Firdous

This is so green, soapy, refreshing and clean. A little bit sweet at the bottom (maybe the sweetness of amber and musk). An herbal delight, with a little bit of white flowers, lavender and slightly leathery. Wonderful for hot weather if applied with a very light hand. Totally unisex. This makes you feel clean and fresh and lasts for ages. Reminds me of the grassy aroma of La Toja ́s Heno de Pravia soap. In fact it combines very well with Heno de Pravia. Lovely and so cheap. You can ́t go wrong with this one. Suitable for everyday use, sports and office even in the hottest weather but please use no more than one drop or it would be too cloying. If you like grassy, clean and soapy scents, this is the one for you.

Very green and mossy with a little sweetness to it. I get a very subtle rose note although rose isn't listed, and it has a lasting mossy/woody finish. As another reviewer mentioned, this is not one of the oud/amber type Arabian oils and it's lighter than those types, but it has excellent longevity and moderate sillage. I'm impressed by the quality of this fragrance, and will definitely be trying more of them.

theres something lemongrassy in the opening that might be offputting but just bear with it... cuz a while later (and it can be quite A while) a nice sandalwood will emerge and itll turn a few degrees warmer. ive warmed up to it after putting it at the back shelf for some time. what im trying to say is, just give anything (or anyone) a second chance. you might be pleasantly suprised 😘

If you like soapy, this is cheap enough on Chinamazon for a blind buy. It has that resinous incency quality. Reminds me of Prada Amber pour Homme for its soapy incence. It's like a soap scented incense stick. Powdery in the dry down. I enjoy wearing this to bed after a shower. Very comforting. My friend says it smells like old person.. So I will be wearing this just for me lol.

Good day perfume lovers... This perfume is awesome... I love it so much.. But it is almost the same naeem... Except that naeem is a bit stronger... Dont get me wrong... I love this green moss smell... I have collected all 14 lines of this perfumes... This could be my top 7.... I just... Really love it.... For those who like naeem... Might like this one...

Testing 15 ml perfume oil, egzactly as on the main picture. The box is shaped and sized as cigarette box and opens egzactly the same. Fragrance is absolutely green, a bit soapy, fresh but not totally light. Don't be afraid of oakmoss, it's not the heavy hitter kind. On the other hand - if you expect loads of oakmoss, you might not find what you expect. Floral component makes it much, much closer to green florals group, than to chipres. So, if you are familiar with the drydown of the last reformulated version of Balmain's Vent Vert (the one with silver ball cap) - there you go. Striked by resemblance, I did compare them. That's totally it. In summary, I think this would be good for layering under lighter green florals, for extra endurance and power. *like ("ok one") *performance (silage + longevity): in moderately cold weather conditions works almost as skin scent with satisfying longevity (about 6 hours). BUT, attars are made for higer temperatures, so I will report on this again. * weather,time, occasion: Probably early to full spring. I guess I would want to reach for this in the same occasions when I reach for green florals. Casual to semi-formal. Day. PS (for blind buyers) Firdous does NOT smell like Naeem. Firdous is a clean, green scent. Naeem also has some "greeness", but it is much, much more intense, overloaded with patchouli (the "dirty" kind), spicy and significantly sweeter. I also smell some ripe fruity component in Naeem. So, about similarity, let me put it this way: Lovers of Ma Griffe, Vent Vert, Chanel N.19 might like Firdous, or find it pleasing. Lovers of Eden and Kenzo Jungle L'Elephant - perhaps - might like Naeem.

I succumbed to the temptation and bought this on sight as it is so cheap. About USD6 for a 15ml bottle. Come in a nifty little box too that looks like a cigarette box I like the scent, it smells soapy fresh on opening and quickly develops into some sweet woody smell whch is soft but lasts. Sillage is respectable too I use it for layering with Tom Ford Grey Vetiver edt and the result is heavenly. It gives TFGV a fresher smell with more depth and longevity. This is good stuff. If you cannot stand it on its own, at least you can use it for layering. Now I need to try some more from the range

Yes- VERY-similar to 'Jannat al Firdaus' by Swiss Arabian: a highly "green" and floral, aromatic fougère- not a chypre. Base is oakmoss and musk; heart is a complex mixture of lavender with floral, herbal, and aldehyde modifiers. The top is a citrus blend, but this top is not as strong as SA's original, making it "softer" and not as "sharp". 'Firdous' is nice... but I also prefer both 'Naeem' and 'Khaltath'(formerly:'Mukhallat')

This does smell like soap, but that’s not necessarily bad. Soap has a fresh clean fragrance concentrate added to it. After you shower and you wanna keep that relaxing clean odor about you this stuff is nice. It’s definitely not gonna impress anybody at school, work or any evening out, but in the evening you when you just wanna take a shower and feel clean, casual and relaxed, this does it nicely.

It is fizzy like cola and gives crispy white florals, giving the impression of a fresh shaved man. Could be perceived als piercing through its crispiness but to me it stays playful and friendly. I like it as a no brainer office freshie with a twist.

Smells very calming, mossy, and yes, it does smell like soap, herbalic, greeny soap after a while Buat orang2 indonesia, ini baunya kaya wangi2an di rumah orang yang buka jasa make up dan sewa kebaya gitu 😅

This atter take in flower world . Very easy to wear very peaceful feeling. But that's all my opinion if you are not agree that's your right. Roller is not good but that acceptable better don't buy.

This is a boring day in the office or a clean evening relaxing scent. Very mundane but just as comforting. This won't excite anyone but it will soothe. And at this price, it's worth it.

Half of year has passed since I have this one. A cheap 6$ 15ml pure perfume bottle with a roll-on. The thing with this one is that it smells clean, soap like, grass after the rain or something like a pine-tree. It is similar to Al-Haramain Naeem, but you cannot confuse them one for another. It is not fresh, it is very green. A little floral as well. Strong moss alongside the other notes. I say the other notes because you can tell it is not just the moss, but that's the only thing that pops out. A decent projection and a big longevity for this one. I think this one is too strong for a woman, so yeah... A very good choice buying this, especially because the low price.

Ok yes it does smell like the green soap on the soap rollers in the elementary school girls' room. I suppose that's the Palmolive so many have mentioned. Yet I really like it. I get lots of green leaves and white florals but not much oakmoss, sadly. Cute rollerball bottle. The box looks like cigarette box but pictures roses on the front, love that.

If this really does smell like Heno de Pravia, I will be very happy indeed. I'll update on Firdous once it arrives!

Kind of a disappointment for me... I love My Griffe – Carven, Blue Grass- Elizabeth Arden, Aromatics elixir – Clinique or any Chanel 19 type of scents. I love a good old fashion green scent in any of its forms, either powdery, either sharp, either soapy. This is the reason for which I was curious about Firdous. But it lacks sooo many things. It’s pure old soap. But not in that nice way; in the grossest possible way. It’s like taking a big mouth of soap – and you are hit by that clogging, queasy, disgusting scent that makes our wanna puke instantly. It’s just the smell of greasy old soap, nothing, floral, nothing powdery or fresh. Yes it is earthy & mossy, but that overwhelming brute .. bitter soapiness is not something I enjoy at all. It reminds me of Rasasi Afshan, it has the same type of soapiness, but Rasasi is more floral ( you can really feel the rose in that one) and sweeter. So I guess if you like Afhsan’s wibe but you wished it was less sweet, you might enjoy Firdous. It gets extra points for uniqueness though. I have rarely smelled something similar, so if you are into discovering weird scents, you give this a try, as it is very cheap. I have the oil version, maybe it’s more potent than the perfume version. I will try to apply it with a lighter hand.. but I don’t have much hope for this one.

Hate it! Extremely soapy, green and sweet...horror from hell! Go visit a garden, pull out all the leafy green shrubs, bring them back home... Prepare an ocean of soapy water (floral laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid and every other soap you can think of)...Add a big bag of sugar into the soapy water. Crush the leafy shrubs and leave them to rot / soak in the soapy water. Come back after a few days and what you smell is this oil! I love green frags and love then in different combos like bitter-green, citrus-green, earth-green etc but I have never ever smelled soapy-green like this little horror! Intensely and nauseatingly soapy, this is certainly a green Frag but no way compares to any other vetiver or galabanum frag! Quite disappointed but will come back to test this again a few months later.

I blind bought three oils: Naeem, Firdous and Black by Al Haramain. I tested them for a while and I must say that Firdous and Naeem are the most awfull perfumes I ever smellt. Firdous is horrible: it smells like smoked meat almost all the time, except a little time in opening. On the other hand, Naeem has a disgusting/nauseous opening, but the late dry down is acceptable, spicy. But who has the time to wait the drydown? I tested both on my skin, on paper and on clothes (small portions). No notable differences. Same emetic smell. The worst blind buy I made for now. I had luck with Al Haramain - Black, which somehow saved the failure.

I concur - if you don’t like anything akin to green or soapy, white floral, stay clear. But I do like that! It has sweetness, but nothing terribly sweet, and I get an almost Smokey smell. It’s not just green like grass, it’s deep and kinda Smokey/Spicey. The Spicey bit continues throughout. For me, that’s a very enjoyable combo. It doesn’t smell in particular manly to me, but could have some elements of what reminds you of a clean yet rugged man (at least when he’s freshly-showered) who wears leather boots, can cook over a fire after he’s caught or grown whatever he’s cooking, wears good cologne...... handsome in his Sunday suit or dress clothes, maybe can change a diaper in-between adding a bathroom over the weekend, writes you a poem on your birthday. Haha, now I’ve run away with this imagery just a bit, but it’s that guy who is strong yet still soft. Capable, keen senses, can read people, and has very good manners. Actually, that’s my Dad, his brothers, and their Dad. So yeah.... I get unisex on this. Is it the most super-fantastic scent ever devised? No. Is it a no-brainer good value for anyone who likes these notes? Absolutely. Almost a sweet, green-clean floriental. That’s a thing, right? 😂

What a find! What a gem! Beautiful intense green florals over a musky, mossy (I think there is LOT of oakmoss in this Hallelujah!)base. Goes on very strong (but lovely) and transforms over many hours. I get the most lovely smokey leather in this and the drydown is to die for and lasts until the next day! I think there is tons of oakmoss in this as it reminds me of my favorite perfumes that were decimated by accountants and the IFRA. Reminds me somewhat of what I remember Cabochard extrait being. Very unabashedly mature and retro. Close your eyes and I'm sure you will be transported to the 1930's. I love this so much I bought 3 bottles. I smell more chypre than fougere with this, but that's just my nose I'm sure, we all get different things from different fragrances. Thank God there are alternatives to the chemical mish mash that most fragrances are today!

I purchased this perfume as the notes sounded intriguing-and I liked the idea of having a oakmoss heavy perfume as some have described. Initially I have to say that the note like citronella dominates-and I'm not a fan of citronella in perfumes. It is either citronella that I'm picking up, or the mixture of lemon and lily-of-the-valley, well whatever it is I don't really like it that much! There is a woodiness and muskiness behind the citronella or lemon/lily-of-the-valley. After a little over half an hour, the horrible 'citronella' disappears and is replaced by a green, fresh and woody scent with musk in the background, I can also smell the oakmoss and some white floral notes. Sadly after an hour it becomes a skin scent on me, and I find it difficult to pick out any of the notes.

What a deceptively simple beauty! Looking at the notes I wasn't sure if I would love this as much as I do now... but Loca del To's review convinced me I had to give it a try. The opening is very sharp, you must persevere until that citronella effect wears off - this is not what the fragrance is all about. The main phase reveals a beautifully rounded composition with florals, musk and plenty of oakmoss. I am not sure how much there is lily of the valley, as I don't usually like this note. All I can sniff is a chypre that hovers elegantly between a clean slightly green musky floral and the type of chypres I like from Agent Provocateur. In summary, I wouldn't say this reminds me of Heno de Pravia but I like it a lot anyway!

Chypre Oil... So this is one which I do enjoy wearing a lot. I have always been a fan of "attar" oils, and this one is no exception. The name means "paradise" in Arabic. To me, Firdous comes across as a mossy chypre, albeit in oil form, with a hint of some lemon background (presumably the citronalla aspect). I do also get lilly-of-the-valley, that is to say a clean white floral smell, and a background of white musk. Those are the notes for me, there may be sandalwood there but it's not so noticeable. Overall, a very clean smell. Fresh, slightly woody, but mainly green. I like it very much. If you want a chypre style fragrance for a very cheap price, this will do it. Very good stuff.

Lillies, floral, musk on a base of sandalwood and the awesome essence of aged wood. This one smells premier. What's great is its greenness without the intensely chypre-esque depth of its Jannet El Firdaus counterpart. Other than the depth, I also feel the packaging of that one is better and that's stronger. Both are equally lasting with similar sillage. Edit: This starts of on a very soapy note. If you just open the bottle, it'll feel like you opened the bar of a drugstore soap. But, wait out past till the citrus notes burst open and settle down with equal fervor. This is a win-win one.

This is a really bitter green fragrance that smells of basically oakmoss and lily of the valley. It smells like a bitter green soap. Projection is very good as is longevity. It does not really smell like a perfume. It smells like a very vegetal and soapy scent; mainly oakmoss and lily of the valley. Very green, soapy, somewhat astringent but in a pleasant and cooling way. Out of the shower fresh. To my nose it's pretty good but this is one that you won't like unless you love the chypre genre. 4/5

This is similar to the same fragrance by Swiss Arabian, but Swiss Arabian is more concentrated "musk" and this is a little "sweeter" to me. I have them both and blend them together. And remember not too much! Stays all day on me. Dries to a beautiful green floral musk! If you love the original "musk" oils from the 70's, blend a little Jovan musk to it, like I do, you'll feel nostalgic!

Thank you Polica for your review mentioning this resembles Vent Vert. It really does! I used to love that scent decades ago and I have been trying to find it - or a replacement. Now I found it! Edit. After two hours it is just soap and Vent Vert has gone. Oh well. Edit. 2 Trying this again the soapiness is less dominant. I guess macerating makes this better? Interesting.

@ Loca del To You had me at Heno de Pravia... I was always wondering if there was a perfume out there that resembles without having to resort to buying some sort of litrona size of family cologne from a Spanish import shop. This one is way more suitable for the handluggage :-) I am buying already !

Bought it blind. Sniffing the bottle I am reminded of a vintage Pino Silvestre. It slowly changes into a green soap. Silage and longevity are very poor. I am quite disappointed. I will revisit it when Winter arrives and may try some layering.

This isn't "soapy" or "a little like soap". It literally smells exactly like a bar of soap. Not especially fancy soap, just your standard white bar of soap. For better or for worse.

Very sweet green musk scent but not very musky. I prefer to the Swiss Arabian version but these type of scents are not my cup of tea and a note in this oil makes me feel queasy.

its same as Swiss Arabian JANNET EL FIRDAUS ,but moire softer than Swiss Arabian, Firdous is best for women and Swiss Arabian JANNET EL FIRDAUS is best for men

I had it, maybe a small version. What I remember most distinctly is that to me it smelled exactly like a lump of soap. A lump for very boring unscented soap.

Definitely something different, in a good way. Fresh and invigorating. Great on a hot day

@Terente, i wonder whether you have tried. Madinah? i would like to read your opinion.

Pardum very strong at first, but not required thereafter, I much prefer Naeem.
