Choco Craze

Blind buy at a local Mediterranean market, I'm always enticed by anything with chocolate because at the moment, it's rare to find. It's like opening a pack of milky premix hot chocolate! I actually really like it, not a western style 'sweet'. At first I was concerned because the strong hazelnut chocolate disappears after 15 minutes but once it all settles down, the sweet cocoa syrup smell lasts for hours. The listed notes do not reflect the scent at all, though maybe combined they create the effect? Bottle is so incredibly cute, great presentation, but it also just smells so pleasant. Not childish at all, surprisingly bright and fresh for something so dessert heavy.

Weirdly smells like hazelnuts in the opening with a dry down of butter and that unfortunate plastic/rubber note that I often get in some gourmands.

No chocolate or cocoa is listed in the notes, but I definitely get cocoa powder or cacao. Then Mandarin, tonka, and vanilla are the next most prominent notes followed by a watery floral, so I assume that is the water florals. Less prominent notes are coconut milk, cedar, banana, butter and toast, but they are still detectable. A bit of an interesting fun fragrance for people happy to not take things too seriously. Wearable but not covetable, a bit of fun if you want to smell gourmand.
