Twin Flower

This is a lovely perfume oil I also love the packaging. I really enjoy Al Haramain oils and thought they would be a nice source for some Oriental niche perfumes. I'm so happy I came across this company because I was so tired of traditional western fragrances and wanted to try something new. Now on me I smell rose and white musk for sure. I get a nice incense scent once this settles on my skin. I like rose scents but this one is good for me because it's not super sweet. I like sweet scents but not sickly sweet.. This fits the bill for me in that it's floral but not too heavy. This is a great warm weather scent for me. It lasts for hours and ends in a my skin but better fragrance on me. Those that do not like rose would probably not like this. Me loving florals and musks I find this scent right up my alley. This will last forever as I only need a drop on my pulse points but I hope I can buy more in the future. I just might buy some back ups because I really like this oil. Al Haramain makes some really lovely oils and for the price they smell more expensive than they are in my opinion. Really well made juice. I will be trying more from them.

Birds of a feather flock together. Imagine two languid, dark-eyed gentlewomen snoozing in a seventies mood room of an attic, leaning on a white, vibrant town. They are entwined in their sleep, waiting for having dinner with their closest friends, in the hottest evening of the year. Soft prog as musical background, an oily magnolia and rice steam saturates the bathroom in which they have just taken a shower togheter, before bedtime. A golden afternoon walks away on tiptoes. The gentlewomen wake up at ten to eight p.m. and hurry slowly to the dinner, in their ruffled linen dresses.

This is a very BOLD perfume oil. The best way I would describe it is like this: a beautiful golden rose in the desert surrounded by sweet violets. It is warm-spicy, glowing, feminine, and has some sweetness to it. It's quite heavy and can be overwhelming at first whiff, but it's a perfume that will grow on you. The scent lasts forever, so only a small amount is needed.

The top and heart with its bright aldehyde, floral, and subtle fruit combination reminds me of another Al Haramain fragrance called either 'Khaltath' or 'Mukhallat'- yet it is softer... with a lovely base of white musk, amber, woods, and a note that reminds me of coconut or cashews that becomes more apparent on the drydown. Like others have noted, 'Twin Flowers' projects vividly, sharply for the first 2 hours or so and recalls the soapy, "clean" florals of the '80's, but the drydown after this is better-behaved, soft, and quite pleasant. Solid "like" from me, 3/5 stars.

To smell expensive and gorgeous: take a shower, while still damp, mix (fully) a drop or two of Twin Flower into a pump or three of Palmers Coco Butter Oil, rub it all over your body.

floral and powdery with vintage vibe, very strong oil, at the beginning the smell is sharp but the dry down is pleasant, very interesting!

This absolute beast should have been named "Assaulted by Twin Flower", in a magical fantasy world where "Twin Flower" was the name of a soapy clean but short-tempered female bodybuilder who owns a flower shop. The rose and violet in this are on steroids, and they will grab you by your lapels, slam you on the ground and punch the sweet smells of spring and Parma violets into you. I put this on before locking myself in my room for a study session, and I almost choked to death for the first 2 hours or so. (After that point, it becomes much tamer). I don't care what anyone says: this, to me, is a UNISEX fragance; it's for people, regardless of gender, who aren't scared of bold, sudsy florals. Islamic and Indian leaders perfumed themselves with essential oil of rose, violet and musk; I know for a fact that, if legendary Arabic warrior al-Walid was alive, he would have loved to be Assaulted by Twin Flower.

Wow, on me this is the rosiest of rose scents ever. I pretty much smell that and a nutty/almond smell at first, then back to the rose. Very linear on me but a fresh, natural rose - just beautiful. There is also a green note for me, a subtle, refreshing one, that is not overwhelming (i.e. not like Green Irish Tweed). It is a soft smelling perfume. Not intrusive at all. Very nice.Later I get the powdery note but this is very harmonious with the rose. I would probably layer this with Wisal by Ajmal. Could try some other approaches but it would be safe to go with strong rose scents and sandalwood perhaps?

This is a sillage monster! I barely swiped the perfume wand over the top of my arms and gently rubbed it in. Wow! I think my nose is numb. It's pleasant but I think I'm definitely going to make an eau de toilette out of the oil. I hope the dry down mellows it out a bit. Right now I am overwhelmed by all its notes, all at once, and I can't differentiate one note from another. Oh wait, I think I smell some rose.... This is not discreet by any means. It is bold and demands attention! Use sparingly, one drop is more than enough.

Vintage feel, with a flowery opening, at first notes feels like being transported in time in my granny's bathroom... it reminds me how her soap used to smell. Then... right in the middle notes, I can sense a stingy smell of stale pee. No idea what gives that impression or if that's how it smells on my skin, but it is a turn off. I love Al Haramain perfumes and I plan to purchase more of them, just this one isn't my cup of tea.

I wanted a rose-vanilla particular fragrance, so I bought this one. MY GOD it'too too heavy, the first 15 minutes I was ready to wash myself again, but finally I decided to wait. My nose was really suffering. After 2 hours it's more more gentle, but it's a too classic female for me. I'm giving it to my mum, because in my opinion it's more suitable for a middle aged women. It seems to come directly from the '20!

Nice! Worth it, specially for the low price. I agree it leaves a big sillage during the first hours, a tasty sweet woody rose jasmine, with a tipically arabic aura. It somehow reminds me of the Montale style.
