Le Temps D'Aimer

this was a lucky find in a random scent bundle. I love it, I'm imagining being in a Chesterfield club chair by a roaring fire with a spiced rum coconut cocktail. Many of my favorite scents are Chypre with fruity and warm notes like peach and patchouli for evenings / winter, o green / fresh flower for daytime. These are the precious ones to me, so well blended and complex that no 'floral' stands out; the abstract sophistication that doesn't date (despite the current trends). This one is a great addition to my wardrobe and I can't compare it to anything else - I suspect this is the coconut note which is normally a disaster on me, apart from the one or two that are creamy and well blended.

A special bouquet reflecting the female fragrance trends of the early eighties. Delicate, classy and formal. Floral, leather, peach, patchouli, cloves and vanilla are definitely prominent. Its has a stand alone, great personality to it despite playing along the lines of the fashionable style of that time. Its pure class, its Alain Delon!

I bought this beautiful perfume back in 1985, and I loved it! I want so very much to buy a new bottle of my fav scent =))

I first was gifted a bottle of this whilst visiting Switzerland as a teenager, and it quickly became my signature scent. I wore it on dates and at times when I just wanted to reminisce about Europe. As I matured, this fragrance grew with me. It’s the scent my now-adult children knew as mum. I have spent many years and many dollars searching for a dupe of this scent... people mention Samsara and Femme and Champagne but whilst they share some notes, none are as well rounded as Le Temps D’Aimer. Indeed on my skin they are loud, old woman scents. And while I am now over 50, in no way do I look or feel old. So I have no desire to smell it! The house of Roja seems to draw inspiration from the chypre scents of the 1980s so I shall sample Diaghilev. Initio scents evoke some of the chypre characteristics I love: that woody, oak moss and civet combination, that, when blended with coconut and gentle florals, is an absolute aphrodisiac. Mr Delon is an iconic Fench film star so one could view his line as "celebrity". Le Temps D'aimer (time for love) was launched in 1981. It is a complex wonder in the classic french style, still very pretty and wearable. The notes listed are accurate. But if you are fearful of aldehydes, this opening does not bomb you, and when the drydown comes, the coconut and animalic basenote combo is really compelling. I went through a mini of this very quickly and was fortunate enough to find a vintage tester bottle online to replace it so I can indulge again. Would that all celebuscents be as charming and well-made. Vive le temps d'aimer!

Wow... This guy knows which fragrance to pick! every fragrance i sniffed by him is quite enchanting! i believe it's the coconut civet mix that he always uses in his fragrances! Now in here the patchouli isn't dominant as voted, it's there but not the dominant. the dominant is the aldehydes, ylang, oakmoss, coconut, then comes the civet, rosewood, peaches, & vanilla. It is complex at max which yields an extreme addictive blend of charm! First "Iquitos" then this one. Captivating.

Sweet - but not sugary - sensual perfume. Peach, cloves, patchouli, leather and civet, can it get better than this? Vintage Femme meets Champagne/Yvresse.... This is one of my favourite chypres! And I have quite a few..... Been on the lookout for a new bottle, since I used up the very last drop of the old one. So glad I finally found me another one :)

Es mi primera opinión sobre un perfume en fragrántica Le Temps D`Aimer es uns fragancia compleja, intensa, se percibe en ella gran variedad de elementos, con fuerte personalidad y refleja el tiempo en que fue creada, los 80. La usaré para ocasiones especiales pues esta fragancia me hace sentir segura y me inspira un sentimiento interior de plenitud.

Mmmm! Sexy, sharply aldehydic at first, but mellows down into a lovely warmth. It is definitely sophisticated, nicely anamalic and lasts well on me. This was a blind buy, a vintage small bottle from Ebay. I'm glad I took a chance. Very much my kind of perfume, womanly and warm. I'm just waiting for Les Temps d' aimer now LOL!!

This perfume is very very close to Parfum d'Hermes (edt -old) which is very very close to Chamade ..... Nothing new under the sun :-D If only I knew !!!!! This review is based on a mini,maybe edt (?).Will have to check again. The deo smells entirely different ,which does not happen with other perfumes.

I had it when it was new on market.I loved it so much.I can still remember the lovely fragrance. Where can I buy it????We don ́t have it in Sweden.
