I am really enjoying this fragrance. It's more floral than Firdous (which I love), and the ylang-ylang shines in it. It's quite prominent on me, but never turns too sweet or cloying. There's a 'rosy' tinge too, very green, which I'd guess is geranium. These perfumes are so well blended that it can sometimes be difficult to distinguish the individual notes, but I definitely get the ylang-ylang, lavender, moss and musk. This seems to lean a little more toward a western style fragrance than some of the brand's offerings, but most certainly has all of the skillful eastern artistry typical of the Al Haramain perfumes I've tried. Longevity and sillage are excellent, and you need use only a bit of it for a scent that lasts all day.

I'd have to call this an aromatic "green" fougere--quite complex, quite aldehydic--yet different from 'Naeem' and 'Firdous' because of its "warmer" character. It is so dense and well-blended that it is hard for me to pick out single notes, but it glides down from an extreme top of citrus (lime+ bitter orange?), through many herb and floral-notes (geranium/rose prominent)--and even sweet-sour, fruity notes--to the base of oakmoss +benzoin + musk with touches of vetiver and tonka. Great sillage and longevity- one of my favorites from this line!

A woody smoky sweet scent which is pleasant and not cloying, another inexpensive good one from this line, many of them smell more expensive that what they sell for... One thing I've noticed is that for being and oil, they don't last or project on my skin as long nor as well as other oils from other brands ( 4 to 5 hrs may be ), but again, for the price I guess it's fine.

To my humble nose this is all about rose!! Upon first application I was amazed! This did smell like an amalgamation of Estee Lauder's "White Linen" and Van Cleef and Arpel's "First"... Sharp, green, intense, bright, sparkling...WOW! I then proceeded to cover every part of exposed skin (with the convenient roller ball applicator) with wild abandon!! ALAS! This magical stage only lasted 10 minutes! I should have paid more attention to the reviews here! Everything I loved in those first precious minutes soon dissipated and all that remained was fresh, dewy rose and musk. Some 6 hours later and the ylang ylang has just popped up it's sweet,fruity, head! Unfortunately... Still NO lavender!! I had over-applied and finally ended up smelling of cat wee. It was a relief to be able to wash it off in the evening. The dry down on me was identical to that of Angel Schlesser Oriental Edition II. That doesn't make much sense- but it may help other Fragrantican's who like the same sort of perfumes that I do, and so may have a similar body chemistry. I can appreciate this would smell amazing on the right person who was perhaps a little less heavy-handed! IMHO I think it has a more feminine than unisex vibe. The great thing is, that at such a reasonable price, you don't have to take my word for it... you can try it for yourself- guilt free!...Now that IS priceless!

I tracked down a bottle of this. When you go to the Al-Rashad site and add this item to the cart, Al Haramain's Mukhallath pops in the cart. And for good reason. They are BOTH the same thing. The Mukallaath bottle has a hair more musk. But the same still. The scent: the Rose: This is a unisex green rose. Very Generic. Nothing prickly like Taif or rich like a Damascus rose(my fav) oil. Just generic. But it's not the 'plastic doll head' aroma of Tea Rose (sometimes). Bitter and Generic. The profile: Overall, it has an oily earthy profile. The moss isnt too dirty just a dry vegetation smell. It reminds me ALOT of the dry down of Van Cleef & Arpels' "First" in vintage. The 12 hour later smell. The smokiness smells like someone took an old splintered, extra dry stick and put strong musk oil on it and held it over open flames. No, not an incense..but smoked musk. Meh. There you have it.
