and immediately had to purchase it. It smells incredible. I have been looking for a smell like this. It is dark, yet sweet, and also powdery without being cloying or annoying. If you want to smell expensive, this is it, at an affordable price.

This one seems to be under the radar but it smells FANTASTIC to my nose. One of those where as soon as I smelt it, I wanted to buy a back up bottle right away. Jomashop has them for 60USD others try to sell it for 150USD.

This will be right up your alley (no pun intended), if you're into scents like Initio OFG, Haltane, Gisada Ambassador, Sauvage Elixir, Roja Apex, etc. Good performance too. Smelly Cat on YouTube 😸

It's an value for money perfume but the opening is a like metalic and medicinal harsh opening but after some time it settled is smells great and can be wear in winter evening or in some festival or special occasions. It can get u complaints instead of compliments if over sprayed over all it's an great value for money perfume for both men and women.

I get a mossy type of smell reminding me of a marsh field. It's nice, not bad, just not great either. I say the dry down is where this really gets enjoyable. So, if you can wait an hour or so for it to settle, it definitely gets better. Will I run out for it, not my style personally. Try a sample.

I got a free sample of it from fragrancenet. This one is alright, but leans masculine oud. I felt like I’ve already smelled this one before, so not much to say about it.

This is a beast. So strong that it keeps nose blinding me. Opens like Oud for Greatness. And by opens, I mean for 2 hours it’s dominated by that same type of saffron/oud combo. By three hours it’s become more powdery and amber on my skin. And deviates into its own thing. So not a clone, but usable in the same situations.

Most prominent notes to me in this are jasmine, orris and oud It is quite strong, might be headache inducing, so be careful!

I'm slowly adjusting to oud fragrances but the skankiness here though arguably light and mild reminds me of a sour wet wash cloth or dish rag. Add that with the creamy like nature of the fragrance itself and it's a oft putting combination I just can't get past unfortunately.

On paper the smell is nice, on my skin the opening is very animalic, like feces!!

Got a free sample with my Fragrancenet order. This is one of the worst synthetic ouds I've smelled. Smells like wood varnish. It literally smells like wood varnish. This is why I don't buy from Dupe companies. They sell inferior products. It doesn't matter that you can get this for a good price that it's inexpensive. It smells dreadful. It smells like chemicals that you would strip a floor with or would varnish a floor or dresser drawers with. It smells like something you have to wear a mask around. If only the above accords were on the money. All this perfume is is just a collection of bad Woody aroma chemicals.

Instant scrubber, This is simillar to Haltane, ofg, br540 dna, that sweet chemical amber woody scent that causes noseblindness and smells like sugar powder. I guess ajmal named this haltane/ofg clone "song of oud" and didnt add a drop of oud to flip off those big companies using no oud and charging 400 500 bucks for their marvelous and masterful oudy creations.

At first I thought this was a rip off. I'm not sure if it was me going nose blind or it needed to macerate. I picked it up again a little over a week later and smelled the cap. I got this fruity pebbles fruity scent (not a chemical fruit either) and I figured F it, I'll give her another go. I smelled the chemical smell that initially turned me off,almost instantly. It smelled like a chemical feminine fragrance bomb. Yuck. As I was getting ready to wash it off I remembered, this is Ajmal, a middle eastern house, and like almost all middle eastern fragrances, you needed to give em time in every aspect. So I did just that and I was greeted with one of the most amazing oud like floral scents that we get blessed with from the middle East. There is only a sliver of oud if any at all. Either way I understood just why the name is like it is. Song of Oud. This went from being hated by me, to being one of my favorite scents EVER! This is one of those year round fragrances that smell different with each season. It's longevity is an 8 and it's strength is the same. As far as being a deal.....that depends on where you buy it. I've seen it go for $159 and I've seen it go for $70. I'm seeing it fly into my possession with fear of it being altered or watered down. Not a good blind but but not a bad one either. If you find it for under a $100.... Pull the trigger. Masterpiece!!!!

Yes, it’s got a slight synthetic opening but not anymore than many Afnan and Maison Alhambra fragrances. In fact, I feel my YSL MYSLF is more synthetic than this. Song of Oud is very much a dupe of Haltane. Think how Montblanc’s Explorer covers Aventus—that’s how Ajmal imitates Haltane: about 90+% the same, definitely smoother, and a big compliment-getter. I would also add that I’ve had Al Haramain’s Detour Eco—another Haltane clone—and Song of Oud is a tick better. I’ve been told by a few other perfume enthusiasts that I smell so good wearing Song of Oud. While I don’t wear perfume to get compliments from everyone—although I like it when people who are into fragrances tell me I smell good—I really do enjoy wearing this just as much as I enjoy wearing higher end fragrances like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille or Naxos Xerjoff. This is a very good choice to smell like Haltane, or even better, for very little money. I’d buy this again.

Hmm, I'm not getting the listed notes here. This mostly smells to me like pink pepper, oud, and other woods. There is something sweet, ...perhaps it could be an apple accord with a hint of orris root. ...but the spiciness is undeniable. The only listed note that comes close is ginger... As the top burns off I am getting a very modern patchouli, perhaps musk and amber are affecting the read. The listed white floral notes seem undetectable, perhaps thay are adding to the fruity sweetness. This is an unusually constructed scent. Spicy, musky, oudish, pungently woody, yet fruity sweet. I am enjoying experiencing this, ...but it doesn't cry out to be worn all day or often.

I don't really smell the OFG note that everyone is talking about. I guess it's somewhat similar for the first 5 mins. This stuff is a DEAL! It has a very expensive smell to it but not too lavish. I can see using this in all weather all year long. Not sure why it's named Song of Oud. There isn't any oud in this at all. If there was you would know it, I mean Ajmal uses nothing but the best oud available. This stuff is POWERFUL and VERY long lasting. I put some on, 4 sprays, and it lasted till the next morning. You just can't beat the price for the quality. Ajmal is always worth it .

Song Of Oud from the Haute Luxury Niche Perfumery House of Indian origin Ajmal based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is a Unisex Oriental Floral Amber Musky Woody perfume. Song Of Oud was released in 2023. Very Tasty Perfume! A mix of Baccarat Rouge with Oud For Greatness with an Arabic accent. Ajmal also has perfumes with oud in name only. A great alternative with quality and great cost benefit. Easy to please will certainly earn many compliments, and it still performs well. But not a passion for me.
