Shahoor Intense

Wowwwwww I got this as a blind buy off of WhatNot... what an amazing fragrance. Super duper vanilla forward in the opening. The dry down is this luxurious warm vanilla and musk scent. It lasted on me for hooouurrrssss! I’m so impressed with this! Running to buy another bottle!!!! 🏃♀️ 💨 💨

I kind of have mixed feelings of this scent. I had Khadlaj Caffe Latte but didnt feel it was as gourmand as I would have wanted, it was incredibly bland and I couldnt pick up the notes except vanilla and some afterthought coffee, so I tried Shahoor Intense and found it far better, I could smell the nuttiness, the amaretto and the coffee. But after that initial excitement, now when I reach for Shahoor Intense I am disappointed as it doesnt seem to project and I have to really overspray. The coffee is also really not coming through as much as I wanted. Right now its sitting in maceration jail. Im still on the hunt for the perfect Arab gourmand coffee fragrance, and Im hoping Arab fragrance lines will come up with more besides this Amore Caffe DNA. Update: it's much better now. Extremely smooth boozy amaretto with loads of sticky brown sugar and an extremely blended coffee. I was hoping the coffee will be a little more prominent but its so blended in that sometimes you barely get it but it does smell like youre nearby a cafe. It smells really good but its still not as strong as I would like. Further update: I got Arabiyat Fondue Velvet Dip and that one is literally 100x stronger version of this. The coffee is actually so much more prominent, much more long lasting, the scent is bolder, fuller and smoother, there is no cheap alcohol smell at all and it is hands down the winner of the DNA for me! The blend is incredible it actually smells like a bold affogato. Shahoor is a bit more watery lactonic, Fondue is lactonic too but less watery, more of heavy cream. I've finally been able to pick the ice cream note in this DNA in Fondue! I'm happy to mix the two until I run out of Shahoor and then I will stick to buying Fondue Velvet Dip. I finally got what I was expecting.

Update 08/19/25 It's become much better, alcohol blast in the beginning is gone and its scent resemble Amore Caffe a lot, the difference is the quality. Compared to its inspiration, this fragrance is less complex—it lacks the depth and richness of coffee and amaretto. The sweetness is more of a straightforward sugariness rather than a thick, syrupy one. It's a good budget-friendly alternative, but don't expect it to last very long. --- First Impression Opening is a blast of alcohol then slowly the scent of sugar creeping out under the alcohol dominant. About 1 hour later then it resemble Amore caffe a little but totally lacking the quality, less deep less rich not much of sweetness. The performance is lacking too. I'll let it sit for a month then try again.

This one is good but very similar to perfumes I already own, like Coffee toffee and Caffe Latte. I will send it back.

It’s a pleasant perfume and true to its listed notes — I can smell the coffee, amaretto, and vanilla (it’s slightly sweet). But honestly, I’ve been disappointed... it feels as if all those notes were diluted in water. To me, this perfume is very soft and has little projection (and I’ve had it macerating for quite a while). As an alternative to Mancera’s Amore Café, I prefer Khadlaj Café Latte or Zimaya Tiramisu Coco. I liked both more — the Khadlaj one has better projection and more strength, while the Zimaya, although soft, has a pleasant fruity or distinctive touch that I really enjoy.

Smells like Escapade Gourmand with an ice cream note. If you like escapade gourmand, you will enjoy this. If not, just don't try it. Escapade gourmand isn't my favorite scent so getting this was very underwhelming.

I know I'm in the minority for saying this, but I purchased Shahoor Intense last year and still find it to be on the disappointing side months later. To me, it smells very strongly of alcohol and Cocoa Puffs at first, and the dry down gives alcohol and Play-Doh in a dusty attic. I don't detect the top notes at all, and something about it just smells old and cheap. Not a safe blind buy IMO despite all the hype.

At first I did not care for this at all. I hade such buyers remorse lol It gave me the scent of too many scoops of instant coffee in hot water...but here I am testing it out on a random cold rainy day (I think almost a yr later) and i can’t stop sniffing my arm. If you’ve ever made Café de olla that is what I’m getting from this! To me it’s like it has this piloncillo sweetness that ALMOST gives it this creamy edge to it. It’s aalllmost in that sticky sweet coffee territory but it’s just right for me. On my skin in the dry down it has this bright nuttiness that khair pistachio gives from the pistachio note (not a like the secent at all) I think it’s because for some reason the almond isn’t a straight almond on me, but I’m okay with that. I love it.

I like it, but if you have Coffee Blend, Cafe Latte or Amor Cafe, you don't need this one.
