Portfolio Floral Sculpture

I am shocked at a few of the reviews calling this perfume "granny" or "screechy" as it is neither. What it is, is a beautiful incense/rose frag that is reminiscent of a Penhaligons's scent, and I have 14 of them, including 2 Halfeti's, although not identical to any of them..It also smells a bit like Nirvana Rose by Elizabeth & James, but has a softer incense than NR..a nicer blend. Some folks are comparing it to POAL, and I can see why, but for the $$, this one is more reasonably priced and just as nice, IMO. I got my bottle from Perfume Spot for $69 total. Who can argue with that...🤷 First, the presentation is impressive, coming in a plush lined box and nestled in a leatherette pouch, so it's great for gift giving to your fav lord or lady, as it really is unisex. It opens with a blast of peppery carnation/ incense, which becomes softer quickly. As it dries down, the rose begins to come forward but, while evident, it never takes over, just sings in harmony with the other notes. It's the dry down that I love. A perfectly blended incense/rose that I could still smell in the morning, little wafts from under the sheets, more like a whisper of skin scent, still quite evident on my nightclothes. I loved it so much, I immediately bought a back up bottle. Perfect for fall, winter, nighttime, special occasion...it might be a little much for very hot weather, I haven't had the chance to try it then. NOTE- if you hate patchouli, this one is not for you.. While it isn't harsh or overpowering, it is always there, holding court with the rose and ambergris/benzoin incense goodness. A definite 10/10 overall, especially for such a decent price.

Incredible fragrance 👀 But I didn't get any rose, maybe at the later stages... For me it was rather shocking 😱, because in fact, I have smelled Middle - European alpine meadows ⛰️💐🌸💮🏵️🌺🌼🌷 How on earth could Arabs know the smell of all the alpine meadow flowers??? 👀 That lightly honey sweet, a bit bitter, herbal (thyme, clary sage, chamomile, grass, fir-needles), buzzy but calming scent of the summer in the woods??? A fantastic lingering smell of freedom and holidays? This was how it smelled to me and this was what I was looking for ages. Smelling hundreds of perfumes, no one managed to do it so far, until I bumped into an "oriental" perfume. This is probably the least expected place for it, right? No one expects people living in Sahara create aquatic perfumes 🤦♀️. This perfume smells heavenly and I would give it 10/5. This is how good this perfume is. Another benefit is that no one talks about it, right? We do not want to share our secrets 🤐. It is pretty expensive, but one day I will have a full bottle of it, I promise it to myself 🍾🍷😍

Subtle, non-overwhelming, sweet & jammy Rose fragrance mixed with Amber & Patchouli. There's something coming across as a Cumin-like accord which thankfully doesn't stick around for long. There's Ambroxan and Musk in there too. The Benzoin doesn't come across super powdery to me but more as a sweet, spicy Vanilla. The Amber is pretty prominent to my nose. Longevity of all the Al Haramain Portfolio fragrances are all very good. This is not a huge projector after it dries down but it sticks around for a very long time. Sillage will be good for maybe an hour max then just wafts after that when you move around. I wouldn't say this is a blind buy worthy fragrance. When I first smelled this, I wasn't a huge fan immediately, but then i caught myself going back in for smells throughout the day and finally, I liked it. I got this full presentation for $65. Don't think i'd pay much more than $70 for this.....but I know prices can be all over the place. Haven't smelled POAL, so no basis for comparison but I hear the vibe is very much similar.

After you get past the strong gasoline opening( it disappears very quickly), this is a very beautiful rose and incense perfume. The closest I can compare it to was Nirvana Rose, which is no longer available except in a few ancient smelling roll-ons. I couldn't walk anywhere without getting compliments on that one. This is a more expensive M.E. perfume, but worth every penny. The rose, carnation and spicy, woody, incense-y scent is so lovely. A man COULD wear this, and frankly, I would love to smell this on a confident, put together gentleman. Wear a good suit with this one. The performance is great, it lasts nicely and the sillage is phenomenal. The drydown is lovely on the skin. I immediately ordered a back up bottle. I still have a couple FBs of Nirvana Rose but feel better that I found this one as a replacement of sorts. It really is a gem.

One of the best fragrance I had smelled ever, this is very long lasting even if my skin doesn't have a great chemical reaction with most of the fragrances this one it does stays for 8-10 hours on me and projects very good 6 feet's around the wearer for about 4 to 5 hours, I am so happy I purchased this perfume and is unisex also not just for women's. I've got so many compliments wearing this fragrance is impossible people don't smell you. Longevity: 8-10 hrs, 5/5 Projection/sillage: 4-6 feet's for about 4-5 hours, 5/5 Compliments factor: 5/5 Totally recommend 5/5.

Beautiful opulent rose dominant fragrance, with sublime and refreshing slightly green vibe of black currant in the opening. The dry-down reveals patchouli with its earthy nuance and powdery touches. Really upscale scent which seems to be quite reminiscent to the masterpiece Portrait of a Lady from FM and bits of Rose by Molinard. This is my very first rose perfume and love it. At the first sniff, I thought it leaned more feminine. But when I wore it I can say it's definitely more unisex. Its a beautiful fragrance and now glad I bought it. It last for at least 8+ hours on my skin and the quality is very good and love the opening. Highly recommend this fragrance for those who like rose or want to get in to rose fragrances.

I usually do not write reviews, but this is an exception. I love this perfume! Everything about it is beautiful. It does remind me of POAL. I used to wear Protrait of A Lady all the time. Until my last bottle which NOT long lasting whatsoever. It was like water. So I found the Portfolio by accident since my husband wears middle eastern perfumes. I am glad I did.

Mother of goodness. This stuff is nuclear!! Do not, I repeat DO NOT spray more than once. 1 spray is all you need! Looking for a better POAL? Here it is! The Arab world has done rose for ages. It's a love. Dark Dark unisex rose. Jammy, dark fruit, super jammy. Zero powder, which I love. The details of a rose are great when powder is not used. 10/10

BRUH! Is it ok for a rose fragrance to smell this good on a man?! Al Haramain may not have copied Portrait of a Lady exactly...and thats just fine. Floral Sculpture smells awesome for the fall/winter. Strong silage, longevity and projection. Winner in my book.

This is great stuff, with strong rose from the start and some flower bouquet and a not too sweet patchouli. Leans a little bit more on the feminine side, and wouldn't recommend it for someone younger than 30 y/o.

Love at first sniff. If you are looking for a high quality and long lasting rose fragrance, this is it. Perfectly unisex. Packaging is top notch aswel. I am very impressed by Al Haramain.

Searching for a masculine floral? This one almost fits the bill and can easily be worn if you have an inkling of confidence.

So disappointed. This perfume has been reformulated. So sad it was my favorite perfume.

This is my 3rd and favorite rose fragrance. That's what I was looking for. Love it.

Very beautiful dark rose, with a gothic twist, and I' m saying gothic, because it has some incense/myrrh type of smell, that you can encounter in churches. However, having rose and carnation in there really balances it all out, and you get a spicy, dark, oriental type of rose floral fragrance, that lasts a long time and makes a statement. This one is not for those people who like their fragrances airy and delicate, this is a bold, impression-making fragrance, that performs better in cold weather. I have not smelled Portrait of a Lady yet, but if it bares any resemblance to this, I really, really want to try. However, I highly recommend this one, it's a game changer

This is a spicy well-balanced floral bouquet. Normally, anything this flowery would be placed firmly on the feminine side for me but the spices and a bit of greenery draw this closer towards unisex for men comfortable smelling like flowers. There are no flowery notes in the drydown but I could still smell the flowers hours later on the tester strip. Ranked beside Cupid's Rose and Oriental Forest, which I tried in the Al Haramain shop, this was No. 2. Good performance for longevity and projection. Excellent choice for cooler weather either day or night use.

I am... extremely confused. I knew this wouldn’t be a true PoaL clone, and was expecting a lighter take on the rose-patchouli-amber DNA. But all I’m getting is bergamot and woods. I have a sample of PoaL and see no resemblance whatsoever. Did I get a dud? Where’s the rose? I’ll leave this to age in my drawer a bit and hope that the opening calms down while florals somehow blend and come through... but as of right now, this to me is a woody-citrusy, masculine-leaning fragrance. EDIT: I looked on the brand’s website, and it looks like the entire scent was redone at some point. The note pyramid is now entirely different from the one shown here (and on my retailer’s website...). It’s now primarily a woody-citrusy scent with orange blossom. Just FYI.

I tested it quite a bit but it's just not for me... If you want something very jammy rosy floral borderline "granny fragrance" and with patchouli that will last you a whole day this is it. I can't remember the last time I had a fragrance that would just keep going and going until I was done with it... It's incredibly floral for the first 4 hours and the drydown is quite masculine with the base notes followed by an eternal patchouli note. Get a tester, if you like this kinda scent profile I have no doubt this one is one of the best there is.

I’m a rose lover but this was very disappointing. I’ve had others in the Portfolio line but this one is predominantly lead pencil shavings with a dusty peony rather than rose. It’s trying to be POAL but on me the pencil shavings dominate with a slight lipstick scent. There’s a sour sex-musk in the background that I pick up on which is now a deal breaker - this makes me sound loopy but if you detect it, you know.
