Delicate

This is a beautiful warm, slightly powdery, comforting, and yet sophisticated fragrance. Although it is categorized as floral fruity (and I generally don't enjoy fruity fragrances), the fruit here is very subtle and not piercing or synthetic smelling. I also smell some resins, and maybe even a touch of amber? It is an incredibly long lasting fragrance, with good projection (one dot rubbed between wrists will project 2 feet most of the day while working on computer and typing). I don't get distinctive lilac, but the florals here are wonderfully blended. The cinnamon lends the blend a wonderful deep warmth (along with those resins I mentioned), but I wouldn't have known it was cinnamon if I wasn't looking at the pyramid. I can't compare this scent to anything, as I haven't smelled anything like this before. It's a must try, however, and I found it intoxicatingly gorgeous. Edited to add - it is not DELICATE, in the commonly accepted meaning of that word. Lovers of full bodied, deep, warm fragrances should not be disappointed. Compliments dressier outfits on special occasions.

Unlike previous reviewers I would describe this attar as mostly fruity-berry-blackcurrant-like with honeyed musky flowers, as a supporting group of fruits. Spices coming out at later stage, drydown is really long and attractive, I prefer this attar after half an hour on my skin. It is another release that would please to modern noses, kind of sweetened Jimmy Choo type of fragrances or Boucheron Jaipur Bracelet in oil. It is sweet, feminine, sparkly, intense and fun to wear for all age groups. Very pretty bottle as well, a heavy one.

The opening of Delicate smells greenish floral with perhaps a hint of berries. Then the magic begins.... Somehow the combination of the many florals listed results to my nose in a lovely melange of Powdery Magnolia and Sweet Jasmine. Yes, really! Delicate is not that far from being a sibling to Dior Pure Poison. I KID YOU NOT. This is both an expensive smelling and a very feminine floriental, elegant and enjoyable. Sillage and longevity are both about average on me, neither strong nor invisible. It would be difficult to dislike such a classic, unless you are overtly against powder or florals, that is. ;) Charming and Elegant, more than Delicate, I think, though the name suits the fragrance far better in context. When compared to typical saffron/rose/oud attars from the middle east, a floral with soft western sensibilities is INDEED Delicate. So, to sum up: If you love powdery florals containing both jasmine and magnolia, look no further! Highly recommended. Update: Well, I'm shocked! I had this attar in a warm room for several months, and the result is that Delicate became far more powerful and less delicate in character. The red berries zing out in the opening more also, though the dry down (when one finally gets there!) remains the same. What is really interesting to me is how this scent now reminds me of a modern chypre - in the same family as Madame Gres, perhaps? The predominant berries and earthiness/musk (I almost smell a hint of patchouli) really kick this into a different territory than my first wearings. And let us talk about strong. I got a bit on my fingernail yesterday and it outlasted several washings, only disappearing with my bath. So while my remarks about the dry down remain (to the best of my knowledge) accurate, you'd be advised to know that Delicate can be a shape shifter when she chooses. High quality, smells very expensive - but in this incarnation a bold, modern lady for hours... and hours!

Delicate is not the right name for this perfume, I think Elegant is more suitable. Floral, elegant,classy, I don't feel the fruits, only flowers.I really like this one.

This attar as a syrup on vanilla ice cream. And I mean this in a good way.

Al Haramain’s ‘Delicate’ is like a pretty little venomous snake - you want to touch its intricately sculpted, swirling, weighty gold bottle with green enamel-like glitter detail. She looks at you with hypnotic and seductive eyes that lure you into a false of security. You remind yourself that it’s called ‘Delicate’ so it’s ok to touch and unleash her magical golden oil from within. She flickers her calculating tongue in anticipation of the powerful venom she’s about to strike. And then it hits... SHE’S A BEAST! Her poison has all of the power of 80s shoulder-pad perfume plus a sweet praline. There’s no vanila listed but there is a narcotic vanilla being roasted on a spit in Hell by Satan, which smokes and entwines around the 80’s powerhouse floral and sweet praline. The opening is horrifying, I instantly selected “dislike”, but as it settles, it’s complicated and cleverly layered but balanced enough to keep me returning for more devine torment. I’m reaching for the bottle again to willingly let her bite me. This is the weirdest love-hate relationship. It’s a dangerous liaison which I know is wrong, so I keep the dislike option clicked (as she’s intimidating and makes me feel cowardly), but I keep returning to my sordid affair. I hate sweet scents and detest vanilla, but ‘Delicate’ is dominating my free-will and making me a glutton for sweet punishment. Respect is due.

This is so weird to me! The mix of cinnamon and violet gives it bit of that fecal tinge, which is hard for me to get over. After it settles down it becomes a fresh very old school floral scent. Not my cup of tea. I wish i didnt get it.

Very boring, I can barely smell anything. It gives a strange synthetic smell of what I guess should be a berry/flower smell. Why the hype?

Omg I LOVE this stuff!!!! My husband gets gifted a lot of attars and I just put some on from his dresser as I was cleaning. I'd forgotten throughout the day that I had worn any fragrance but I kept on getting wafts of this gorgeous floral with a thickness that I cant explain. A rich yet comforting scent. When I realised it was me, I started to panic because I couldnt remember which one I had applied from his myriad (but beautiful) attar bottles. I ahd to go through them all to find it!! 😅 It took me a while but I HAD to know what that smell was. Beautiful floriental. ❤️ Edit: I just got shams al emarat kasusi by Ard Al zaafaran, and their dry down is identical.

Definately unique smell. Mix of flowers, fruits and spicies. Not delicate as the name suggest but not strong heavy ether. Very well balanced, long lasting. I would say it is quite close to YSL Libre. I ordered blindly and I'm happy with my purchase. Gorgeous!

Belo perfume, longevidade excelente.
