L'Aventure Knight

Another Hidden Gem is called L'Aventure Knight SOTD: Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight: As of 01/02/19 My opinion on the L'Aventure Knight is a clone of GIT on what people compare it to, and I don't own GIT to compare it to but I own Cool Water. And L'Aventure Knight has the GIT/Cool Water DNA, but to my nose I love the scent coming from L'Aventure Knight then Cool Water. Cool Water was my signature scent several ions ago, Cool Water has that tobacco, sea water and green notes in which I love, but now my taste on fragrance has bit matured which is still growing and learning the notes of different genres of fragrances. L'Aventure Knight has the floral notes like violet leaf, iris and bergamot which is more mellow and pleasing to my nose than Cool Water. Don't get me wrong I love my Cool Water, but down the road I will gravitate more to L'Aventure Knight than Cool Water to wear on occasions or a dumb reach. L'Aventure is a surprise scent to me, which I liked and probably love as well. Overall my rating of L'Aventure Knight is 8.25/10. To me is a must buy/purchase. Rating Scent: 8.0/10 Value: 9/10 Presentation/Design: 9/10 Performance/Longevity: 9/10: Lasted on my skin tapping at 14+ hrs Overall: 8.25/10 My SOTD (Scent of the Day): Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight: As of 02/15/19 Revisited again this scent/fragrance made my SOTD as of 02/15/19, and it hasn't change my opinion about this fragrance to me in my honest opinion this is a better clone of GIT out there in Frag.com at the moment, it's better than Tres Nuit and Cool Water and of course is not better than the OG GIT. Again my nose detects the Iris, powdery notes, musk, tea, lemon verbena, and bergamot. I'm still getting beastly longevity/performance 8-10 sprays, lasted on my skin as a skin scent around 14+ hrs. Presentation and design is superb, just not a fan of the boxy shaped fragrance it can be hard to hold or grip when it comes to spraying the fragrance and it is a finger print magnet, but it does not take away value and how close the scent is to GIT even though I don't own a GIT. It a great buy and a must have if you don't own GIT and if your in a budget. L'Aventure Knight from the house of Al Haramain is a gem. My overall rating has slightly change from a 8.25 to 8.5 out of 10.

After trying Tres Nuit and giving the bottle away, mostly due to performance, I wanted a GIT type of scent on a budget, so I bought this hoping for that, and I love it! Performance is there. Not a beast, maybe on a really hot day it would be a beast, but it lasts a good amount of time, so if I want to be annoying, I'll just spray more. xD I notice that most folks have given the sillage a moderate rating, but I will admit, this stuff is absolutely radiating off of me currently, much more than I had anticipated, so I'm happy for that! The scent is really nice. I get a fairly green kind of grassy scent but with a really nice freshness (I assume this to be the lemon verbena). It does have a slight powdery vibe, but not in the type of way that I think about powder. To me its just fresh, clean, and more what I imagined GIT smelling like than Tres Nuit, which very much reminded me of Cool Water. This has the same sort of thing, but its way more of a green vibe than a watery vibe. I've read on both Tres Nuit and this, saying "it smells like Irish Spring" and I personally don't pick up too much of that, maybe the smallest bit, but not to the point that I feel I had just bathed a second time after spraying. A nifty side note for myself atleast, I used to LOVE the Usher cologne back in the day, but remember it not being the greatest performer. Thankfully, atleast to my nose, this smells in so many ways identical to that, a little different, but almost if it was a little more refined and with HEAPS more performance overall. So again, its a big win there for me! I do seem to notice, that my nose for some reason wants to call this a slightly more "mature" scent, but I believe I'm being a bit deceived by a note as I feel like young me would like this as much as current me does, and I feel old me would like this as much as now as well. Edit after a wearing at work: stuff performed on me really well for the first 5 hours or so. After that point, it didn't loft up as much, but almost 10 hours later, and I still smell it on me albeit a bit faintly. Good stuff!

Yep. Ditto. Best GIT clone I've tried yet! L'aventure Knight is SOOO close to the real thing and yet honestly better than GIT, because it resembles the darker batches of GIT that I've come to love. Armaf Le Parfait is better than GIT for me also, in spite of Le Parfait not being an exact clone, since it has a little Aventus in the background. I'd say either of them would be a fine replacement for GIT, and both are far better than Cool Water and the likes. But, L'aventure Knight is hands down the best GIT clone I've tried. Tres Nuit can't even touch this stuff... well actually, Tres Nuit's floral notes are pretty dang close to GIT too, however Tres Nuit is so weak, and L'aventure Knight just WEARS more similar to GIT in a real life situation. And often lasts longer! Testing side by side with GIT, the main difference is that L'aventure Knight is more woody/musky in the start, but the ambergris is certainly there in L'aventure Knight, and detectable right from the beginning. After about 5-10 minutes, it smells just like GIT's opening, and remains that way for the majority of its life. In the dry down, the woody notes fade, which finds more verbena, violet and ambergris. It's a little backwards to GIT, which is verbena, violet and ambergris in the beginning, and woody violet ambergris in the dry down. Also, the projection of L'aventure Knight is surprisingly good, actually better than Le Parfait. I still like Le Parfait's scent more as a GIT replacement, personally, but this is equally as good in its own way, since it's such a spot on clone to the darker batches of GIT that I've liked so much in the past. You'd be VERY hard pressed to tell the difference between the two if you weren't comparing them side by side, and even then, it's surprisingly close after 5-10 minutes.

A solid offering from Al Haramain and to date the closest GIT clone I own but only in the drydown! This opens up very fresh,green, but also slightly dark and powdery and there’s a slightly off putting ink note in here (I’m guessing from the tea) which I didn’t like initially but it’s grown on me As it dries down this gets more smooth and that sharpness and powderiness dries down and your left with a very refreshing and smooth green scent !!! The drydown is pretty much the same except this loses pretty much all sharpness and your left with a gorgeous drydown and at this stage (about 2 hours in) that’s where the magic lies ! Also where it smells very close to GIT !! A great scent on its own though as compared to GIT I’d say it’s more modern,sweet and powdery !! Another great clone that’s inspired by GIT is EGra by Rasasi !! That’s another one similar to GIT but that goes more into a green shower gel vibe and smells like a more sophisticated Aspen!! Performance is great as it lasts 8-12 hours and decent projection for 2 hours but leaves a great scent trail and scent bubble when smelled up close !! I’d say this has gotten more compliments that all the GIT inspired scents as it does have a bit more character but my personal favorite is Egra by Rasasi Overall rating -8 out of 10 !! Lovely smell for a great price that also performs very well but what it loses points in is that inky smell which is not a game changer but a smell I could do without

I’m still amazed by this smell and if you’re looking for a GIT inspired fragrance I would say for me anyways this is the best one and I have tried pretty much all of them. However it does have some uniqueness and character of its own !! This opens up a bit synthetic and unpleasant and has a bitter inky note that does not sit well with me some days (it does smell much better in the air) as it dries down you get that fresh,soapy,dewey, fresh laundry by a lake type of vibe but where this differs is I also get a watery note in Knight that I don’t get from GIT which I actually quite prefer and I’ve got compliments from this saying it also slightly reminds them of the beach and was similar to a Nautica fragrance. I DO kind of get that as in the air there’s a green but also blue quality to this fragrance making it more modern than other GIT inspired fragrances! This is probably my 3rd most complimented fragrances so this does have mass appeal and to many different age groups as well making this very versatile! Performance on me has been excellent as it projects very well (not quite beast mode) for 2 hours and then is a very noticeable skin scent for the duration of the scent life. It lasts me also 12-16 hours Overall rating -9 out of 10 !!! Very enjoyable scent and very mass appealing smell for a great price. I also actually prefer this to GIT

In my opinion this is truly an impressive achievement, and I say that in light of its status as a clone. I have a number of niche, designer, and clone fragrances, including GIT. For the price, this is really stunning. The first few minutes with L'Aventure Knight ("L'AK") are a bit of a jumpscare. After that it gets better and better as time passes. I'll spare you too many details but this stuff is genuinely great. Some clones are hits, others misses. This one is a home run and nearly a grand slam. Every time I wear it, it makes me think: 'how did they do this' and 'how is this even possible at this price???' I'm not saying L'AK is, or even could, be better than the original; but when I wear this I am not sure how it could be improved on, apart from the fleeting scariness in the opening. After spraying this (and the opening disappearing), before too long, there are periods where L'AK is very very close to GIT in the air, and in my estimation, I get better performance out of L'AK. I can confidently say that you can at least try this before you buy GIT to see if you'll like the genuine article. People have been comparing Cool Water and Tweed since CW came out, and L'AK reveals how much truly seperates them (namely, how much more aquatic CW is). Bravo Haramain. For the price, I'm not sure there are better options.

Cool Water with the powder dialed all the way up to 10. I love it. I can see how the opening could be offputting to some people because of the weird tea note, but after LAK is dried down it smells fresh and powdery with a slightly aquatic vibe. One thing I'm always impressed by is the presentation of these Middle Eastern clone houses. LAK comes in its own navy blue plastic display box that is modeled after the bottle itself. The bottle is honestly a little ugly and a fingerprint magnet; I also have issues with the atomizer spraying all over the side of the bottle when applying. The shape of the bottle itself makes it awkward to hold and spray. Even with the gripes, I got this for DIRT cheap and I find the presentation to be much more interesting than the regular cardboard box with a logo. EDIT: I finally got my nose on Green Irish Tweed. I'd pick L'Aventure Knight every day of the week. The drydown is nearly spot on and LAK lasts twice as long. LAK retains a citrus/lemon note along with the gorgeous green powder drydown. It's also less than 1/10th of the cost of GIT. No brainer.

Giving this a re-review now that spring is here and I've worn this a couple of times. The more I wear it, the better it is. I don't believe in maceration much, but I got the bottle in November, and it is now March, and this stuff seems even more potent after a few months of having a little air in it. The performance is good, especially at the price. I spray a fair amount, especially when expecting lighter sillage, so given a good dose of this after my shower, I'm happy to say 9 hours in, and I'm still getting lovely little lofts of it at me all the time. In terms of the cloning ability here, I don't really care, and I'm not worried about it. I sniffed some GIT, and to me, this is on the money enough for me to wear it not knowing a difference at all. Stronger noses may disagree, but it garnered compliments, and delivered performance at a fraction of the cost, and for that it deserves a 10. A very fresh, green experience here, bit of powdery Iris to offset that fresh clean smell. It's so nice for a slightly warm spring day like I had today. 10/10!

Sweet Jesus of Nazareth. This is sublime. It was a toss up between this and Al Haramain Amber Oud Tobacco. As spring’s round the corner, I decided to spunk $60 AUD on this. The opening smells like a cross between a freshly cut lawn and J&J’s baby cologne you used to get in Europe. It’s a tad pungent, but starts to settle quickly. After 20 minutes, the dry down is in full swing and it’s simply stunning. I’ve never been fortunate enough to own a bottle of GIT, but I had a bottle of Cool Water years ago after it was first launched. I’m getting the CW vibe for sure, but there are a couple of extra notes in there that I’m trying to work out. Projection is good for around 1-2 hours before settling down. Fairly long lasting. I’m getting the occasional whiff 5-6 hours later, but I can imagine this going longer with a bit of warmth / heat from the summer sun. Beautiful scent. 👌🏻 Edit: Still trying to work out the extra notes. It’s more of a white flower dry down than I could remember with CW. Maybe a hint of citrus too. Knocked out with this.

This fragrance is excellent. If you’re looking for a fresh long lasting GIT clone, look no further. Just don’t over spray. You might go nose blind. Co workers can smell this with just 2 sprays on arms and 2 on chest under the shirt. Longevity is excellent. I easily get 8 -12 hours (or more) I haven’t gotten around to listing all my fragrances, but I have around 50 or so. Al Harriman has made a superb GIT clone . This is a keeper. The only thing negative I can say, is I’m not a fan of the bottle design. They should have put it in the same type of bottle as their “oud” style bottles instead. Edit: While it does smell vey similar to GIT, if you smell it up close you on your skin, you can discern some synthetic notes. And sometimes you can go nose blind with this. (You can’t really smell it, but others can) So that’s a bit of a drawback, not being able to enjoy the smell yourself. Anyway for the price it’s really good.

My nose is not trained, so take this with a grain of salt. This opens with fresh cut flower stems. I wanted to say fresh cut grass, but grass doesn't smell this good. On the other hand, cutting flowers doesn't quite give you the sense of volume that this opens with. It smells like I'm mowing a field of storm soaked violets and lemon verbena. I'd say the fragrantica note breakdown is pretty accurate. I got this because I love the drydown on GIT but I actually dislike GIT's opening. This has a gentler opening and a VERY similar drydown. Overall it is more powdery than GIT, but it still seems to evoke the King of Spring much better than other the other "clone" I have smelled, Coolwater. I despise coolwater and I can't believe people think is smells similar. I have not smelled Amber Oud Carbon, Aspen, or Tres Nuit so I cannot compare them. I'll update this with notes on performance after I've had it on for a few hours.

This is a great fragrance! In the genre of the fragrances compared to Green Irish Tweed, this one is significantly closer than the others I’ve smelled. GIT has a light, green opening with a note of neroli. It transcends gracefully to a delicate balance incorporating the sandalwood and ambergris. Though this fragrance is very similar, the adjectives “light” and “delicate” are definitely not applicable. It goes on heavy, but it lasts a lot longer. I have A-B tested them and it seems like this fragrance has a harsher, dark green ivy note instead of a light green neroli note. Overall, if you smell it after it’s been on a little bit, you would have to be very familiar with both to tell a difference. ... I’m on my second bottle and this what I’ll buy in the future.

I bought this well over a year ago and when I first tried it I couldn't STAND it. Immediate scrubber. Something was incredibly off putting, almost like rancid wax. I put it away and let it sit. Fast forward 4 months and I tried it again. Still a no go, that awful note was still there. I began to think I'd toss it and forget it. Wound up putting it back on the shelf in my linen closet. 8 months later I pick it up and try it one more time. All of a sudden it's this stunning utterly unisex fresh green grassy floral. I immediately thought of original Irish Spring soap (I loved this soap growing up). Ugly bottle aside it's now in the rotation for good. I'm really glad I stuck it away and forgot about it. Patience was definitely a virtue.

I’m really impressed with this offering, while it’s no replacement for GIT, it sure does come close. The opening is very citrusy, but it doesn’t last long as a main player. By the time you leave your front door it will take a back seat. It’s at this point that it really resembles GIT and to the untrained nose, indistinguishable. In fact, from a distance I think I would have a hard time. It leaves the other clones by a country mile. The notes are blended well and it’s a smooth journey after the opening. Whilst it wouldn’t be in the league of GIT, they don’t feel synthetic. And for the price, this an awesome bang for buck fragrance, love it! Glad I blind bought it.

What a fantastic dry down. Opens with bitter greenery that is quite punctual. This is darker than GIT and I could use more citrus, but it is very enjoyable. After about thirty minutes it becomes very powdery on me, although still with the backup of the musk. I get whiffs of old man every now and then. However after an hour the strong powder scent mellows out and becomes the GIT you know and love. It is as fantastic 2 hours as it is on your clothes the next day. Extremely affordable and fantastic. Easy to wear to the office for all ages (as long as you're OK with smelling like old man for up to an hour). Heavily recommend for the price.

I bought GIT after a sample, loved the fragrance. My gf says it smells like a dryer sheet which is the highest of awards from her very sensitive nose. I knew git wasn't as big on sillage, and I do sales so I really don't want to fume up a room. But for the money I spent on the git, wow very poor performance, so I read some reviews on here about this fragrance. Watched videos. And decided to order. Can I just say WOW! GIT may sit for a while. This is an amazing substitute much better than cool water and projects much better. You will love this and love yourself for not breaking the bank. I do not regret at all. I want 10 bottles.

GIT is my second fragrance of all time. My fiest bottlw of this was very good. However the last 2 I've had... they have this stink gross note in the drydown after 10min. It can smell it from half an arms length away. The second bottle i had I ended up throwing away and got another, thought it was a bad batch. My third still has it but not as strong as the second bottle. My first bottle I was very happy because this scratched the itch, I love the powdery notes in here. I will try a fourth bottle but if the same thing happens I'll have to stick to GIT. Has anyone else had this? First bottle 8/10 2nd & 3rd 5/10

Fresh, versatile, green woody foundation, long lasting with good sillage. Good value. Mostly use it for casual occasions, can be dressed up to semi-formal. PS:After 2 mos maceration, it has become stronger, more substantial in its scent profile. I love the invigorating opening, the grassy note even more, and with the smooth earthy dry-down, reminds of the fields and woods surrounding my home town in spring. I prefer it now over Dunhill Icon, one of my long time favourites. Moreover, it's more solid, rounded and stronger than Tres Nuit. Recommended. Deserves more attention and better ratings.

Green Irish Tweed will still be superior in performance by quite a lot, also more natural smelling ingredients, more rounded, polished and smoother scent, and most importantly if you like the scent DNA, there is nothing more satisfying than having the original. Yet Knight is incredible for the price, it is more sharper, more powdery, dusty version of GIT, making it even more masculine, if that is what you like. L'Aventure Knigh is easy one of the best clones yet and the performance is superb.

Now it’s spring again, I’ve got this beauty back out. I don’t know if it’s because it’s been rested for a few months, but 4 sprays today and it’s projecting like crazy. Again, 9-10 hours with regular trails. I even went down to our local dept store yesterday and had a blast of GIT. Different openings, but the dry down is 90% there with LK. Pick these up while you can. I’m starting to see prices hitting over $100 AUD now. Anyone know if it’s been discontinued?
