Mukhallath Al Sultan

Szultáni, császári parfüm. Csak szuperlatívuszokat érdemel. Kiváló minőségű olajok keveréke, melyet már a parfüm sűrű, tömény, szinte már-már balzsamos állaga is előrevetít. Itt nem olcsó komponensekről van szó, hanem valódi, hamisítatlan illóolajok precízen, mesteri tökéletességgel megkomponált keverékéről. Az érzékek fejedelmi kényeztetésben részesülnek, mert nem csak az illat, de a bőrön létrejövő finom, olajos, kényeztető érzet is része a pompának. Az agarfa és a szantál erőteljesen dominál benne, az agarolaj azonban kiváló minőségű, és kellő képpen meg lett szelídítve ahhoz, hogy "szalonképes" legyen, azaz akár irodai körülmények között is hordható. Ez a parfüm azonban nem irodába való, hanem ünnepségre, különleges alkalmakra, bár ettől az illattól a hétköznapok is különlegesebbé válhatnak viselőjüknek. A borostyán és a rózsa, a hihetetlenül finom, krémes szantállal együtt az agarfát mintegy magába fogadja, egymást erősítve, egymást kiemelve, de nem túlhangsúlyozva. A többi illatjegy már - az én bőrömön legalábbis - nem hangsúlyos, hanem pompás illatvarázst alkotva sokkal inkább ama bizonyos pontot rakja rá az i betűre. Jelenlétük tökéletes harmóniában van, a fentebbi domináns illatjegyekkel. Erőt, intelligenciát, határozottságot és jelenlétet sugároz, viselőjét magabiztossá téve. Pszichés hatása számomra nyugtató, meditatív módon koncentrálttá teszi az elmét. Van valami hipnotikus hatása az agar, szantál és rózsa keverékének, amely azonban nem fordul nőies jellegbe. A vetítés nagyon jó, de nem agresszívan tolakodó, a tartóssága az én bőrömön 8 óra, de utána is érezhető marad. A pulzuspontokra való alkalmazásán kívül érdemes még más helyeken - pl. a felsőtesten - is elhelyezni belőle egy-egy cseppet, az összhatás kedvéért. Felemelő érzés viselni. Csak azoknak ajánlom, akik a valódi keleti parfümök világába már részben beavatást nyertek, és felkészültek egy magasabb szintre való továbblépésre. Értékelés: 10/11 :)

The first wearing of this, I detected very little other than woods. Deep woods, particularly sandalwood which shines here. On subsequent wearings, I was easily able to pick out the fruity top notes I had somehow missed before. I do detect a small bit of plum, but more so mango which has a certain tart/sweetness to it which really helps to balance out the strong, woody facets. The floral notes give this some levity as well, though they are very well blended and difficult to discern individually. The orris root gives it a touch of a softer edge with a bit of powder that plays off the sandalwood nicely (there is initially a sharpness to the sandalwood, but it eventually mellows though never quite growing creamy.) The cedar/sandalwood/oud/amber combo has the same sort of feeling/effect as Profumum's Amante (Note di Profumum) which is first rate, but here there are florals and fruits to add to the effect. Overall, this scent has really grown on me after I was able to get past the first sampling - perhaps the key is to wear a bit more liberally to get the full effect. Nevertheless, I certainly appreciate its uniqueness. Like other attars, this is one that smells best in the air around you vs. pressing your nose up to your skin where you dabbed it. Very nice stuff, indeed.

Oud, spice, a gentle bergamot and a medley of florals and woods is what my nose tells me of Al Sultan. My favourite fruit, plum, is subtle here and bows elegantly to the magnificence of woods. I detect faintly geranium but it is well hidden from the front line which is dominated by oud. Why do I smell leather? It is there, a rather masculine and seductive presence. This is so well blended. I feared musk would be harsh but no, it is aromatic, soft and deep. Longevity very good and sillage. A friend today came to me and said that before she even saw me she could smell me(another one told me the same thing yesterday)! They usually say that one's reputation precedes them, with me it's scents..aye.. This new jewel leans on the masculine club but it can easily be unisex. The heavy, animalic character probably suits a colder weather. This is a great blend with oud as it's main star, totally unmissable!
